Update

I decided to write an update about Christmas we are getting ready to get out of town for a couple of days and there has been some exciting things going on so I thought that I would update then update again once we get back. Well we did get everything finished for Christmas of course we bought our last gifts on December 24th but they got done so that’s all that’s important right? Now the Update!

On Friday night I came home from work and I was watching Tiger and I haven’t written about this before but Tiger has had some bladder problems recently. I thought he had an infection and so we put him in the bathroom to watch him to make sure he didn’t get worse. Well we called the vet and told her what was going on and they wanted us to get a “sample” and I was like are you kidding me? Or they said we could bring him and they are very convenient as far as when they are open so we told them we would call them if he got worse. Well he got better a couple of days he was ready to leave the bathroom he was eating and playing fine. Well he came in one evening and he started to squat on my shoes, the air vents, the carpet but nothing was happening. Well I was like uht oh that’s not good. Well I was like this is no good and I was kind of just waiting to see what happened. I called to talk to the vet and the vet said they were going to be open over the weekend. So I was trying to find someone that would take him on Saturday and everyone was pretty much closed so my only solution was taking him to the emergency clinic in Lafayette. We took him and they basically said that he was in critical condition and they would have to do all of these things to him and the estimate was VERY expensive and they said that they really needed an answer because they would take him back and get started on him. I looked at Tait and I told him that I just didn’t then we could afford it. It was a horrible choice to make I hate basing decisions based on if we can afford it but we just couldn’t. So we choose to put him down. It was very sad and I cried. The lady at the clinic told me that I made the right decision and that really didn’t help it made me feel worse actually. So it was a sad beginning to the weekend.

On Christmas Eve Lehna woke and we noticed that the house was pretty chilly. We had turned the thermostat up and we could hear it kick on but the fans weren’t kicking on. This was at two in the morning that this happened sooooo Tait got up and I put Lehna in the bed with me just to try to keep us warm. Well Tait called his parents and Tim wasn’t sure what was wrong with it so Tait started calling furnace places to come fix it. Mind you it was 2 in the morning and he did get a hold of a company that has fixed our furnace before and they said they were currently on a call but as soon as they got done they would come to our house. So until then Tait was in the front room waiting for them to show up and Lehna and I were snuggled together in the bed of course when you sleep with a two year old next to you there really isn’t much “sleeping” involved she kicked and twisted and turned for hours. Well then the furnace guy came at 6 am and he was there not more than an hour. In the hour he was able to get the furnace running again but he was explaining what was wrong with it to me and he told me that b/c of the type of furnace this is and how old it is he said that we really need to replace it. Soooooo So much for windows this year, so we talked to him about what type of furnace we need to get and he gave us the application for the financing and said he would call us to give us an estimate and all that jazz. So I was VERY grateful for the guy to come and fix the furnace on Christmas Eve at 6 am in the morning. I told Tait that they are the people we are going to use from now on b/c this is the only time this has happened and they were more than willing to come and help us.

So Christmas came and it was wonderful. Lehna was so cute the entire time. She enjoyed unwrapping the gifts and she was into it. We would have to get her attention to unwrap more then she would get the toy or whatever and want to play with it instantly and I kept telling her that she has to wait until we get them all out. So she would wonder back to open more then wonder away it was pretty cute. She of course did VERY well as far as gifts everyone was VERY generous so thank you very much. Our living room is now piled again with toys. We are going to have to move some things around very quickly to get things settled before the baby gets here!

The kitchen Lehna got was GREAT I thought it was only going to be a few pieces to put together HECK no it wasn’t! It took 2 ½ hours and 54 different screws that didn’t count all the “snap together pieces” so it took awhile but she was so cute when we finally got it open and set up. She ran over to it and pushes the microwave and goes Beep beep Beep and shuts the door very cute! She also plays with the food puts it on the plate then walks over to sit in the chair to pretend to eat. It was a huge hit! So it was worth the 2 ½ hours of labor to put it together. She also got a few dolls, doll bed, stroller, shopping cart, and lots of food to play with at her kitchen. So she is all set!

Baby B even got a few things. She got a picture frame, diapers, and transition cup. So I’m sure Baby B thanks you too once she realizes what’s going on. I can’t wait until she gets here not only because I will no longer be pregnant but also b/c I think she will be a nice addition to our circus!

We went to Peru for Christmas Eve so we were able to stay until Christmas night and we left early the 26th so I could go back to work. It was nice being able to stay with the Wagner’s I didn’t play bingo which is really a shocker since usually we go to play bingo when we get there. We got to see my side of the family Christmas afternoon. It was great. We played the gift exchange game at Grandma’s and I was impressed the exchange level definitely came up a bit. So that was nice I think the $50 incentive helped! The gift that got exchanged the most was of course alcohol Steven created a Hot Chocolate kit and it had peppermint schnapps, chocolate, and a few other things in there but it was stolen a lot, but second was the gift certificate I BROUGHT! Yeah for Red Lobster! It was big hit well next to the alcohol. Steven said that since he was donating the $50 he didn’t want to win the money so he gave it to me! So now we had $50 to go to Red lobster since the damn card got stolen from me SEVERAL times… even Tait was trying to keep it but still it didn’t help. We played an additional twist to the game… we had a “mystery prize” where we couldn’t unwrap the gift but you could trade for it and it wasn’t going to get opened until the VERY end and we also had a “chance” card you had to pull once all the trading was over which the chance card could say simply Merry Christmas or it could say Trade presents with the Mystery Presents, or Everyone must trade two presents to the right or something like that. It definitely made the game more interesting the last switch was of course at the VERY end and we all “thought” we were going to end up with great presents but it didn’t matter much. It was fun though. After we did the game we did the traditional picture. We moved rooms this year to the front family room only b/c they feared for the floor and it collapsing so they moved it. The picture was of course fabulous you know we always take great pictures! Then we played an 80’s trivia game that took A LONG time to finish. I was ready to end it since I was only not even 10 years old during that time it made it a little more difficult. That was all we played though so I was a little sad about that. We didn’t play any games at Thanksgiving so that was sad that we only played on game. Lehna was very entertained climbing on me then running back around the table to Tait it was kind of funny. She had like a sugar rush though she started to jump on my legs and bang her head and stuff it was like the sugar took hold of her it was crazy. Heather kept taking her from my lap since she was sooooo hipper. By the time it was time to go home she crashed. She fell asleep on Tait and we got her home changed her clothes and she was out for the count.

On Tuesday we went to Chuck E Cheese for Camryn’s birthday. Lehna ran around again like a crazy fool but she was good it she didn’t throw a fit or anything. She definitely didn’t want “help” for anything though she would go “I want up” to different things when she couldn’t climb up them by herself but she would attempt to climb on her own first. By the time we were ready to go she was pretty ready as well. She would want to go back to table to get drinks of pop and then want to leave to go run around again. It was funny though b/c every time we put a token in she would get up and want to go somewhere else she wasn’t interested at all at “riding” or playing the games she just wanted to sit on it for awhile then run to the next one. We left and she didn’t cry or anything she was ready to go which made it very easy. Once we got in the car she was still a chatter box and we had gotten some pizza and she wanted some of that and not long after that she was fast asleep. It was nice.

Tomorrow we head for Wisconsin I CAN’T WAIT! I have been waiting for this trip for awhile so it will be fun! Well that’s my update for right now. Nothing too exciting nothing over the top, I will update once we get back from Wisconsin.

Here's What's Happening!

An Update before Christmas! I have my ultrasound for Baby B today! I’m very excited about it so I’m hoping to get some good video clips from it and maybe we will be able to get it up on the blog… don’t hold your breathe but you never know! I am just hoping that they tell me we are still having a girl! B/c I have gotten her some outfits and then I can announce her name that we have decided on. Some know some do not but it will be OFFICIAL we aren’t changing it… aren’t even looking anymore.

So anyways this is like 4 days before Christmas and I got almost everything wrapped yesterday. I have a few more things to wrap but other than that I’m pretty much done. I’m going to go on Friday to get Tait and Lehna’s stocking stuffers but other than that we should be ready to roll. This is good b/c we are having our Christmas on Saturday. I cannot wait to see Lehna open up her gifts she is going to be VERY excited. The poor baby is under the weather today. She woke up with a fever so we kept her home from daycare. Trent was wonderful and came down and was able to watch her today while Tait had to go to his different appointments so that was very lucky for us. I didn’t feel good on Tuesday of this week so if she has the same thing I had on Tuesday I know how the poor girl feels. So hopefully she’ll be ready to go tomorrow mine lasted about 24 hours so hopefully she’ll be swinging again tomorrow.

I still have a few more little odds and ends to get for stockings but then I’m done. Nothing like waiting until the VERY last minute its funny Tait was shopping for Christmas for me last night and I told him to pick Lehna up a new baby doll (I know she is getting TONS) but I wanted her to have a new one at home too. So he got her a new baby and I sat it on the chair and it was there for a couple of hours but Lehna looked at it and started to get closer to it and then noticed it was a baby. This kid got SOOOOO EXCITED she started pointing and walking over to me and then walking over to Tait almost chanting “baby baby baby” over and over and pointing at it. She would kind of do this little squat dance as she pointed walking back and forth it was really cute. So I looked at Tait and asked him if we could open up her doll for her and he said yes. So we opened it up and we let her have it and she watched Tait and he was opening the box it was so cute. So after he got the baby free from the box he handed it to her and she walked over to me and goes “baby” and it’s one of those baby with eyelids that open and close and the baby’s eyes were closed and she goes “shhhhhh” and I go is the baby sleeping and she goes “yeah” as she handed me the baby to hold as she went to go get a blanket for the baby. It was so cute. So we are going to video tape Christmas b/c it was too cute not to have as a memory. It was so sweet though I have never seen her so excited over a baby before.

I think it will be interesting to see how Lehna is with the new baby. As far as I can tell right now she’s going to be a great big sister and it’s going to be fun watching her interact with her. I think once the baby gets old enough to really watch Lehna and Lehna learns that she can be entertained by her then it will be really cute to watch Lehna “perform” for her. So I can’t wait it will be fun to watch them both grow.

This week we had the guy come from bee windows come and give us an estimate on how much it’s going to be for new windows and I’m VERY excited about it. We have been looking to get some new windows for awhile and with the new baby coming it has become a necessity so we are going to get that done hopefully they will be in late February which would be GREAT! I can’t wait for them though it will be wonderful! We are going to just do half of them now and then the other half later. Which we’ll be able to open the front windows which will be such a change from what we can do right now, right now we can’t open the windows in the front room and the new baby’s room the windows leak cold air so badly that we have to get them changed. So it will be nice once they are all fixed. Then maybe we’ll keep the shades in the living room pulled up more. So they are going to come up this Friday again just to do the finalization so that will be nice. I can’t wait! I hope everything goes well and we can get the widows we want.

What else is going on in our lives I can’t wait for Christmas I think that this is going to be a great Christmas just to see Lehna light up will be so cool. She’s such an animated kid anyways I can’t imagine what she will do once she learns she can tear paper and see treasures. I am still looking for another gift the “gift exchange” at grandma’s this Christmas. We are going to have a “competition” for the best gift and most original gift. The one gift I got I don’t think will win any competitions so I wanted the second one to have a least a fighting chance and I’m not really finding anything that will take the prize. I should just get a bottle of Jack Daniels last year that’s what was passed the most. I don’t know though I have to try and figure something out I’m kind of running out of days so I’d better come up with some fast!

Okay well here is an update IN and update… how about that. That just goes to show you how LONG it takes me to write this HORRIBLELY long updates but I’m back from the doctor and it looks like we have another girl, they think. They can’t say 100% but from what the saw it’s a girl of course they said that with her legs and tight as they were there “maybe” parts hidden but a girl is what they are calling it her lines are that “pronounced” I guess so that’s what makes it difficult I guess but the technician said that she thinks it’s a girl. So I’ll take that so I think to be “safe” Tait and I will probably come up with a boys name JUST incase but we are good to go for the most part. Helen said that we better take blue just in case to make sure that he won’t have to go home in blue if she ends up being a he. So we will get it alllllll covered.

So the name… well I’m going to be a stinker and NOT tell you… hehehehehehehehe kind of mean I know but I want to wait just a little bit longer b/c I really DON’T want my mind changed and I really like the names… sooooooo there you go.

Well thanks for reading about us I’m going to close now. Have a safe Christmas and I hope Santa brings you EVERYTHING your hearts desire.

Hey guess what SANTA IS COMING!

Okay so most of you know that Santa is getting ready to come and visit everyone’s houses… but let me tell you being his helper this year… I really haven’t gotten much of my share done… as a matter of fact I haven’t done ANY of the shopping yet. I am going to do it this weekend though and I CAN’T WAIT! Every year I tell myself that I am going to shop earlier just to make sure that I don’t have to run around at the last minute… well it didn’t happen this year! But I don’t think it ever happens I think it’s just something I like to tell myself so I don’t feel bad. It doesn’t really work although I normally don’t feel bad so maybe it does work!

Speaking of Santa boy I think we need to put Lehna on Santa’s Bad list from her little espoide from last night. I went to pick her up at daycare and she wanted to walk through the gate and I was trying to lift her over it. Well she throws herself down on the ground kicking and screaming and crying... it was GREAT! Well I am trying to convince this child to stand up so I can lift her up the lady goes... well let me hand her to you... she is KICKING and screaming. So I have to carry her down the hallway like a sack of flour b/c she won't stop crying all the way down the hall passing parents and other children... I saw friends of our and he goes "what did you do" and laughed and said "oh I like to pinch her occasionally" and walked on I was ready to beat her! We get to the car and this kid CRIES the ENTIRE TRIP HOME A 20 MINS TRIP! We pull up to our house and she's FINALLY silent! I have to get out of the car b/c we only have one garage door opener right now. So I get out and come back and the angel child is crying AGAIN! So I tell her that we are going to go see the puppies and she goes Molly... in her language that I only understand.. .and I go Yep Molly and she stops crying... the brat child! Tait called me and I asked him if he was on his way home and he goes... well I would like to see another family and I go... can you please come home Lehna is about ready to be killed and he's like.. yep on my way home now... so I thought that was VERY nice of him to come home... when he got home he said that he didn't think it would look very good in the paper that the wife of a DCS/CPS worker murder his daughter in the paper! I told him he was probably right! She was just awful last night. I don’t know if it was just the terrible two attitude or what it was crazy. So we shall see how she is tonight. I keep telling her Santa is watching her of course I don’t think she understand what that means… I mean she just kind of stares at your when you talk to her about Santa.

I have been working on my Christmas list all day and it gets longer the more I work with it! Which is kind of fun! Tonight is my office party and I am very excited about it! We are having a chef come in and cook the food for us so that will be kind of nice. Our employers LOVES to spoil us and I enjoy that tremdously. We are supposed to bring white elephant gifts and I went though my house yesterday and I found so many things that I could re-gift! I was very excited and it was kind of fun! I don’t want what I’m bringing but it will be funny to watch the other people open them up.

This week I injured my back some how and so I have been nursing my back a week. I really don’t know how I did it but after sitting for a couple of hours everyday I feel like I’m going to die. I called the doctor on Tuesday to tell him my back was hurting to see what “remedies” I could do and they basically said that I can’t do anything about it except take Tylenol and for me to ice it for the first 24 then heat the next… that really didn’t work and the Tylenol really wasn’t a good fix. But it’s feeling better today I just don’t know what I did to it. It still hurts when I pick Lehna up and stuff and when I sit and work and stand up after a couple of hours of sitting I usually feel the strain but laying down it feels pretty good. Last night I slept as still as possible so it wouldn’t hurt at all!

Next week we have an ultrasound appointment scheduled for Baby B I am pretty excited about it. I just hope they tell us baby b is still a girl… I’m kind of “nervous” about that, I know I shouldn’t be but you never know, things could Pop out… But it will be nice to see the baby again. We have a named picked out again for this week. So I’m not going to share it yet b/c I don’t want it to change. I middle name still hasn’t changed it’s going to be Elizabeth so it will be nice! I think it’s a nice connector name but the first name… I’m going to keep it a secret for at least another week… only b/c that will ensure that it will still stay around. I change my mind a lot… Okay well this is enough of an update just a bunch of rambling now. So thanks for reading about us.

Turkey Wrap Up

Well here’s the TURKEY WRAP UP!

I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is gone and over with already. Man this year is flying by it’s hard to believe! Well this Thanksgiving was filled with surprises well one anyways. I got to see my Aunt Sam! I love getting to see her and we don’t get to see her very much so I was VERY excited to see her at Thanksgiving apparently it was a surprise and Stephen was the only one who knew so I was excited to she her and even though we didn’t play any games we had some interesting conversations anyways.

We went to see Tait’s grandparents on Thanksgiving for lunch and it was good to see the family. The house wasn’t too packed this time which was kind of nice most everyone had been their earlier to visit and by the time we got there we were like the “second shift” of people so we didn’t have to move around too much to find seats which were nice! Their house is VERY small so when you go there and you get a seat you don’t move b/c then you won’t be able to sit down again. It’s kind of silly but that’s the way it works. They were excited to see Lehna and she was pretty good for the most part. She would eat a little off the plate and then go and get something off of someone else’s plate she’s definitely a scamp when it comes it eating she would rather pick at your plate then get her own. I guess it takes too much time to sit and eat or something. But she was very shy around the grandparents which I totally expected she just doesn’t know them very well so that’s why. We just don’t get there very often unfortunately we just are usually so busy and it just is hard to get down there. I want to get down there for Christmas we just won’t be able to go on Christmas b/c we will probably be at the Wagner’s then to my grandma’s that evening so we will have to plan for another day for that.

After the Wagner’s we went to my families Thanksgiving in Peru and boy did I eat! I love porgies so I got to eat my FILL of them and let me tell you it was A LOT! Grandma tried a new one which I was NOT brave enough to try it was called sour krout and pork… it sounded gross and I just wasn’t brave enough but everything else was pretty tasty. I love the fruit one’s so I had a lot of them and they go FAST so you have to get them quick. I want to make them for my home but I don’t know if I would do them justice so the only one’s I have tried is when Jackie and I made Pumpkin filled one’s and we put them in oil to fry and they were pretty tasty. We had a good time at Thanksgiving Lehna pretty much played with Tait the whole time she would come up to me on occasion just to make sure I was still around but she would run around and then back and forth. It was pretty cute.

On Friday we went to BINGO and I did get to yell BINGO once. I bingo’ed with someone else so I had to split the money but I bought pull tabs with it… and out of like 50 bucks in pull tabs we had 4 entries and we didn’t win CRAP it was very disappointing. But we had a good time anyways. Then we also went to Birthday Party for Little Tanna she’s now 25… I guess she’s only one year younger then me but still… So then by Sunday I was ready to come home and pick up all the mess at our house. We got home and it wasn’t too bad as far as the mess it has been worse before so it was nice today.

That was pretty much the Turkey Day it was fun we had a good time overall! I can’t wait for Christmas though we are going to go North for New Years so that will be A TON of fun I just can’t wait we always have such a nice time when we go to visit so it will be fun. I didn’t do any Christmas shopping b/c I’m a HUGE slacker to be honest with you. So we will be doing that eventually we will probably do it like two weeks before Christmas. I can’t wait to shop for Lehna I know I will go crazy I mean she’s not even two but I’m going to go nuts I can feel it already. I have been thinking about Tait for Christmas and I really haven’t come up with anything. Tait is also asking me what I what for Christmas and I really haven’t come up with anything as far as what I want I just can’t think of anything. I just can’t think of anything that I am in great need of but I’m sure he’ll come up with some thing great.

Baby B is doing well I am feeling her squirm a lot more which is kind of a strange feeling again. She is more a mover then a kicker which is different then how Lehna was I enjoy feeling her though. She still doesn’t have a name, we are going to have another ultrasound December I just want a confirmation that she is a girl. I think she is but I just want a double check just to make sure. But if she is a girl then I will start buying her a few things I don’t want to go crazy only b/c I have all of Lehna’s clothes to wear but I want her to have a few things that are all hers. Today my boss gave me a work onezie and its super cute! It has the logo on it so it will look cute on her. Especially if she is born with hair to put little bows in her hair with or even on her bald head it will look cute. I just am so curious to see what she’s going to look like I mean I have a feeling she’s going to look a LOT like Lehna b/c Lehna’s features are so “wagnerish” so it will be sweet if she looks like her. Of course she probably will have very different personality traits which will be fun too b/c I know how Lehna is so it will be fun to see how she will react to different things. I wonder if she will be a T.V watcher or if she will not like TV just like Lehna doesn’t it would be very strange to see a totally opposite but I have a feeling with Lehna being the “leader” she will have more fun imitating her sister.

Lehna the other day when I picked her up at daycare the last day before Thanksgiving she was wearing this little Indian headband and it had feathers on it and she was chasing this little boy round around round this table screaming she was just like a little Indian! I can’t believe just how busy this kid is she is always doing something she never spends too much time standing in one place. We can usually get her to sit for a little bit only when she eats but she’s still moving around and never just sitting still doing nothing. I just have never seen a child that was so active before. I don’t know who she is more like as a baby. I don’t know if I was like that according to Tait’s mom Tait was more docile and wasn’t as busy so I don’t know if I was this busy or not. It’s crazy though!

Well that’s my update for today. Nothing too exciting and I didn’t take ONE picture this weekend… why… we’ll I left my camera at home for the weekend and with as much trouble we had just trying to get out of the house I thought that going back to get it just wasn’t worth it. So maybe at Christmas we will have some pictures… maybe… of course I will HAVE to take pictures to capture Lehna ripping open the packages!

Okay that’s it…

Short Week!

Well here is the week/weekend wrap up for this week!

This has been an exciting week for as short as it has been!

This weekend my mom came down from Wisconsin to visit Lehna & Zachary. She spent the day with us and night then went over on Sunday to visit Zach. I think they had a good time together. Lehna was really shy at first when mom first came around but she opened up. But the end of the night mom was wrestling on the floor with her and tickling her belly. We had gone to Pizza Hut on Saturday night and I don’t know if that “fruit drink” is all sugar or what but when we came back Lehna was like a wild child she was running around the table yelling and running into our legs and laughing then she would run into Mom’s it was fun but she was wound up.

Lehna got a new book it’s called ‘If you give a mouse a cookie’ my mom got it for her and as most of you know her favorite book is ‘I Love you through and through’ well Lehna now carries both books around to each of us every night for us to read them to her so I think that’s pretty cute. So Mom the book is a BIG hit she really enjoys it. It’s great it’s one of those books where there are only a few words on the pages so Lehna has the attention span to sit through each page. It’s a cute book if you ever read it I think you would enjoy it.

On Sunday we went to Indy to get our pictures taken. I’m a portrait member (so they wouldn’t have sitting fees) and Jackie and Marcus want to get their pictures taken AND we wanted the kids pictures taken together as well so we all went together to get them done.

We went first and Lehna was not too happy through the picture she was shy around the photographer and was leering of her and they only took 4 pictures total and we did manage to get 2 out of the 4 so that was good. They turned out cute but Lehna wasn’t into it too much I mean what you want for a 2 year old. Marcus, Jackie, and Zach’s pictures were cute too but they only took 4 of them as well and they did get 2 out of them as well which was nice. After the “family pictures” we got the kids together and Lehna was better but she still barely smiled for them. She did the same blank expression on her face. The goofy kid, so as soon as I get those pictures back I will be adding them to the website or at least Jackie will update them for me… won’t you Jackie (you love me right Jackie?).

This week has been pretty exciting even for a short week. Work was kind of slow this week when we hit the holidays I guess we slow down tediously so I don’t have very many job orders or anything to do besides sales calls and let me tell you THOSE SUCK! I’m just bad at them and I get really nervous I’m always afraid the people will start yelling at me or something… I know they won’t but I just get nervous about it. I always have it in my head that they are going to say no but they want us to contact people that we haven’t used us and that just makes me nervous b/c I’m afraid they’ll ask me questions they won’t know. I don’t know it’s kind of funny that I get worried about it but I do…

One really exciting this is our furnace broke on Tuesday night. We were sitting watching TV and we were talking about how drafty our house was like by the windows especially. Well Tait sealed the windows with plastic and it still was cold in the house and during that time I had turned the heat up to 70 degrees. Well after Tait got done sealing the windows he checked the temp again it the temp gage hadn’t moved… big Uht Oh… so we kept watching it until we went to bed and the fan was continuously running like the thing didn’t shut off. Well this has happened before with our furnace and it was a build up around the burner and they had to come out and vacuum it out last time. Well we had to turn the power off to it last night b/c the fan was constantly pushing out cold air and we went to bed with lots of blankets. I have put in a call into a service center and they are supposed to be there today to fix it. So hopefully they will be able to fix it today and not have to worry about it anymore. It’s stressing! I hate that.

So on happier news

So this week we are going to go to Williamsport for Thanksgiving Lunch then Up to Peru for Porgies! I’m VERY excited. It’s going to be a great weekend busy busy but it will be fun I think! We have talked about doing Black Friday but nothing is in stone yet. Tait and I have decided that there really isn’t anything that we need as far as the “special deals” so we may pass it up totally. I don’t know though it’s still very unclear. So we’ll have to see what happens. It’s just too early to make those plans so far this morning.

Baby news.

What’s going on with Baby B? Well I am feeling her kick more and more which is kind of fun. Tait said he did feel her kick the other night while his arm was draped across my tummy. That apparently made her very upset b/c she kicked his arm and he felt the little bump then. So that was fun. We still don’t really have a name we have tossed several around but nothing has really stuck yet. Tait keeps trying to teach Lehna new names that we come up with and I keep telling him to stop since it will confuse her so he said he would. So hopefully something will come in and I’ll really love it. Just nothing yet has really struck my fancy.

Lehna News

She’s still as rotten as ever. Her room is coming along it’s just slowly we still didn’t take the bed out. I’m thinking about getting a single bed for her room only b/c once Baby B is finally born we won’t have any place to put out visitors so we may put the single in Baby B’s room since the baby will be in our room. So I don’t know we will have to work on that problem. Lehna has also started to slowly work her bedtime up 9 p.m she is doing it herself. She is just SOOOOO wound up by the time bedtime rolls around we can usually tell she’s tired though b/c she gets to start throwing fits of little things that’s usually when I notice the time and I go.. .Lehna are you ready to go to bed and she usually goes “no” and I go that’s too bad and she usually runs away from me… it’s a game… Probably not a smart game to play with her but it’s part of the “routine” I KNOW again not a smart game to play but she’s so rotten sometimes but so cute at the same time. It’s a hard battle. She’s pretty cute though I love her. I can’t wait for this weekend she is going to have so much fun planning with all of the relatives. I can’t wait to EAT! LOL the joys of Thanksgiving when your pregnant! I just hope she’s good this weekend there’s nothing worse then a bratty 2 year old. I know I can’t think of anything worse maybe when it’s MY two year old that I want to kill!

Lehna’s hair is STILL in her eyes. I have tried once to get her hair cut but there was like a 45 min wait time so I decided against it. I am planning on getting it done it’s just hard to plan a time that she won’t be wild and trying to think of a place that will “entertain” her. Trying to get this child to sit still is quite a feat! I mean she is the BUSIEST little kid that I have ever seen. She won’t watch TV we have started to get her into SOMETHING and she will tolerate the Wiggles for about 5 mins but if they aren’t dancing then you mind as well forget it b/c that’s all her attention span will handle is just dancing. She really enjoys the dancing… though you can’t tell her to dance b/c if you do she just spins round and round until she falls down and I hate that. I am always fearful she’s going to hit a sharp corner or something like that. Not to be a worry wart but I do worry. Which is kind of interesting b/c the other day Tait took Lehna to the book store and there was book about all the wiggles and she picked it up and was VERY excited about it so Tait got it for her so she does recognize the Wiggles which is kind of fun! At least we can say she’s “sort of” into something… Lehna would much rather be putting on her shoes to go somewhere then watching the TV. Which is kind of nice b/c taking her to the grocery store or shopping is so easy with her. She enjoys watching the people which is nice. You just can’t look at something too long b/c she does start to pull clothes of the hangers and that’s kind of annoying. But she’s a good kid overall. I am very curious to see what type of personality her sister is going to have. I mean if she’s “anything” like Lehna Lord help us all! Lehna is just so busy and always wants to do something which is just so cute. Lehna’s “swing set” fund is growing which is nice. My office has office meetings weekly and there are questions at the end of our “training” and they pass out 1s & 5s and anyone I get I put in her swing set fund. I want to get her one of the nice wooden swing sets so I need like 300 or so to get her a nice one. We also put ALL of our loose change in there and I have two piggy banks going for it. I told Tait one day we are going to count it and it will be like 50,000 which would be nice! LOL

Okay that’s all I got for now I know its exciting isn’t it… I was just looking over what all I typed in and boy did I type a lot but boy it is just crap isn’t it LOL

Anyways

HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING!

Weekend Wrap Up!

Well I am entering another weekly wrap up on Monday after the weekend. Things have been kind of the same around our house nothing too exciting but that won’t stop me from entering an update… heck no!

This weekend Jackie, Christina, Zach, Lehna, & I all went to the Christmas Hobby show thing at the state fairgrounds on Saturday I have to tell you I was QUITE disappointed. This year we kind of went for a mission we wanted to get these fabulous candles they are seriously the best candles in the world. They smell the house up with just one candle and I have YET to find another candle with that type of power. We got them two years ago and were looking at every store that had candles but there were NONE in site. I was very sad. It was also soooooo crowed. For some reason the first two rows were right on top of each other so if anyone stopped to look at the stuff at the counters then NO ONE either side could get down so you kind of pushed your way down the aisle and didn’t really stop and look at anything. This year there was a BUNCH of booths that were selling like junk a bunch like for example the As Seen on TV items and people doing demos and stuff so that kind of sucked nothing really “Christmassy”. Even the normal “Christmas” items shops like painted wooden things that you can get personalized or just stores to buy Christmas stuff they just weren’t there this year so that was kind of disappointing. I was looking for a bingo shirt for my mother in law and they didn’t even have anything like that. All of the shirt and sweatshirt stores had the same things on them nothing really different. I did get a shirt for Lehna that says “That’s it! Take me to my NANA” which is really cute. It’s really big but its 100% cotton so I got it big so when it shrinks it will fit Lehna! I also got some homemade Toffee that was really good but that was it all I bought.

After the show we went to eat at Olive Garden which was fun. Lehna was pretty good at the restaurant she did decide that she wanted to have a screaming contest there so we quickly wrapped up our meals and left. After that we went to Keystone which there were a TON of people there too we parked at the bank parking lot and tracked our way over there and Christina got new shoes for Kris and Jackie got some outfits for Zach. Lehna didn’t get anything LOL, either did Tait. After that we headed back to Christina’s where Lehna and I left pretty quickly Lehna was exhausted and so was I. Walking around for 8 hours is pretty tough right now and I wore the wrong shoes so that didn’t make it fun either.

After that Lehna slept all the way home and even when we got home she took a LONG nap which was nice b/c I got to relax and have her sleep on me which is really nice. After that Tait and Trent got back from the game. They went to the Illinois vs. Purdue game and Purdue won so that was fun for them. They came home and we just kind of vegged for the rest of the evening.

On Sunday I started doing some laundry and after a whole day later I only have two loads left! I’m pretty excited. I was REALLY behind! And they were slowly taking over my room! So tomorrow we are supposed to have the guy come from Bee windows come out and give us an estimate on new windows. But I think we are going to reschedule it only b/c Tait won’t be home until later on Tuesday and I don’t want to try to contain Lehna and talk windows all at the same time. But that was my weekend… nothing too exciting but it was nice. Both Purdue and the Colts won this weekend so that made the weekend a lot nicer. So that’s all I got for now, thanks for reading about us this weekend!

It's a GIRL!

Well,we are having ANOTHER GIRL!
Yep, that’s right, another Lehna so you’d better just WATCH OUT!

We went to the clinic in Indy on Saturday and this was actually moved up from when we were originally going to go. We were planning on going November 18th and we decided to move the date up a couple of weeks b/c of a scheduling conflict on the 18th so LUCKLY me got to move up the date!

We were of course VERY excited to hear that it was going to be another girl! The lady was fairly certain that it was going to be a girl when we had the ultrasound. We had the 2D ultrasound for the sex and to just see the baby and then when they went in for the 3D 4D ultrasound the baby had managed to flip to her belly and hid her face. So we weren’t able to see the face but we could see her very sweet arms, legs, toes, back, and head but face is going to be a surprise. But as early as we had the ultrasound they said that 3D we probably wouldn’t be able to see much of the face anyway without it looking very alien like so it was okay that we didn’t get to see her face.

We did start tossing around names and we haven’t found anything yet but we are still looking for the perfect name. Tait said with Lehna’s name he knew RIGHT away that this was the name and I had to be convinced after a day and night then I knew it was that right name. Tait has suggested names like Madelyn or Tatium and I have suggested names like Claira or Olivia… but nothing definite yet so we will have to play around with them some more b/c we don’t know yet. As early as it is the chances of us finding something this soon is kind of unlikely so we will just have to call her Lehna’s sister until we can find something that we agree on. I think that we need to get a map book for the United States and name her something out of there b/c al the rest of the rivers in Russia are kind of ugly sounding. So wish us luck in finding the “perfect” name.

We also managed to work in Lehna’s new room this weekend and we got a new dresser from Uncle Stephen so we could add that to the furniture to her room. So thank you Uncle Stephen and also Marcus & Jackie for getting it from Northern Indiana. We are very grateful. So we took out the rest of the furniture except for the bed. I want to have the bed moved out before Thanksgiving. So that’s goal (time frame) so that will be fun. We are going to add some girly things to the wall and we also decided that we want to add the second baby girl to Lehna’s room when both girls are sleeping through the night so that will be fun. Then we can make the current nursery a playroom and get alllllll of the toys out of my living room, which will be FABOULOUS!

So I’m very excited about having another girl it will be fun and I love having Lehna it’s been really fun so far. I am kind of interested to see what type of personality this little girl is going to have I know Lehna can be VERY challenging at times so it will be interesting to see if she will be her clone or her opposite. Lord help us if we have an opposite!

So I know that we are pretty set on girl clothes I will need to go through them again and find all of the clothes that are either too stained and take out. I want to make sure this baby has her “own” clothes to so we will definitely have to get a “few” outfits that will be all hers. So it should be fun.

Well I will end my update for now hopefully we can find the “perfect name” so I’ll keep you updated on the progress of that.

Welcome to another page of our lives!

Here’s a weekly update! Don’t you love weekly updates. I know I do!

Here’s what is going on in our lives. Well this weekend we had lots of things going on we went to Jackie and Marcus’ for Kris’ Birthday Bash. Lehna was really good the whole time. She got whinny when it was time to go but it was night night time and she hadn’t eaten yet so that played a big part in that. So on the way home I stopped and got McDonalds and she ate really well she had a plain cheese burger and I was AMAZED on how much she ate and this kid wolfed down the pizza earlier in the day so it was AMAZING! So I watched Lehna and Zach while everyone else played games and that was interesting. It was a little taste of what it’s going to be like in a couple of months! Scary that’s all I have to say! I told Tait that we won’t be going anywhere w/out one another! I can’t imagine what it would be like trying to go shopping or any other activity for the most part by my self with TWO! NO WAY! So we had a good time eating birthday cake and wolfing down pizza. We watched the Purdue game and well that was a disappointment but that’s pretty typical lately.

On Sunday boy did I have a good time Tait and I worked in Lehna’s “new” room and we got through sooooo much crap! We still have some to go through but we did make some MAJOR headway! We were able to get all the way through the closet and put all of Lehna’s clothes in space totes… they weren’t like fab but they did do a good job. I was pleased with them. I don’t think Tait was impressed but I thought they were cool. I got almost 4 totes with 2 large trash bags into two large totes with a “small” tote and 3 big space bags Tait just said I just moved the stuff around but I think it looks better. If we have girl boy this kid isn’t going to need a THING! So the next step is to remove all the extra furniture and then get Lehna’s new furniture moved in. She needs a dresser so if anyone knows of where I can get my hands on one CHEAP let me know. I was very proud of us… and I threw away soooo much crap so I was proud over that too! So the next step will take a bit more planning b/c I will have to be able to get into the shed… to move the extra furniture. I just need to be able to put the stuff in there.

Another exciting thing is I got my garage door fixed. That was exciting after he fixed it he goes. “you are definitely going to want to get this door replaced” He said that the door is deemed “dangerous” he said that he had to fix some of the steel bars between the slats and stuff and he said that if the garage door comes off the pollies then we will want to take the opener off and use the door manually and I said “well it get us through the winter” and he said “probably” and I said that’s all I need it to do as long as I can get through the winter without having to scrap my car, that’s the goal you know for the winter! So maybe this spring we can invest in a new door for the garage. It’s one of those things that we will have to wait and see what happens.

Another project… I have decided that I can fix my couch cushions. I have decided that I can take the fabric from dad’s old chair and replace the fabric that’s on the couch. It won’t look 100 pretty but at least we won’t see the horrible cushions which we can see now. It will take me some time to do this but since dads chair it to the point of not being able to fix it I can use the fabric for the other seating in my house. So that’s my next goal and since I want to move that chair out of Baby Bs room this is the perfect excuse to tear it up and use the pieces… now if I can just sew in a straight square we’ll be all set. Anyone that knows my sewing abilities it’s kind of scary… I make blankets for people but they are never the right “size” and they hardly ever turn out with 90 degree angels so it will be a challenge but I think I’m up to it!

Here's the update for the Week!

I just wanted everyone to know that I did go to Baby B’s appointment this week and everything is hunky dory! Baby was moving around on the doctor soooo he found the heartbeat and then the baby moved so I just got to hear it for a second. But it was enough that the doctor said that the baby was fine… I asked him if he thought it sounded like a boy heartbeat or girl and he said he wouldn’t touch that with a 10 foot pool. I have decided that the Dr’s annoying “you see what I’m saying” is a speech impediment… He was talking to me about skiing and he kept saying “you see what I’m saying” like literally after every sentence and I was just thinking that surly this doctor doesn’t think I’m this retarded that he thinks that I don’t know what skiing is… LOL Soooooo I have decided that it is infact a flaw in his speech not that he thinks I’m retarded… at least that’s what I’m saying! And another tid bit about Baby B is Tait and I have decided to do an ultrasound of Baby B before the ultrasound the doctor gives me at 32 weeks! We have decided we are going to go November 18th to a clinic in Indy and have them do a 3D ultrasound… I can’t take waiting until week 32 can’t do it can’t do it! Last time I thought I didn’t have a choice but Jackie was good enough to supply me with information that lead me to a clinic in Indy… so I’ll be attending that for the ultrasound! I’m very excited!

Another fun this is this weekend Tait, Lehna, and I are going to go to the Purdue football game! Yep that’s right! My wonderful boss gave me his tickets for the game this weekend so we are going to use those so we only have to get a ticket for Lehna. This will be Lehna’s first football game for college she did fine at the high school game she liked to climb on the seats and stuff so we’ll have fun there… we’ll have to go to the snack stand and stuff to kind of stretch her legs and stuff but it will be fun I think. We are also going to tailgate so that will be fun too! I haven’t tailgating in so long! I think that we are going to do simple stuff I’m just interested in getting smore stuff b/c that’s what I REALLY want right now! So we will have to get that stuff.

Tait has his fall office party this Friday. I am a little nervous b/c I have not meet this people before besides a couple of them when I worked at Ladoga and it wasn’t under a good circumstance soooooooo we’ll see. Tait said there will be a hayride and the whole thing soooooo we’ll have to see how it goes. I think Lehna will like the hayride… Tait claims he’s never been on a hayride… I believe that as much as I do him growing up in South Carolina with his southern accent… he’s cute isn’t he folks! Got to love him. So it should be fun I think. Hopefully we are talking campfire food I love it! I could grow fat on hotdogs and smores thank goodness that these are fall foods!

Work this week… Well work has been up and down this week I have had some stressful things and then some things I can’t control to things that I’m like darn it if I would have done this part differently. I know it’s a learning process and I want to get better at it and I know the longer I do it the better I will get at it I just get frustrated at things… I know it’s a REAL shocker to those that don’t know me! My bosses are out of the office next week they are going on a trip out of the county so it should be interesting next week. We get to wear jeans any day next week soooo I’m VERY VERY excited about that! Jeans seem to make me feel better. I like dressing up to work on occasion so jeans is a nice change.

For those of you watching Dancing with the Stars I am disappointed they didn’t kick Jerry off this week! I frankly think it’s his time and don’t like the fact he will be one there next week! He’s just not that good.. I know he’s cute and stuff and it’s kind of go that gimmicky thing going for it… but at the same time… I don’t know it’s just kind of boring. I also love the dancing part hate the results show why someone decided that it needed to be an hour long is BEYOND me…way too long if you ask me. Unfortunately they didn’t ask me sooooo I’m stuck with the producer’s decision.

Well that’s about my life right now and all I have for now… I will update you to let you know how the weekend went.

Weekly Update!

I figured I’d better update for this week so here it is and all its glory!

This weekend Tait and I traveled north to visit Helen & Tim in Peru. Tim was home from North Dakota this weekend so we wanted Lehna to be able to see her. We went up on Friday night and Lehna was excited as we pulled up it was very sweet she was kicking her feet and everything it was so cute. So after we got her out of the car we ate dinner Helen made egg rolls and they were fabulous!!! Tait, Trent, & Tim went to the Northwestern vs. Purdue game and they won for those of you that don’t know. But the upset of the weekend was Indiana beating Iowa which is just all kinds of wrong. When the boys went off to watch the game Stephanie got to do some MUCH needed shopping for the Bell Bell and let me tell you I may have gone a little nuts I mean I don’t know Lehna actually needed snow pants but they were only 10 bucks sooooooo I figured why not and I got her another winter coat since I think she outgrew her last one. So we will have to take her outside LOTS AND LOTS or visit Grandma Jeanette LOTS and lots since its northern and it’s colder there! But they had sooooo many sales everything I got her was on sale so that’s my positive but I did spend wayyyyyy tooooo much on a child that will probably only be in these clothes for about 2 months! But I Tait said that if we have a girl then its well worth it and I agree! Tanna and I went together as she searched for a maternity shirt. It’s funny I even got some stuff for Tait but I didn’t by ONE thing for myself… I guess I figured that in a couple of weeks I’ll have to get some more shirts and clothes anyways for me and the expanding body so I figured that I would just wait why spend the money if you can’t have instant gratification I say!

On Sunday we came back home really early which was really nice b/c it gave me a chance to get all of the laundry done and a chance to do the dishes which I left two sinks full before we left so I thought it was all good. Lehna was upset when Helen and Tanna left to go to Williamsport so we left shortly after they did. So after we got all the things done cleaning up after the dogs and that kind of stuff I went through Lehna’s closet. I pulled out three trash bags full of clothes for this child! So I replaced all of her clothes with the new ones and weeded out all the clothes that didn’t fit her I had like 12 month stuff in her closet that just needed to be put away, I also pulled all of her summer clothes out it was kind of fun and sad at that same time. I still don’t have my space totes I know I know I need to get to post office to get them and I know that too but I’m just not available when the freaking office is open. I wish they were b/c I have tons of crap to put in them! I was looking at the calendar today thinking man that room has a ton of stuff that needs to be changed and well… I haven’t done anything to it yet… such a slacker aren’t I!

Tomorrow I have an appointment with Baby B well of course with Baby B I mean he isn’t coming out tomorrow… So hopefully everything will be fine with that… Just think 5 more weeks and we will do an ultrasound! Can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait! Not that I’m excited or anything! Tanna offered Sam’s sister at the hospital but I would have to come during the week and that doesn’t really work with my schedule. So we will just have to pay since the doctor is a big meany! Well I know this is a short entry but that’s life right now kind of boring and nothing really exciting happened this weekend and I don’t have big plans this week just normal work stuff.

The Pumpkin Patch

What lucky readers you all are you get TWO repeat TWO updates in ONE weekend! Wow you are sooooo special! We were lucky enough to be able to take pictures and get them off the camera ALLLLLL in the same day. Boy oh Boy we maybe adding pictures more often… well back to the update. Again the pictures may not go with the text but HEY THERE’S PICTURES JUST ENJOY THEM OKAY! J/K
The Pumpkin Patch
As promised we did go to the pumpkin patch today so Lehna could pick out her pumpkin. We arrived before they opened the first attempt so we had to try again once the opened but we were NOT disappointed again this year. The owner who was incredibly nice greeted us who explained how the pricing worked on the pumpkins, where the “nature trail” was located, and how to enter the corn maze. We didn’t go on the nature trail but we did go through the corn maze.
Lehna Looking at the Hay
It wasn’t much of a maze but it was fun. Lehna walked a little through it but mostly wanted to be picked up and carried through it, it must be intimidating for her. I was leading the way and I got to be the “spider web catcher” I dubbed myself this name b/c every 2 feet I walked into a NEW spider web. They were usually just a one strander but it still was annoying. We walked to the “end” of the maze and was greeted but a very large Indian tee pee I don’t know why they had a tee pee but they did and we walked inside and walked outside. Lehna was VERY brave she walked straight up to and went inside without any second thoughts. So we followed her and then we walked out of the maze. It wasn’t really much of a maze I mean there were different paths cut but I think they all ended in the same place.
The Steps she didn't want to get away from
After that we went to the cabin. They recently built this cabin about two years ago when we first started going to the pumpkin patch the cabin didn’t exist but they felt they needed it and so they built it. It’s kind of neat it’s a nice cabin. I don’t know what they do with it during the rest of the year but for the fall it’s a nice place to display gourds and pumpkins.
Pretty Flowers
Lehna liked to look at the flowers and play with the hay. There were these kids that were playing in the cabin and Lehna kept trying to go over to them and play. Which was cute but we wanted to pick out a pumpkin and she just wasn’t into it.
Daddy & Lehna
We walked around the different rows of the pumpkins and Lehna just kind of would touch them and then move on I don’t know if she was trying them out or what but we did decide on a nice size on of her and we got on for herself. We are going to have her write all over it with a magic marker for her decorating this year. We didn’t get this accomplished today but we probably will by next weekend, or should I say but Halloween and if not… well oh well.
"This feels Smooth"
I did take a number of pictures of her walking around looking at the different things but they are mostly of the back of her head b/c she refused to look my direction. But these are the shots I was able to capture that I thought were the cutest. Lehna was a VERY tired girl today she went to sleep at 7 right after she had half a hot dog. I guess the zoo and the pumpkin patch wore her out. So hopefully she’ll sleep well tonight. Well that’s all I got I hop you enjoyed our entry.

October is Here

Well I am under strict instructions that I am to keep this updated once a week. I will do my best Mom, but I do slack on occasion. So far this weekend has been busy and it’s only Saturday. Today Jackie and I decided to take Baby Zach & Lehna to the Zoo. It was a good time. I have some pictures that I was able to finally GET OFF my camera so this makes me excited for all of those to see Lehna pictures. I’m going to place them sporadically through this update so they may not make sense with the text but bear with me anyway!

Pretty Smile

The zoo was great fun. I really wanted to see how Lehna would react to the different animals and things. And I must say I was a little disappointed. I thought she would react more to the different animals and she really didn’t. Would look at the bears and afterwards would repeat the word bear over and over and that was about the most reaction we got. I think she had more fun just pushing the stroller around when we took breaks to sit down.
A Bear Says "Roaaaaaaar" Lehna says that! (just the Roaaaaaar part)

The zoo wasn’t very busy which was nice but it was a nice 58-65 degrees outside and the sun was shinning bright so it was nice jacket weather. I LOVE jacket weather it is my absolute favorite type of weather. So it was enjoyable to get the kids out to enjoy the day. I don’t think Zach has as much fun as Lehna did. He was upset a lot and Jackie and I took turns trying to soothe him. I think he just wanted to watch the football games on TV today instead of visit the zoo, but we’ll have to try again in a few more months.

Mama and the Kids!

Jackie and I have decided that on the next “crappy” weekends for bad weather we are going to take the kids to the Children’s museum. They have this water part there for an exhibit were kids build boats and test them out, but you can also build dams in the water and reroute the water and stuff. This is Tait’s FAVORITE place to visit. Usually it takes us MUCH longer to get him away from this exhibit then it does anyone else. So I can only imagine what Lehna will be like since she LOVES playing in the water for bathes and even in the dog’s dish. Jackie said they have a glass exhibit right now that is supposed to be really cool so we will go to that before it changes.

"I'm Too Cute NOT to be Rotten!"

Tait and I were going to take Lehna to Feast of the Hunter’s Moon in Lafayette but we both kind of decided that we didn’t know just what Lehna would enjoy there since she’s still just a little young. We think by next year she will REALLY enjoy the festival and we’ll take her there instead. So I think tomorrow the plan is to venture to the Pumpkin Patch which is actually just down the road from us. They always have LOTS of pumpkins to choose from so we wanted to let Lehna pick her own pumpkin this year. So if the weather stays as nice as it’s supposed to tomorrow that’s what we will be doing, oh and my mount of laundry that’s covering my carpet in the bedroom.
"This is MY Baby Zach!" Lehna Says.

I didn’t get to check the mail today so I don’t know if my new space totes came in yet, which I’m kind of bumped about. I want to start working on Lehna’s “new” room but I need to get some place to put all of her clothes that don’t fit anymore so I was watching TV one day and they had the new Space Totes come on for a commercial. They are very similar to the Space bags but these fold down into an actually square once you take the air out of them and I thought they would be perfect for Lehna’s room so I can compile her stuff. So this will be another weekend I don’t work on her room if I’m not careful we will be doing her room the night before Baby B gets here!
Just a pretty smile to make the day go by easier

Well Tait is transferring to a new county starting on Tuesday. This county is closer to home so he is excited. I’m also excited b/c that means about 40 minutes of sleeping EXTRA a day since he will be able to take Lehna to daycare with PLENTY of time every day. But unfortunately it won’t mean much for the next two weeks B/C next week is my early week at work AND the week after that Tait has training for four days so he will not be able to take Lehna to daycare everyday which stinks. He is excited about working so close to home and I’m glad he’s glad. His old county had a going away party for him on Friday and there were MANY in attendance and I think that really made Tait feel good. Lehna and I were at another event helping Tanna with her school project so we couldn’t go but Tait said it was a good time.

Lehna Says "By for Now!"

I think I will close my update for today I may update tomorrow if we do end up going to the pumpkin patch and I take pictures AND am able to load them on the computer… if I CAN’T accomplish all three of those things then… just know we had a good time. LOL okay that’s all I got. Thanks for reading about us.

Update!

Welcome to the world of us once again. Boy has it been a busy two weeks. Last weekend we had the Baptism of baby Zach in Lafayette which was quite a new experience so I’m now a sponsor which in another religion this would be the same as a godparent. So this is my first god parent gig which is kind of cool. Never been one of them before. After the baptism we all went out to dinner which was fun. Lehna was pretty good she did start throwing her food on the floor towards the end but for the most part she was a good baby. I like it when she’s a good baby. She also sat in a booster seat which worked really well. I tried to talk Tait into taking it but he said that it might look a little obvious that we are taking it which of course could land us in jail and that wouldn’t be very fun AT ALL. So we didn’t take it… but getting Lehna in her high chair to eat is starting to become a battle she really doesn’t like sitting in it we kind of have to wrestle her and then after you get the tray down she relaxes and eats. I think its b/c at daycare she eats at the big kids table and we have allowed her to sit at the table before but she makes a HUGE mess b/c she’s not close enough to the table and it gets EVERYWHERE which is horrible.

Lehna has also master the word no. Let me tell you this little girl she’s cute but mercy me. The other day I told her that we needed to change her pants b/c she stunk and I go Lehna go to your room to change your pants “no” Lehna come on let’s go play in your room “no” I then walked over to her as she made a mad dash away from me saying ‘no, no, no’ so I caught her and picked her up and she pushed and shoved saying ‘no’ and took her and changed her diaper. This has just been one of the times the little angel has told me no the rotten kid.

Baby B update.
Well Tait and I are calling the second baby Baby B since we don’t know what it is or anything like that so that’s what we will call him/her until we know. I had to go to the doctor this week for an unexpected doctor visit I’m having the same problems I had with Lehna the spotting comes and goes, I got a little scared Sunday night b/c it was pretty bad but… after a trip to the doctor and an ultrasound baby is totally healthy and baby’s heart is nice and strong, so who knows. So we got to see baby moving around which was cool. Got me more excited I think. I like being able to see the baby it’s just annoying that I have this issue every time so far. So we of course don’t know what it is we won’t know that for forever… darn it. So we have been playing around with some baby names I’m sure that we will come up with some eventually. Baby is easy to name once we know. But we are having fun suggesting names to one another. Some of Tait’s are getting veto’d right away and he of course vetos mine too so we are fair. So so far so good I guess. I’m still convienced I’m having a boy. So we’ll see. Of course I could be TOTALLY wrong but we’ll see. I think Lehna needs a girl since she is thrown into all these BOYS all around her the poor kid.

Tanna is going to find out what she’s having next week. She goes for her ultrasound then so I’ll be jealous of her until I can find out… just kidding Tanna. She thinks she’s having a girl but I guess the nurse kept saying the baby was a boy for her last appointment when they were looking for the heart beat. The old wives tale is the slower the heartbeat the better chance it’s a boy and the fast the heartbeat it’s a girl. Baby B’s heart beat was pretty fast so there maybe some hope yet. Boy a girl would be convient.

Jackie asked me yesterday when I was going to start working on Lehna’s room and moving her to the bigger room. That is on my list of things to do I need to get some more storage options and go through a couple of closets so I can move the stuff that’s in the guest bedroom to other closets so I can move her stuff into her “new” room. I don’t know if we are going to do much to the room. We painted the room bright yellow and white so it is very good for a girls room we just may want to stencil on the wall or something just to add a little something, either that or get really cute pictures for the wall. Right now I have my photography on the wall and they can go back into storage since none of them are framed right now. Tait just asked me about this as well and I told him I want the room done by December so I can move her over at that time. So that will give me a deadline that she has to have that done.

Work is going pretty well I really enjoy what I do it does get a little repetitive on a weekly bases but it’s FUN! I really enjoy HR it’s really fun and I like to help people find jobs. At least I know to expect on a daily basis so that makes it fun at the same time.

Another Update

Hey world. Here's another Update! Exciting hua! Well I just wanted to let everyone know what's going on in the Wagner World. Tait is feeling much better. He is still kind of ouchy but better. He is going to go back to work on Monday and he says he's ready to go back to work so you can tell that being home must be driving him crazy. He did manage to order the new ESPN packet for the Fall so now we will get ALL the college football games... YEAH FOR ME! Just kidding honey you can watch them! This weekend we have another packed weekend. We have Purdue football tomorrow afternoon/morning so that will be fun tailgating and getting into the fun fall seasono again! I love to tailgate. I am afraid that the season tickets which is what we normally get we didn't this year which will be sad but we are okay. Let me see what else. OH on Sunday Ms. Jackie and baby Zachy pooh are going to take Lehna Belle to get their pictures taken... I say utter caious... but we'll see. So hopefully that will be fun. Then after that we are going to do some SHOPPING so you can't go wrong there right?

Well let me see what else. Oh I need to clean my house Tait said he was going to clean today so the jury is still out on that. I can't wait to go tailgating tomorrow it's going to be so fun.

well I think this is a short update but that's all I got.

Talk to you later.

Update

Hey everyone! How the heck is everyone...

well another update...

On Thursday Tait and I went to a fund raiser to my work and throughout the evening Tait kept complaining of a side ache. So he decided that he was going to send Tanna to come play bingo for the fund raiser so we could continue to have fun. Well so that's what we did. Tait switched Tanna out and Tanna and I played Bingo... we got close on a couple of the pull tabs but nothing exciting. Well we were getting ready to start the final game when I looked down at my cell phone and I noticed that I had a text message. Well Tait had texted me saying he was going to the hospital. Well so Tanna called them to find out what was going on. We decided to ditch bingo... We told my boss what was going on and we got out of there. We went to hospital and Tait was in his groovy gown waiting to see the doctor. Well after hours of waiting the doctor did finally show up and such.

They gave him some stuff to drink that would be able to see in his tummy through at CAT scan and let me tell you that was rough... his tummy didn't like it much. So after he got done drinking that stuff they came in and got him for the scan and they wheeled him away. He came back and again after HOURS of waiting for some results they told him that they were going to admit him. They told him that they needed to see the doctor before they could tell us anything and the nurse said it was for observation. Which we had already been there for about 8 hours of observation. Well the doctor FINALLY came in and told us that his appendix had to come out it was infected. SOOOOOOOOO I made a quick dash home to get clothes for Lehna, Tait, myself and to get prepared to a couple of days away from home. Helen and Tim took Lehna for the weekend which was nice and I let the puppies out at home. I came back to the hospital and I was once again waiting to hear from the surgeon. Well I guess the nurse told Tait that the surgery was scheduled for later on that afternoon. So I slept on the couch while Tait got some much needed rest. Well after a couple of hours they finally told us that it would be the afternoon and by that time I had had a chance to call all of our bosses to let them know what was going on. Most of them were concerned for Tait and making sure he was doing okay. Well finally they came and got him and took him to surgery at about 1:30 and Tait's grandparents took Trent and I down to eat which was really nice. After the surgery we went back upstairs to a VERY sleepy Tait and he was pretty out of it. Helen and Tim brought Lehna in a couple of times to see her daddy but they were on their wayto Peru for the weekend. So after that I told Tait that I had to go home and get some sleep so I did. The next morning I was up at there early and seeing how Tait was feeling. He was still pretty sleepy but not too bad. So we got to go home that day which was REALLY nice. They sent us home by 2:30 and Tait was home by 3 p.m.

Tait was pretty ouchy the whole weekend he couldn't really move or bend so I took care of him. Making his lunch and dinner and stuff normal stuff. He's feeling better today but he's still icky feeling. He has a doctor's appointment tomorrow so hopefully they will release him back to work but it may not we'll see. He said he felt warm and he did have a temp of 99.7 today so I told him to watch it... b/c the pain meds he's on he can't have any tylenol or anything like that. So we'll see what happens. It goes from one extereme to another around her doesn't it...

Update!

Okay I know I'm a HUGE slacker. Things have been crazy around here; busy, busy.

We'll let's start with some exciting news. First thing is Tait and I got an interesting surprise for our wedding anniversary we got a positive pregnancy test. YEP, that's right! This was a surprise, wasn't really expecting it but it is what it is. We are excited. I'm excited but nervous about the whole thing again. I really enjoy Lehna and I know that Lehna will be great with another child, I just don't know how she will do with a permanent child... so we'll see. I keep hearing she'll adjust she'll adjust.... I think it's just me adjusting that's going to be hard.

Tanna (Tait's Sister) also found out she's going to have a baby! So we are going to have quite the expanding of family this year. She's due in February and I'm due in April (the beginning just like Lehna) So we are going to be blooming again.

Also some exciting news. I started a new position. I am working for a staffing company in Lafayette. I was having some major commitment issues with Kroger they wanted me to sell my first born to them and I wasn't up for it. I was working 50-60 hours a week and I just wasn't home. So luckily this job kind of fell into my lap so I jumped on it. It's less money but the hours are M-F so it was great! I am actually on a billboard in Lafayette so that's kind of exciting. I have been here for about 6 weeks so I know it's been a while since I updated my blog.

I know I'm a total slacker! I apologize to all my loyal readers. I have more to say but I'm running short of time... But I will update again VERY VERY soon. Hopefully tomorrow. I have pictures and everything to post. Lehna is soooo big compared to the pictures on the web! So I'll update... she's also learning to talk (very slowly) she says Hi now and it's the most adorable thing ever... b/c it's real strung out and loud it's VERY cute. Okay that's all I got I have to go.

Here's an Update

Hey everyone just wanted to update... nothing really exciting going on in my world just same old same old.

I'm working more then I ever have in my life, this new assignment has been CRAZY! It's a good store with a good unit manager it's just a lot of work I swear I have lost 10 lbs in one week! But it's been insane. I having something else stewing right now that I don't want to get into much detail but let's just say I'll update soon!

Tait is doing fine we are talking about moving back to Lafayette which is kind of exciting. We'll see what happens.

Lehna is getting more teeth in boy I wish this stage was over with she becomes a bear every night... I think it's when it hurts her the most.

Something interesting that happened tonight was Tait and I were home talking about dinner when all of a sudden our power flashed a couple of times and then went out. Well we then scratched cooking at home and went to dinner well we came home and to our dismay our power wasn't turned on yet. So we kind of waited a little longer and then we started calling... apparently no one knew our power was out it only affected like 6 houses and we were the only ones home. Soooooo they didn't know until we called them. So about an hour later we had power back thank goodness b/c it was getting HOT HOT HOT inside!

Okay this is brief but I PROMISE I'll have more later.

talk to you later

Greetings

Hello Everyone! After a brief period of not updating I have finally got around to updating my blog. Exciting hua. Well things have been busy I just finished my final week of training and I have been assigned to a Lafayette Store. I'm kind of excited about this b/c I hear once you get to these stores they maining just rotate you around in these stores, which is good. So I'm offical now YEAH! And I talked to my new boss and he said that he will be on vacation next week sooooo that means I'll have to shadow the other managers in order to see what to do. I'm not to worried about it to be quite frank with you. Everything else has been crazy.

Lehna has been sick this past week she had a temp of 103.8 and was buring up after she was taken to the doctor she said she had a sinus infection AGAIN. So she's on medication to curb that. She's the big bully in her daycare class she's the oldest one right now they had to move the babies from the nursery up and so that made her class shift, which I'm glad to get rid of the older kids but now worry she is going ot be a big bully to the rest of her class. This of course could me just being a worry wart. She hasn't been bitten nor has she bitten anyone lately so that's a good thing.

Everyday it seems like Lehna is learning something new today I SWORE she said Krogers Tait thinks I'm nuts but of course we couldn't get her to say it again. THE LITTLE RAT! She is also learning new things to say like Belly Button, Dog, Cat, Thank you, No, Yes, Drink, you know all very rough and ragged when she says things but you do have some idea of what she's saying. She's funny though she brings LOTS of entertainment to our lives. She also hates it when the room is all picked up so usually right after we pick up she takes a least 30 mins to get it back to a wreck which doesn't really bother me anymore we just kind of ignore it and step over it. Of course she has learned to put some stuff away if you play like it's a game but she really doesn't understand what the heck we are doing so it's kind a hopeless effort.

This past week we of course celebrated the Fourth of July and at the last mintue we decided to have Tim and Helen come over and so we spent a few hours picking up and shopping to get ready for the holiday gathering. It was good time and I think it was successful we had hot dogs and hamburgers knowing tooooooo exciting but it was fun.

I have to tell you I have the poker bug. Anytime I get a chance I try to play with Tait, now I haven't played on ESPN yet but both Tait and Trent keep asking me if I'd played on there or not and I keep telling them no, b/c I don't want to embarrass them. Of course everytime I play with Tait I ALWAYS win which is fun! I don't know if he just gives up and wants to get the game over quicker or if I'm just better at it... I'm assuming that I'm just good. LOL Of course I'm just kidding. Tait keeps talking about having a Poker night.... I think he's dreaming but whatever I'm up for it if HE wants to plan it.

Well it's offical Tait seriously hates his job. Yikes it's scary sometimes I think he's going ot call me up and tell me he's walking out which I keep telling him that he CANNOT do that but he's looking. It's just stressful and it's really wearing on him, he thought there might be a chance to transfer to another division my it looks like it's not going to happen they decided to give the position to someone else without even asking him... isn't that nice so much for seniority but I'm trying to stay positive b/c he really doesn't need anymore negativity he's got enough for BOTH of us. He even fantasied about going back to Ladoga but after some converstations he decided not to do that... thank the good lord b/c I seriously don't think that I could have witnessed that train wreck.

We are still waiting for Cosmo to make his appearance. I know it's like a little over two months away but I KNOW he's going to come early. Of course I also thought he was going to be a girl so what do I know. I bet Jackie wants me to start calling the stork... I just wish I could see the stork's dayplanner so I can plan accordingly when Cosmo does decide to make his appearance. So we'll see what happens.

I got a evil trick played on me at work that I want to share with you. I was waiting to be told where I was going to be assigned like to which store and finally the zone manager calls and tells me that he has decided where he's going to put me... and I say where well he tells me a horrible store in Indy I mean it's A SCARY store and I was kind of pissed... well I told him that I really didn't want to be placed in Indy b/c it's a pain to drive too well he then puts me in Lafayette.... well a few hours later I get this phone call from the Zone cordinator telling me that Lafayette just didn't work out and they were going to have to put me in the scary store and let me tell you was I PISSED I was ready to call Tait and tell him that this job isn't worth this shit... well I was angry and the zone cordinator told me not to worry and he'd call me back so basically I was like well where does that mean I'm supposed to go to... Wellllll a few minutes later Yvonne came down the aisle with this guy and goes... Stephanie let me introduce you to the zone cordinator and he said his name... and I was just thinking, this isn't the zone cordinator and the guys going.. "I felt soooo bad" and kept going on and on and I still didn't get it. Well then I finally got that it was HIM calling me telling me that I was being transfered and that that really WASN'T happening... So I went from pissed to relieved in like 30 seconds. So it was then time to get even... so I turned her desk around upstairs, taped all of her doors shut, I moved her cart into different aisles every time she left it, AND I taped a BIG sign to her car that said "HONK TWICE IT'S MY 50TH BIRTHDAY!" So we'll see if she noticed. So as you can tell Friday was a VERY productive day for me!

Well this weekend has been CRAZY I photographed a wedding today and tomorrow we are having a family reunion in Williamsport it should be exciting. At least I had ONE more weekend off which was nice. And so far I have only to work on Saturday for next week and it's a DAY shift so that makes me VERY VERY VERY VERY happy! Well that's all I got going on right now I know that it is kind of sucky espically since I haven't written in A LONG LONG LONG LONG time but you know what can I say my life is BORING.

So I'm averaging about a post a month... YIKES!

So I maybe lacking a little in the posting world but I can't help it I'M BUSY! So what's new around here. Welllllllll....

Lehna has decided that hitting is REALLY fun and FUNNY when mom tells me to stop.
She has also decided that climbing on the couch is the BEST thing in the world.
She's also addicted to the kitchen for some reason... it's her favorite room, I'm not quite sure why since I'M never in there. HUMMMM maybe there's something to that. She also finds that pulling every Kleenex out of the box is a GREAT GAME! Lehna also enjoys biting and eating dog food. YUCK! She has also decided that when we are in the car on the way home from daycare it IS her snack time so you'd better come prepared or you'll hear about it the whole trip home. She's also attached to my hip it's hard from me to even leave the room for 15 seconds before she's whining to go with me.

So needless to say I have a typical toddler...

AS for recent photos... hummmm I have a few problems with that my computer refuses to talk to my digital camera and I'm not currently using film cameras.... soooo now film to develop... so maybe one day you'll get to see pictures. Don't hold your breath of course. I wouldn't.

Lehna is really doing great by the way sure she has her moments when I want to sell her to a circus but for the most part she's fine. It's funny b/c the other day at daycare a simple comment changed the rest of the day for me.

I was talking with Penny at daycare about Lehna hitting other kids. This week Lehna hit another student REPEATILY I might add and the kid turned around and bite Lehna. So I was talking to Penny about Lehna HITTING and how that I wanted her put in time out to help curb her hitting and to help her avoid getting bite again. Welllllll it just so happened that Debbie the director of the daycare asked Penny if she had her me mention anything about the bite or if I had complained or anything of that nature... WEll Penny mentioned that I was concerned about her hitting since it got her bite this week... well Lana Lehna's teacher was listening in on the conversation and Debbie told Lana to call me to talk to me about the biting incident since I was upset about Lehna's bite. Soooooo Lana called me and asked if I was okay since she had heard that I was crying and was upset this morning about Lehna getting bite at daycare... I was like... "What?" So everything was straightened out but it was funny how a simple comment was changed into me crying and was upset...

Everything else life wise is pretty good. I'm still in training sooooo I still don't really "know" what my job is yet... I won't hit that for another 2-3 weeks. I have meat training next week... YEAH! Actually not so much, deli and bakery was actually fun bakery was a LOT of fun deli not so much I think it was the hair nets... But so far so good. Just learning little bits and pieces everyday...

Well that's all I got for now...

Finally an UPDATE!

Well It has been quite awhile since I have updated but it's been crazy busy around here. So the little baby is now offically a toddler. I can't believe it it seems like on yesterday we were trying to have the baby and now she's a talking, walking, pooping machine. She's so fun she loves to play with the puppies and her baby dolls but it's so hard to believe she's ONE! On Lehna's birthday we really didn't do anything that exciting we did wake her up with a big birthday smile but we had a party planned for the weekend so we were saving it up. Well as you can see from the pictures Lehna had a GREAT TIME! She was hamming it up right and left. She wasn't quite sure to see so many smiles and laughing adults but Lehna brought her A game and she was quite the super princess all day. She got a little fussy at the present opening time but that was only b/c she didn't understand what the heck we were doing she wanted to run around instead.

She also enjoyed her first birthday cupcake and we have it recorded so we will have to share it with you... oh Aunt Jackie? It's really sweet and of course messier then allllll get out. That's one thing with this table food self feeding stuff boy it is MESSY!

Lehna had lots of relatives that came to the celebration party I think there was 20 people so it was QUITE a lot of people but it was WONDERFUL... Tait kept saying... Our house is the perfect size for all of these people... and I kept saying... This is like the Grandparents Wagners at Thanksgiving... You know the house so small that you have to rotate your seating arrangments b/c there are too many people and not enough seating. It was fun though we didn't play any games or anything just had food and Lehna provided the entertainment. She does love being the center of attention... I wonder who she got that trait from? Hua quite the mystery.

Lehna is really intelligent... and I'm not just saying that cause she's my kid... other's have actaully told me... you know trained professionals so I'm excited about that. They say that her role playing with phone and playing with her baby doll are very advanced. So whatever that means in the world of little kids. I keep telling her to go to med school when she gets bigger... Tait just says... can we just get her to kindergarden honey? Sure sure that's in the process I say. It's pretty fun to be parent of a toddler I have to say. There are moments when I want to pull every last hair out but it's worth it when she reaches for me when she bumps her chin or just needs a kiss or a hug. Lehna is starting the "fit" throwing stage and for any of you that knew me when I was her age... YIKES! I hope this doesn't mean history will repeat itself b/c that's SCARY! She's really good most of the time but she does have a short frustration level which looking back and my fits... that was MY problem. Why couldn't she have gotten Tait's Patience and furstation level table...that would have been WONDERFUL but you know dad had to get even since he was usually the one embarrassed by me... Opps sorry dad!

Lehna got her 1 year pictures taken two weeks ago and well I actaully got to take them which was kind of cool but I was hoping to actaully get "good" pictures so I was kind of sad I had to take them myself. Of course Lehna was NOT in the best of moods she had come off of a week of two ear infections and her fever had broken that morning so she was not in the "smile" mood. Which was sooooo very sad but I Think we got some cute ones. They come in this week sometime... I'll probably get them on Friday. So hopefully that will be something to look for of course getting them on the web is another challenge.

I have been at Kroger for a month and it's sad to say that I have only put one little blerb in my blog about it but this is the reason why I haven't had time to update actaully. Retail hours were do blow but the money is actaully pretty good nothing to sneeze at. Kroger has revamped their training program so it's now this 18 weeks period of 9 weeks in store 9 weeks classroom training and you learn each phase. Right now we are in the Produce phase and it lasts one week classroom one week in store so a total of 2 weeks. I recently finished my grocery training of 3 weeks and that was a LONG 3 weeks let me tell you! So hopefully this next session will go by quick! AT least that's the hope! Retail isn't a hard business and I do really like the work when I'm busy and have stuff to do but the hours are the worst part the training store I'm in the comanagers (which is what I'm training to be) work almost always 2nd shift 12-9 which makes me SICK! those house suck donkey butt but I have heard in other stores the comanagers work all over the board sooooo I'm hoping that my assigned store will be good to me. So we'll see I'm not jumping to conclusion yet. And of course once I finish this training I can then qualify for MD2 training which means MORE MONEY and more responsiblity... then MD3 training and that meanst UNIT MANAGER which is where the money is... at least that's what I'm told. So we'll see time will take care of everything i think. Tait keeps threating to move to retail I keep trying to conveince him that his hours are just too precious to give up. So we'll see.

WEll it's getting late and I haven't adjusted to the new time change so I'm going to hit the sack I can't wait! So hopefully I will update soon that's my plan! espically if I get some pictures and video put on... so look for it soon!
