Update

Well it IS time for another update.

It’s been awhile… but tis the season I guess…

Well Lehna and Maya had their first Christmas Program. It was really cute. I am glad that this daycare does do something like this b/c their old daycare always had a summer program so this was kind of neat to see them in their Christmas Program. Maya was SUPER cute. When she came into the room she goes “Mama” really loud and everyone laughed… when she walked by me she tried to walk over to me but they steered her down the aisle to the front of the room. She stood on the stage and they played a slide show and rang jingle bells it was very very cute. She also had antlers on her head. She was in MANY pictures for the slide show a lot of the pictures she had things on her head or was making funny faces it was really cute. I video recorded it. Of course when I watch it it will probably be like being on a rollercoaster… b/c I had to zoom REALLY closely and I was far back so getting to see her all the way was difficult. But she was SUPER cute! Lehna was also super CUTE… when she came in… Maya goes really loudly “Sissy!” and then when she got up there… Lehna waved to me and goes “mommy” it was very cute and I of course waved back… Lehna did the songs she actually did all the hand motions and everything it was really cute. Lehna has been singing these songs for a couple of weeks but I didn’t know they were the songs they were going to perform for the program. They weren’t very long but it was certainly very cute. Tait recorded Lehna’s part b/c I had Maya on my lap and she was EVERYWHERE on my lap… She didn’t want to sit still.

Maya in all her cuteness (notice her holiday smile) LOL

Another picture of Maya and her class

Lehna Singing
After the different groups the kids went back to sit with their families and it was like 8 p.m and Lehna and Maya both were tired of sitting…they were DEFINTELY ready to go home… Lehna saw in the lobby they had cookies and she cried to go out there and get a cookie… well not really cry just whined… I felt bad b/c she was so loud… That was really difficult to hold her still when she was pushing against me… by the time the whole thing was over I was READY to be home. I think the girls were too.

So we went home and the girls got to shake out their crazies… Maya and I were so tired. Maya fell asleep on me about 8:30 and I was out like 8:31 I was so tired… I couldn’t believe it… I hadn’t even taken off my work clothes. So by the time I got to bed I was definitely ready to snooze the night away. This has been my last early week so I don’t know if it has just been catching up with me or what…

Well some exciting news. Lehna wrote Santa a letter this weekend and surprise Santa wrote back to her on Tuesday. She was SOOOO excited to read the letter. I read it too she and she ran through the house with it in her hand saying “daddy daddy Santa wrote me a letter” it was really a cool moment. Maya also got a letter from Santa… but she didn’t respond nearly as excited as Lehna… She basically tried to take the paper out of my hand and write on it… I think maybe she’s going to be a writer… this kid could write for HOURS with a pen and paper… and it could be on little pieces of paper it entertains her for HOURS! It’s really quite amazing…

I am so excited on Saturday we are going to finish/start Christmas shopping. I know it’s nothing like waiting to the last minute… but I can’t wait. Trent is going to come and watch our girls and we are going to go to Lafayette to finish. There are several things that I am hoping to land but we’ll see what I come up with…

Well I have to say I lost another pound this week. I am so slacking with my exercise… I think I did the 40 minute twice this week and the 20 minute just once this week… I feel like a slacker when I do that 40 minute… although I’m getting faster at the 40 minute and it is only taking me like 25-35 minutes, which is SUPER NICE… I need to continue to work out so I can continue to loose. Of course my stress level definitely helps b/c I don’t have a need to want to eat… which is strange b/c in the past I have always been an emotional eater… I don’t know b/c it’s b/c this stress is so different… who knows… Life will continue.

Well that’s all I have right now in the world me us… Hope all of you have a safe weekend… the weather is kind of touchy these days!

Update...

So I need to update… It’s really hard to update right now b/c of all the crap that is going on right now. So I’m not going to go into much detail b/c honestly… I don’t think that I want to remember this later when I’m going back and rereading this one day. I will say that Tait and I are having some problems. We are dealing with them together we are both seeing a marriage and family therapist and that are it. We are working through them and hopefully by the time we get to the end of this journey we will be much stronger then we have ever been.

As far as what’s going on in our family. Lehna and Maya are growing minute by minute. Lehna has really started to be a protector for Maya, any time Maya is upset and crying Lehna is right there trying to make her feel better. It’s a really cool trait to see that my oldest has for my youngest and I hope that it continues. Maya has become Lehna’s little side companion. I can’t wait until Maya can really “play” with Lehna, they try the best they can but Maya really doesn’t know what to do… and just usually follows Lehna’s foot steps basically just doing copy cat. Lehna sometimes gets upset especially when Maya grabs that doll that she is playing with or whatever but for the most part Lehna is pretty tolerant of her little sister.

We moved Maya into the booster seat for dinner. We had her in the high chair for a long time but Maya really didn’t like it and when we pushed that tray part on it it trapped Maya too much and she kind of revolted and cried… so the Booster seat is where she sits now. It’s funny at dinner time both girls are so different. Depending on the day will depend on who will be the best eater. I used to be able to depend on Maya being the best eater but recently Lehna has really been a better eater. Maybe Lehna is going through a growing spurt and needs to food to help her grow or something… who knows.

As far as the holidays it was more stressful then normal. Tait and I went to his family in Williamsport then I went to Peru to see my side of the family. I thought about taking the girls with me but then I thought it would be an easier trip for me if I just went by myself. It was nice being able to see family. I was disappointed b/c I was really hoping we would play games and return to normal but we didn’t. I was surprised that there wasn’t very many people there I expected to see more but I’m sure I’ll see them for Christmas. I love Christmas I just love it b/c everyone is just so happy.

On Friday of Thanksgiving we had a pretty low key day I didn’t even go shopping we took the kids to Indianapolis to see Tait’s Aunt and Uncle and Tait’s’ parents stayed over night and took our kids for the even and Tait and I spend some much needed time together one on one. It was really nice. One Saturday Helen and Tim brought our kids back to us and we had lunch and Tait’s dad fixed our dryer… well it now makes a new noise but that’s okay at least he tried. Then on Sunday we didn’t do much of anything besides putting up our Christmas tree. Putting up our tree didn’t take very long it probably took us like maybe 20 minutes total to put it up. It was really crazy how quickly we put it up. This was help from Maya and Lehna too. Lehna really was a big help she would put all the ornaments up in one spot. Maya tried a couple of times but she was more interested in taking them off verses putting them up so after telling her to no touch a couple of times… she got bored and walked away. It was fun to let Lehna help put up the tree I think she really liked it. Now at night she is kind of strange b/c I thought she would really like the tree turned on and light up… but about 8 p.m. every night she announces that the tree needs to be turned off and she walks over and pushes the button to turn of the tree… it’s kind of strange but I think she likes to push the button on the floor.

For the most part that is what’s going on…

Purdue Sports anyone?

So I have to say that I’m WAY excited about this Saturday! This weekend we have the Purdue Football game IU vs. Purdue at Noon. So Tait and I will be in attendance with that. I happened to win tickets to the Men’s basketball game on Saturday evening for Coppin State (have no idea) but it’s a sold out game and I have tickets and the basketball team is GOOOOOOD! So we are going to that! So I have both Football AND basketball THEN after that Tait and I are going to go to La Costa which is an Italian restaurant here in Lafayette. I’m SOOOOOO EXCITED! Tait’s parents are coming down to watch the girls overnight so we will have an entire day of KID FREE! I’m so very excited. I LOVE my children…. But I love having breaks too. I think this will be a good time for Tait and I too b/c it’s a break for us to get out and enjoy sports and be with one another. I can’t wait.

So I have to say the past two weeks I have lost NO weight… I haven’t gained but I haven’t lost so it’s okay… but still sad L I was hoping to be at 30 lbs by Thanksgiving… I’m only 4 lbs away so maybe if I exercise EVERY day and stop eating like a horse for the next couple of days I can do it… Wish me luck! Tait lost 4 lbs last week so he’s catching up to me! Men loose weight SOOOO much faster than woman anyways… I mean it’s not fair we have to be pregnant with the children gain then lose in a 11 month period of time… then have some “left over” THEN Men can just snap their fingers and lose weight and women don’t have that luxury… Of course I think part of my problem is my exercising has been dismissal this week AND my eating has been on HIGH gear… I hate stress… I eat… (sigh)

Overall we have been doing pretty well at our home. We have hit some major pot holes but we are working through it. The girls are doing really well. Maya is still chatting away. We don’t always know what she’s saying but she is doing much better at talking. Lehna is growing and growing and growing. It’s hard to keep her jeans right now. She doesn’t fit in 5 & 6 in the hips and thighs but 6x’s don’t fit her in the length… so she has had lots of jeans that have been hemmed but we will have to lower when the times comes. Hopefully she will keep her current jeans for awhile they are bigger on her but the regular 6’s you could tell after ONE wash you knew that she wouldn’t be able to fit her again… It’s crazy!!!! I broke out the 2T’s for Maya last night. Mostly b/c her 24 month clothes are all short sleeve and warm weather clothing. And since it’s pretty cold around here right now… they said it’s 10-20 degrees lower then normal, but it Indiana for you.

Well the election is over. I did do my civic duty and I voted. I didn’t know where I was supposed to go but I found out (they changed it from the last time we could vote) so I voted and so it should be an interesting change. I am kind of excited about having a democrat back in the white house… not that I’m a Democrat nor am I a Republican I sit somewhere in the middle. I just am glad that we are going to have a new face in there hopefully he will bring new ideas and we will progress forward making a better tomorrow. LOL well that’s the idea anyways.

So in my car I have been listening to the Messiah. I have to say I like to try to remember my parts and sing while I’m driving down the road. It’s very relaxing. I of course probably look like a total IDIOT but I don’t care b/c its fun. I know it’s not Thanksgiving and it is Christmas music but it just puts me in a good place when I listen to it. I am thinking about adding some more Christmas music to my car so I can sing more as I go back and forth to work everyday. I have given up my daily chats on my cell phone I only talk to Jackie randomly and it usually isn’t very long before her signal goes out… sooooooo I have to do something in the car for 35 minutes!!!

So let’s see what else is going on. Thanksgiving is next week. I’m very excited about it. I can’t wait to eat turkey and I think perogies (I’m assuming grandma is helping make those) I hope to not gain a ton of weight but a few pounds won’t totally kill me. You know what I mean. I want to enjoy myself… but not overdo it. J See it’s this type of mentality that hasn’t let me loose any weight for the past TWO WEEKS! (sigh)

Well that’s all that’s going one… do you like my background? Yeah it’s groovy… the website was I got my background apparently is having bandwidth problems I’m hoping the fix the problem soon… I mean as much as I love the bandwidth warning on my screen… Jackie is supposed to change the background sometime soon… sooooo all will be well.

Okay well that’s all I have for now…

Have a great Thanksgiving if I don’t see you over the holiday!

Two Week Update!

Well it is time for another update.

I have two weekends to write about so let’s get too it.
Two weekends ago the girls and I took a brief visit to Wisconsin. We went to see my mom and Terry and to visit a few sites when we were up there. We went to this place call the Discovery Zone. It was a little museum type thing but it was full of activities for the girls to do. We happened to be there the weekend that Star Wars had some displays. There were lots of men in star trooper outfits, there were a few RTD2 machines that were controlled by Remote controls, Jedi’s were running around. It was a neat display. There were actual costumes that were on display for everyone to look at, which I liked that. Lehna didn’t want to be down on the ground at all in the room. She kind of freaked out around the robots and the star troopers. Maya didn’t look too impressed either by the cool robots but I liked it. It’s like a big “machine” type of museum so it really hands on it was kind of cool. They had this HUGE ship that is mounted from the ceiling and you get to go in and crawl around on it. This was really cool. Lehna wanted NOTHING to do with going on the bottom level where the crew slept. The end of the museum was this REALLY COOL AQUAIUM. I really liked that. Lehna seemed to too we would point out the fish and Lehna would go “look mommy, look at this first” so it was really cool. That was definitely the best part of the Discovery Zone.

Then this past weekend we went to Williamsport for Tick or Treating. We went on Halloween to take them around. That was pretty fun. Lehna wasn’t shy at all this year… she didn’t like scary masks, but neither did Maya… not a fan either of them. Both of them would try to climb up in your arms when we saw them. I was really surprised about the lack of lights that were on around Williamsport. The kids got TONS of candy but I just was surprised about how many houses that didn’t have lights on it were a little surprising. Lehna went as a princess and Maya was a leopard, (she didn’t wear the ears, and the nose and whiskers was whipped away in moments after application) but she was cute. By the end Maya had gotten the hang of it. She was holding out her bag and saying her version of Trick or Treat. It as a good evening Helen and Tim kept Maya and Lehna over night and Tait and I went on a date. There wasn’t anything playing at the movies we wanted to see so we went out to eat then got a movie and game to play. The next morning Tait and I went out for breakfast and we headed back to Williamsport to spend some time with his family. It was a nice visit. I didn’t get a chance to visit his grandmother so I felt bad about that. The girls were able to see her and Tait went over to her house for a brief visit to watch the Notre Dame Game in which ND was beaten YEAH!!!! Purdue actually won this weekend so that was a good thing. I mean when you have to of the lowest playing teams in the Big Ten and play one another it is exciting… at least they were equally matched… LOL

Then on Sunday we had Helen, Tanna, Deklyn, and Landyn come over for some hot dogs on the fire and smores. It was a nice afternoon. I was woke up so early on Sunday and went to the grocery store I think that if I’m going to do lots of grocery shopping that is DEFINTELY the time to go… the store was totally empty and that was wonderful! I hate pushing through people at the grocery store.

Good news I did go down in weight over past two weeks. I am down 25 lbs! YEAH my first big landmark. I actually had someone comment on it this weekend… which always makes me feel good! I also measured myself and I believe I’m down 14 inches overall. I lost 5 inches in my hips alone so I’m really excited… I definitely can tell in my clothing. My butt does feel smaller and my tummy smaller too (not gone just smaller) so small steps to victory I guess. My diet was HORRIBLE this weekend so hopefully I won’t stretch my tummy back out again… that would be REALLY SAD if I did that. I have to say we did the Winsor Pilates last week and man the horrible lady gets you in these HORRIBLELY HARD positions and then talks for a few minutes it SUCKS! But the exercises she gave are just like the ones from the Core Pilates we have been doing so I was excited about that at least they are the same exercises. I’m going to have to start getting some more cardio today. I was reading an article that said that the more you increase your cardio the more your metabolism increases and I defiantly want that. So I’m going to do that. I just have to get on… (Sigh) It’s really had with two kids and a household to run… but I know we can get the goal accomplished. I want to have lost 104 lbs in a year… so far I am up to month 2 and so far I’m about a ¼ of the way there… only ¾ more to go… then I will be really happy. Keep me in your prayers man b/c I’m going to need all the help I can get.

That is pretty much all the update news that I have. Enjoy your week!

Hear Ye Hear Ye!

Tis time for another update. I know you are all excited.

I have to tell you it has been busy around our home right now. Last week flew by with such speed it was amazing.

I do have to take a moment to brag about my husband. Last week when I went to Young Women for Personal Progress Night Lehna came up to me and told me that they were going to cut out hearts. So then Tait quickly said “Lehna you aren’t supposed to tell her” It was VERY sweet, so I figured that they were going to do some kind of “project” when I was at Young Women’s well when I came home. Tait had hung hearts from the ceiling with different sayings on them that went from the front door clear back to our bedroom door. The message basically said “Sometimes I forget to tell you all the reasons why I love you, so tonight I wanted to remind you” Then when I opened the door there was 61 different hearts hanging from the ceiling with different reasons as to why Tait loves me. It was so very nice. One of the most rewarding parts was Lehna and Maya just watching my reaction. Lehna was jumping up and down and laughing going “does this make you happy mommy?” It was VERY sweet. Maya was just waving her arms probably b/c Lehna was so excited, but it was very nice. It was a nice gesture that Tait did for me. Lehna of course helped Tait cut out the hearts and colored on some for me it was so nice. I saved all the hearts so I could put them in my special scrapbook. I took a pictures of it too.

Hearts

We also managed to work outside getting our bushes and side “garden” back into some shape. I had weeds so tall in that flower bed they were past the window! I don’t go on that side of the house very often so that’s why it looked so horrible.

Well another week had come to a close and I didn’t get this up before it became stale so it’s an update w/in an update! Yeah!

So this past week really didn’t go by very quickly. Tait had the day off on Monday so he asked me if I would take the day off so we could spend some time together. So I did. We went to play golf at the Turkey Run Golf course and it was really a challenging course. I’m glad we had a cart, we talked about walking but BOY my feet would have been hurting if we would have done that there were a TON of hills. I don’t think that my feet would have been able to play all 18 holes! We had a really nice time though. We had lunch downtown Crawfordsville and then picked up the girls early from daycare (long enough for them to have a nap of course) then we had an early dinner. It was really a nice day. But that made the week crawl by I think it’s b/c I only had to work 4 days.

So this weekend we went to the covered bridge festival. It’s a HUGE festival in Parke County. Well we went to Rockville and let me tell you I was a bit disappointed. I just kept thinking “this is what people get so excited about every year?” there was lots of booths and stuff for you to by like crafts and painted wooden lawn ornaments but we didn’t need anything like that. So we walked up and down the streets for awhile and we saw this booth for hamburgers for 2.75 a piece… so I thought that sounded like a deal since everything else was more expensive. Well let me tell you it WASN’T A DEAL! It was horrible… So after that we were even more disappointed. Well Tait said that there was a police officer who recommended us going down to Bridgetown b/c it was a lot of fun. So Tait and I thought what the heck we mine as well try that town out. So we drove down a little farther south and wow let me tell you it was MUCH BETTER. It was really PACKED with people and you walked across this really big covered bridge and you walked into like this village full of little booths and such. It was really quite a cool thing. there were TONS of food booths I mean you could get anything from Homemade Ice cream to Chinese food. It was really amazing. There wasn’t any like games or anything like that just tons of food booths. It was really cool. We got Lehna some chocolate Ice cream and we got some Kettle corn and then we shared some butterfly potatoes but Maya knocked over half of them on the ground so we didn’t have too many of them… and then we shared a Funnel cake it was really good. It was really packed and they had pebble gravel making it hard to push a stroller through but we had a good time. We probably walked for about 3 hours and Tait and I agree we stayed about a ½ too long by the time we got to the car Lehna was done listening and Maya was ready for her nap. It was really a great time though. I told Tait next year let’s by pass Rockville and go straight there! So I definitely recommend the Covered Bridge Festival. I had never been there and we have lived in this area for 5 ½ years!

Some really cool news! I lost another 5 lbs this week! (this was on Friday before the festival) so I am only 3 lbs away from hitting on of my MAJOR landmarks… I have lost a total 21 lbs! I have decided to add my weight loss ticker on the screen as you can see on the right. I have decided that maybe making it public knowledge that will help me stay motivated. I wasn’t too good on the exercise bus on Sunday we walked and I tried to remember all the palaties exercises but I couldn’t remember half of them… so that kind of sucked. So this is the start of the new week I’m getting back on the fitness bus and hopefully hitting my first landmark! Keep me in your thoughts b/c I’m going to need some happy thoughts!!!!

Let me see what else is going one right now. That is really all right now. We don’t have any big plans yet for this weekend but it’s Monday so who knows what will happen between now and Friday.

New UPDATE!

Okay so this update isn’t two weeks old like my old update it. See I get distracted and then my information just gets old I hate that… so I don’t like “wasting” already written stuff I don’t even care if it’s old stuff… you know.

I’m putting random pictures in here… okay… so enjoy them.

So I regress again. So I wanted to update you that man that new diet really worked well last week… I seriously lost 8 lbs in one week! Can you believe it?! I was so excited. So that brings my total up to 16 lbs. I can tell in my clothes my jeans especially they are loser still not falling off yet… but getting better. Tait also continues to lose he has lost 5 more lbs so that’s really exciting stuff! He has also been doing the diet for 1200 or less, only b/c he eats what I eat… so he is going on a calorie cut too. I have to say that getting the zero calorie foods in the freg has helped TREMODOUSLY so at dinner when there is nothing on my plate I can have a salad with lettuce, carrots, radish you know… makes it seem like I’m eating a LOT more… so it’s a good thing J So hopefully this week will be another good week… I hope J

So this weekend was really fun. On Saturday we moved furniture around I know that doesn’t sound like fun to most people but for me… yep it made my day really fun. We moved the futon around in the Playroom and that made SOOOO much more space in there so after we did that. I moved all the toy boxes back to the playroom. The girls really like this room. They were in the room all weekend especially Lehna. She sat on the futon and colored and watched TV in there. We put all the books on the bookshelf again so Lehna kept bringing me books for me to read to her. It was really a nice day. We couldn’t get three tubs back in the room so I moved the window seat from the girls closest in the front room and we are now using the chest as a toy chest. It works and now there are no more toys in the front room. It was really nice. Then after we did that I rearranged stuff in the girl’s closet and I found more room in there by doing that. It looks really nice I have my seasons mixed up usually you don’t clean until Spring but you know I have never done things the easy way. Then on Saturday night the girls went to one of the families from church’s house and Tait went to the Priesthood broadcast and all the women went and painted a house. I know that sounds kind of strange, but it was fun about 7 women went to one of the members house and we painted it. They are getting it ready to become a Senior Home of sorts and so they had 3 bedrooms and a laundry room to paint so we did that. It was fun we got done in like 2 hours so after we got done we went and picked up the kids and went home. It was fun painting… made me want to paint my living room actually. But it’s getting colder so I will probably need to wait until spring.

On Sunday we didn’t have church b/c of General Conference and us DVRd that so we could watch it without the children distracting us. So with our free time we headed to the pumpkin patch to get pumpkins to carve. The girls were really funny. We told Lehna she could get any pumpkin she wanted and she would touch a few and go “I want this one” then walk to another one and go “I want this one” so it was kind of interesting. After we looked at a few pumpkins and took a couple of pictures. We walked through the corn maze and it again isn’t very Maze like… I mean it’s not like you had paths to choose from it was basically just a circle… I don’t know. We walked through and then ended up at the end of the nature trail so we decided to walk down the nature trail Lehna kept saying “we are going away from the pumpkin patch” and we told her that we would go back to it… it was very cute… Maya had a sucker and she was REALLY REALLY sticky and she kept getting stuck to the hay and grass so after the “walk” we went to the car to wipe her down with wipes. After that we got them to pick out pumpkins. Lehna wanted this HUGE pumpkin and Maya we picked her out for her a small pumpkin.

After we got the pumpkins back to the patch we gutted them and carved them. Lehna was hilarious when it came to the scooping the stuff out… I had pretty much gotten mine and Maya’s done and Lehna looked in her’s and goes “ewwww I’m not going to touch that stuff” it was hilarious. So I gave her a spoon and let me tell you it wasn’t very helpful. But she did “try” to get it out… she then told me that she needed help and I scooped the majority of it out then she decided I was helping “too much” and started to cry so I told her that everything was loose enough for her to just scope out and so she used the spoon and I suggested to her it would be easier to use her hands and the little girl did it… she used her hands and scooped it out. Maya was just going round and round walking around to each of us looking at what we were doing… it was very cute. When it came down to craving the pumpkins I cut my face in there and Tait carved his face in his face it was quite hilarious. Then he carved Maya’s in. Lehna was drawing her face on her pumpkin and Maya was TRYING to help but Lehna really didn’t see it that way. There was a lot of “Maya no don’t do that, Maya stop touching that, Maya NOOOOOOOO” This was Lehna complaining about Maya… oh just love that sisterly love. LOL Then after that we put the pumpkins out for display and we lit them after it got dark. It was a very exciting day.

Two week old update (I know it's old but it's written soooooo)

Well it is time for another update.

This past week went okay, I wouldn’t say it was a bad weekend just an okay weekend. I did go to the doctor and unfotuntately he didn’t have any answers which was disappointment. They said that I’m totally normal as far as my labs nothing that is shooting signs for ‘hey we have a problem’ so as strange as it sounds it was DISAPPOINTING. I was hoping they would say you have this wrong with you let me give you this and Ureka all fixed, but it’s a good thing that there isn’t anything wrong with me.

So he said I could see an endocrinologist b/c they have some drugs that they might prescribe. So I think I’m going to use that as a last resort and I’m not there yet. He asked me how I felt about surgery and I told him that I’m not into it. I told him that I really don’t want that to be an option and he said that’s cool he just wanted to see if it was at all on the radar screen. So well see… I guess I’ll just have to work harder. I talked to my other doctor my girl doctor and he actually have me a diet of 1200 calories per day… which isn’t a lot he said it will feel like I’m starving… so YEAH ME! But I think I’m going to try it… give it a whorl for a month and see what happens. I mean what’s the worst that can happen I lose 50 lbs… wouldn’t that be GREAT! I would be so happy… but one day at a time.

So I started my new diet on Sunday. So far… it’s only Monday morning… so good. So keep me in your thoughts. I researched a bunch of zero calorie foods and I put them in my freg this weekend. So I will be eating a BUNCH of celery but heck if that’s what it takes I will just become a HUGE rabbit.

So let’s get on to happier things. Tait meet one of his first goals so YEAH TAIT! I’m very happy for him he has really done a good job losing! Yeah!

This weekend we did have a few people come over to our house Kris, Jackie, Evan, Zach, and then my family we all watched the Purdue game and it was a disappointment. It was very sad. We had a good time though. We played Trivia Pursuit b/c I have had some hankerings to play some games and we did that… that helped. I miss having game nights that was always fun when Dad and Teresa would come down and we would all play games and eat fun food… I miss those days… but I regress.

This is my update from two weeks ago… short and sweet I’m preparing a bigger update… so enjoy for now.

Zoobley Zoo

Well the Beast Lehna has finally developed…

Last week when Tait went to pick up Lehna and Maya from daycare the teacher pulled Tait aside and told him that Lehna was HORRIBLE all day long. She then proceeded to tell Tait that Lehna was put in time out for calling the teacher a bad name and then while she was in time out… she then proceeded to THROW CHAIRS at the teacher demanding that her daddy come pick her up.

YIKES does this sound like a story that MY parents would have told people! Well Tait said in the car ride home Lehna was HORRIBLE she didn’t listen ran away from him… it was just a bad day for Little Miss Lehna.

Well when she got home she has stopped crying and we put her in her room in her bed for about a ½ hour to kind of “reflect” and I went in and told her how disappointed I was in her for not listening. So during that time I found out “what happened” to her during the day. This is Lehna’s side of the story.

She said that she was put in time out b/c she called Ms. Angie a poopy diaper. She said that when she was in time out the rest of the children got ice cream and she said that she wasn’t allowed to have any b/c she was in time out so she got ANGRY b/c she didn’t get any and started to throw the chairs b/c she was mad that the teacher didn’t give her any and did demand for her daddy to come pick her up.

So it also turns out that the day before a little girl in Lehna’s class got really mad and started to throw chairs… they said that she DEMANDED for her daddy to come pick her up and they said that she was bad enough that they did have to come pick her up… So Lehna was in fact copy catting that girl. So that is good news… I never found out if the ice cream part of the story was true but I’m sure she did call the teacher a poopy diaper right now Poopy is kind of her “word” of choice.

So we had to bibe her. We told her that if she is good the rest of the week then on Saturday we would take her bowling. Well she was excellent the rest of the week and we took her bowling on Saturday. It was really fun we played just one game… we did the whole 2 games before and that was a WAIST Lehna was just so done. But she lasted until frame 8 and then she started running around and stuff, but it was fun. Then we played some games and stuff in the arcade which was pretty fun. Lehna did trip on the step and hurt her head but other than that it was a pretty fun activity.

This week we told her if she is good then we will get her a Dora Birthday Movie… but she changed her mind and decided that she wants Sleeping Beauty BUT we found out that isn’t going to be released until October 7th. So we told her we would get her another movie of her choice on Friday. BUT then last night happened.

Lehna and Maya went to bed pretty easily last night. Maya was totally zonked by 8:30 after of course a screaming fit that lasted like 15 minutes (she was VERY tired). Then Lehna went right into her room. Lehna was pretty quiet and then as I was lying in bed I could hear her wrestling around, so I had to go investigate.

When I went into her room the little stinker had pulled all of her clothes out of her drawers and took ALL the toys and diapers and such off of the baby changing table. And piled them in a huge MOUND in the middle of the floor she even pulled off her blankets of her bed and piled them under the floor. So I told her very firmly (mind you I can’t yell b/c Maya is in the same room sleeping) that I was very disappointed in her and that she has a major mess to clean up tomorrow after daycare. She gave me attitude… which just DRIVES ME CRAZY and I put her back in her bed turned off the TV and soon she fell asleep, but mercy me is there a mess to clean up. Tait told her that she wasn’t going to get a movie unless she helped pick up the mess. Which NEVER goes well… she also stands along the side and says she’s not going to help…

I haven’t quite figure out when she does that how to make her start helping… without pulling her arms to hold things… which I don’t think would be very successful… but usually if she does that I just ignore her… thinking that reverse psychology will work… IT NEVER WORKS… isn’t that sad L so if anyone has any suggests on how to get my young three year old motivated when she’s being a young beast… please let me know.

Tait and I have decided we are going to do the bribing thing for awhile so far at DAYCARE she has gotten really good remarks about her behavior and how well she is doing. At home… not so much, but I really just care how she is with other people. I mean I realize that at home she is always going to be worse b/c we are her parents so she’s going to challenge us more… you know what I mean.

Maya has been given some really good compliments from daycare. They said that she is the best speaker in the class. Which she does have a large vocab but she still is kind of hard to understand. She knows the word Thank you really well. Also please she knows well. You really have to listen to what she is saying but you can normally pick out the words she is saying. She knows Bottle REALLY well… I need to hide them I think pretty soon b/c she is a BIG bottle baby. I mean she’s 18 months old… it’s time. But she really does speak well. They said she also is really well behaved, so that’s good am glad that she is good. Of course at home she throws HUGE fits. This past weekend she threw herself on the ground and started kicking the floor… it was an interesting site to say the least. So I know that she still gets frustrated… It’s mainly when we tell her No to something she wants… she normally “wants” to climb on chairs and on the table… things that are VERY unsafe… the silly girl.

This past weekend another exciting thing was that Maya was now old enough to go into Nursery at Church. So Tait and I were able to sit peacefully in Sunday school and also in our separate meetings afterwards it was so wonderful. They said that Lehna was SOOOO helpful with Maya they said she would show Maya were all the toys were and that type of thing. It was really very nice. Lehna keeps asking me if she is going to go back to nursery next week and I keep telling her yes. It’s very cute how protective she is over Maya. Maya I know loves her big sister. They are always playing together and Lehna gives Maya her suckers all the time usually unused but still really sweet. I am glad that they seem to have a good relationship in that way. Well so far anyways.

This is an update within an update… you know me I start and update get distracted then have to start a new one… this one I’m just including old news with new b/c you know I’m just really too lazy to rewrite the whole darn thing again.

So what’s the news around our home this week?

Well Lehna has managed to “earn” bowling & a movie for behaving at daycare. This past week she was so good I took her to Wal-Mart and told her she could pick out any movie she wanted (in the kid section of course) and the little girl picked up this Barbie Movie and said “this is the movie I want, it has princesses” Well you can’t argue with that and that’s the movie we went with… it was ONLY $5 bucks! So what can I say she has cheap taste? So this week I decided to make the ‘prize’ a bit smaller and I told her that if on Friday if she gets good reports I would take her to the store and she can pick out any color of nail polish and we will paint her nails and toes, she’s VERY into this. So we have talked about it all weekend long and she can’t wait! So like I said she has CHEAP taste LOL.

This past weekend we headed down and over to Williamsport. Tait’s parents were in town and we had tickets to the football game so they watched the girls on Saturday and we went and had tailgating and football. It was a ton of fun good game too. Since the game was sooooo early we brought breakfast items. Its was a good time. My coworker had extra tickets so we went up and sat where his season tickets were and they were really awesome seats so that was really fun. After the game we went back down to Williamsport and visited with Tait’s grandmother and Aunts and Uncles it was good time.

Then on Sunday we skipped church and headed back down to Williamsport b/c there was a festival going on and they were having dinner and such. It was really good they made Ham and Beans so we were very AUROMATIC afterwards but it was really fun. The parade was also really nice they gave out SO much candy every person in the parade had candy so we sat with a bunch of kids so they threw out gobs and gobs of it. We let both Maya and Lehna eat their fill of it on Sunday then I put it “up” for now. Lehna asked where it was yesterday but I told her it was put away for now. I would have given her some but it was like 8:30 at night and knew she probably wouldn’t go to sleep, if she would have had sugar that late.

Well Tait and I are still working on our weight loss. I am still hovering at 8 lbs and nothing more. It’s sad. I’m actually going to see the doctor on Friday to see if my blood work is normal b/c maybe there’s a reason why I’m not loosing. I am hoping that there is a solution wouldn’t that be great. So we’ll see what happens. I am still walking everyday; we did start to increase the amount now we are starting to walk every day for 45 minutes to help get things moving a bit faster. It’s nice to have to walk together with the girls. Lehna likes it when we are near the side walk b/c then she gets to walk along side us on the side walk… yes we walk in the streets but it’s not a booming metropolis so it’s fine.

Tait is really close to one of his goals… he is going to probably hit it this week… and he will be at 32 lbs lost. So I’m so very proud of him. None of his clothes fit him so I had to get him smaller belts to help hold up his pants. I also went through his smaller clothes that I had packed away and pulled out his 2xl shirts and XL shirts and rotated them into his closet. I didn’t remove anything yet... but it’s coming. I don’t really want to go out and spend 300 bucks on more clothes for him though until he kind of tapers off a bit. He really is doing well and I’m just so proud of him. I hope he doesn’t hit a plateau any time soon. My clothes are still fitting darn them. I can really tell in my lower baby belly (I have two you know, upper and lower, each child left their own special gift) b/c my clothes are looser through there but nothing dramatic. I want to buy smaller belts b/c my clothes won’t stay up… but again… not so much. So I’m going to still keep working and eventually the darn stuff will come off. I am considering doing weight watchers but I’m really worried that that will not help b/c I KNOW I don’t diet… and I will do it for about a week and a half then go back to old habits b/c I’m just that lazy. So we’ll see what happens.

Maya is in this HUGE climbing stage so every vacant chair she wants to climb up on and go from chair to chair like a crazed monkey. She’s cute but it is challenging.

I am getting ready to make a huge movement in their room to get them all set for a brand new set up to put the girls in the same room still but put Maya in a bigger bed. I’m excited about it I just need to have time to go through the room and move stuff to the garage. So fun fun J I went through Maya’s clothes this weekend and removed all of the too small and moved bigger ones into her closet that took a while… I need to go through Lehna’s and I was going to… but after I got done with Maya’s I was so done going through clothes it wasn’t even funny. So I will save Lehna’s clothes for another day but she is going to probably need “bigger” shirts for fall time b/c I think that she is growing faster then her clothes will allow.

Okay that is all I have for now.

News from the Zoo

So I managed to go an entire month without updating… bad blogger bad…

But the good part IS Jackie and I were able to come up with a new “theme” for my fabulous blog… and it’s true… I truly live at the Wagner Zoo! Thank you Jackie. There are days in which no zookeeper in their life would work at this zoo b/c the animals are so moody… Tonight has been a rough night so maybe this isn’t the best night to blog… but heck I’ll give it a shot.

So let me begin. The beginning of August was really good. I was able to have a very romantic 5-year anniversary with Tait. We had a babysitter for 24 hours and Tait and I rented a Jacuzzi in the room… talk about fabulous… I want one of them for my house… So we enjoyed that quite a bit and went swimming and out to eat… it was a nice “relaxing” BREAK.

For Tait’s birthday this year we were VERY informal. We had a nice quite dinner at home. Tait didn’t want a party or anything he just wanted to enjoy his “girls” is what he told me. So we got an ice cream cake and southwestern chicken… pretty fabulous.

Then the end of August… well things got a little interesting out our home. Well it mainly involved the vehicle at our home.

As I was driving to work one morning, I noticed a shape in the roadway… well at first I thought it was a Styrofoam cup and there was a car in the other lane so I really couldn’t avoid the cup… and ran over it… little did I know that this “cup” was actually a HUGE concrete chuck of the roadside… and I SMACKED it HARD! I mean it hit my car… rattled around a bit underneath it and then it rolled out… and I was like “holy crap what the hell was that” well… I then put it all together very quickly… that it was a rock that I hit… so I got to work… and I got under my car and it totally smashed my oil pan to crap… soooo I was now leaking oil. So GREATNESS! This was the Corsica a car that I have had, then was then used by Jackie and Marcus, then was used by Trent, then was used once again by use… it is like the rotating car. It was a 1994 Corsica… so it was quite an old car… Well I called the police to make a report… I don’t know what else to do… and the police officer I have to say was QUITE a jerk face… I don’t know if he just thought I was ridiculous for making a report or what… but I didn’t know what to do… I was REALLY angry b/c there was a freaking piece of the road in the middle of the road… and I just happened to hit it and there was nothing I could do… quite crappy. Well after we took the car to the car place to get it fixed… I called my insurance company and more bad news that car didn’t have comprehensive or collision… it only has liability… soon the car WE would have to fix. More then upset is how I felt about it.

Well we got the car fixed b/c we knew that it was going to have to last at least until March b/c the SUV wasn’t paid off until then… well so we pressed forward… well… then all kinds of things started to happen. The transmission was starting to act up… it would kind of forget to shift… the car place said it sounded like that there was a problem with the timing belt or something like that… have no idea not a car person… soooo we decided that we couldn’t just continue in this car b/c it wasn’t dependable… I was really afraid to drive the car to Lafayette everyday. So we went car shopping.

So finding a new car was really fun for me b/c unlike last time when we got the van and even though Tait kind of left the decision to me, even though he was going to be driving it all the time I know that this CAR I WOULD be driving all the time. So it was a different experience. We went to this place in Lafayette after looking on line and kind of window shopping… they had a 2005 Certified Toyota Corolla. It drove soooooooo nice. We drove it around it was really a great car. So we bought it. It is lovely. I love being able to get in my car everyday and have a working AC and be able to go someone at lunch and have the car start and not have to worry about the car dying in the middle of an intersection every day… what a relief. So now we have TWO new cars… yeah for us. So we should be car happy for awhile. And the good news is the Corsica AND SUV are gone… YEAH! The SUV was such a burden this is really a great thing that we have now. It’s really fabulous.

So now it’s starting September and things are getting back into the school routine… I mean even though our kids are in school yet… daycare switches curriculum and Lehna comes home now talking about different letters and counting in Spanish and stuff, compared to the summer where she comes home and talks about which movies that she has seen. Which you know summer they relax and I understand you know…

So Tait and I looked into registering Lehna for Dance classes we actually told Lehna that we were going to register for classes but when I went to the studio to register Lehna they said that she was going to be in the “creative movement classes” which is the kinderdance classes… but what the means is she won’t be in the end of the year program… which kind of sucks… so we decided to keep Lehna out for a year, and wait until next year when she’ll be in the program at the end of the year… so keep that day open… lol.

Maya is growing and growing… she has really started taking off verbally… she was at the doctor’s yesterday for another ear infection and the doctor said that Maya is really ahead of where she’s supposed to be so that is good. She says phrases things like “I want more”, “Thank you”, “Bottle”, “Lemha, (which sounds like a combination of mommy and lama) it’s hard to explain, “Hold baby” “Molly Dog” she also counts to five after you say the words (so its more of a parrot thing verses her KNOWING the words) she also is learning where her nose, eyes, hair, tongue, tummy, knees, you all the body parts are… It’s so strange when you have one kid you teach all of these things too… then when you have a second kid you kind of “forget” that you have to teach the second one all of the same things you just taught your first kid… I don’t know it’s hard to explain. She is really doing well though. She still takes a bottle and pass… basically I AM NOT in a hurry to break these yet… passes am as serious as bottles to me… bottles I want to start anytime… but I’m not quite ready yet… Lehna was really easy but Maya I think it going to be hard… b/c Maya KNOWS what a bottle is, where the are, and how to get them… and she throws a HUGE fit when she doesn’t get them and to save my sanity… I’m not ready yet… I know that is ONLY going to make it that much harder later… I just am in no hurry to break it yet, at daycare bottles are totally gone… so it’s just at home that we are still doing it. The doctor really didn’t seem too concerned yet… so we are going to just pass.

Well some big news or I should say “skinny news” Tait and I have been working on loosing weight… Tait have to say has been doing a GREAT job. He has lost 28 lbs. so far in the past 6-8 weeks approximately. I have lost 8 but then I gained some back then lost some… so my total is like 5 lbs.… My body moves so slow… I have lost “roundness” but not really lbs. yet… we have been weight lifting and walking every since day. Tait really changed his diet and that’s where a lot of his weight started to come off. I didn’t really start changing my diet until like ohhhh two weeks ago… so that’s why mine has been up and down… I don’t believe in dieting b/c I know when I “diet” I don’t follow it so I have been educating myself on calories, excerise, reading labels… all kinds of education that I never did before. And it’s really changed… but I really didn’t get serious until like two weeks ago… when I saw how much weight Tait was losing I definitely wanted to get on the bus! So I’m very proud of Tait he is looking really good. I will have to get a new picture of him up…

Well that’s all that pretty much what’s happening right now. Hopefully I will update again soon. This week is the first Purdue football game… so I can’t wait for that… and we will be tailgating on top of that…

Talk to you all later and thanks for reading about us.

A couple months review

Okay nothing is going to stop me from updating now!

I have started this update so many freaking times.

Okay so here is the update right now.

Most everyone know already but Tait’s Father about a month an ago had a heart attack. He is improving everyday and he says he’s really sore after therapy. He had to have a three bypasses done (I think that’s how you say it) so he has been pretty sore. We have been getting updates everyday which is a good thing and we have heard that he improves everyday. I know he’s probably ready to get back to life. So it’s been a stressful time for our family. We went up the weekend that he had the heart attack to make sure that he was okay and this was before the surgery happened… they didn’t set the surgery until several days later due to scheduling which was frustrating. I’m glad that he’s okay though and I’m happy that he’s been improving.

Two weekends ago we had plans that we were going to go to see him in Wisconsin but on Wednesday Night Lehna was running a fever and Maya’s teacher at daycare said that she had the chicken pox… so we ran them to an urgent care and Lehna was given some antibodies for her soar throat and Maya they said that her “chicken pox” was actually bug bites they thought… but to watch them. So we decided instead of taking the risk of getting Tim exposed to chicken pox and a sore throat we decided to stay home. I was very disappointed b/c I wanted to check on Tim and also see my parents. We will just have to go up another time.

The month of June as a whole was a pretty insane month. I turned older… this was a rough birthday for me for some reason b/c it’s one year closer to the big 30 which I don’t know why that makes me sad but it does… I mean you’d think being the mother of two would be enough for me to realize that I’m getting OLDER… but still it was a little rough. I guess we can’t stay young forever.

We also have been doing some cool things with the girls this month. We took them to the strawberry festival and that was fun. Maya slept through most of it until it was time to eat then she woke up waiting to eat some tiger ear and corn dog. Lehna had a blast, when we first got there I thought it was going to be horrible b/c Lehna saw a clown and demanded to go home and was crying and was REALLY upset. So we got her settled down but having her ride the ponies and she really liked that. She held on to Tait with a death grip but eventually she kind of settled down and kind of was really to play.

Now onto July. July has been yet another busy month. But what else would you expect right.

The beginning of the month started busy and it hasn’t settled down yet… thank goodness it’s almost August although looking ahead doesn’t look like it’s going to get any easier. But I digress.

The Fourth of July was really fun. We had a BBQ the beginning of this month. We were supposed to go to Wisconsin that weekend to check on Tait’s dad but as you can see from that last week in June we had too sick kids so we couldn’t go. So plans were kind of turned on their head. We went to Marcus and Jackie’s for the Fourth of July for a little BBQ. Lehna’s fever was gone she was still on antibiotics but Jackie said we could come over anyways and Maya’s “spots” turned out to be mosquito bites. So we could have gone but oh well.

On the Sunday of July 4th we went to Peru b/c my cousin who I haven’t seen in several years was there. We got to see Sarah and I got to meet her daughter Aubree. It’s so strange seeing people you haven’t seen in awhile and I haven’t really talked to Sarah either by email or anything for awhile so it was kind of strange, but it was good to see her. We were TWO peas in a pod growing up. We are only two months apart in age so you can imagine J she also took some really cute pictures of my kids. So is quite the photographer.

The next weekend we welcome a new baby into our family. Jackie and Marcus we able to welcome a new baby Evan Kristopher into their family on July 10th. He is SUCH a cutie. Jackie went REALLY fast from start to finish; I think it was a total of an hour and a half. So very quick indeed. We took Zachary to our house the day Jackie was released from the hospital so that was really fun. Zach and Lehna played so well together, Maya followed along in their shadow but they all seemed to have a good time. Zach didn’t really come out of his shell until later on in the evening and then he was chasing Lehna down the hall and laughing and really playing well it was fun. He was exhausted he crawled up on Tait’s lap he wouldn’t sleep but he just layer there all tried, it was cute.
I have one picture of him... when I first saw him I forgot to get pictures so I'm a HORRIBLE aunt...

Last week we had the 4-H fair so we went up there to look around and have dinner and stuff and we happened to hit the night that Dance by Deborah a dance troop in Lafayette was performing. It’s very similar to the dance troop I was in when I was younger so it was exciting to see Lehna watch the dance troop. There was one particular dance she wouldn’t stop talking about. It was the song from Cinderella called “We Can Do it” it was two little girls about Lehna’s age dressed up in cute little pink tutus with little mouse ears and tails and they did ballet and I use the term ballet loosely. She watched with STARS IN HER EYES and she kept saying that she wanted to get up there and try and she watched the next class line up and go up on stage and she was so very excited about it. Tait and I had talked about getting her involved with dance come fall so this was really a push. She talked about the dance and wanted them to come back and do the dance again and of course I tried to explain to her that it didn’t work that way but it was very cute.

So the next day I started calling the three different dance troops in our town and we decided to go with Crawfordsville Dance Academy. I think that she will really like it. The classes are going to be easy for us to get her to and it’s pretty reasonable as far as pricing so I was excited. We told Lehna and she keeps asking if she is going to do dance class today. They start in September this group only performs one big recital in June and then during the summer they have lots of places they go to perform. They also do some things during the fall but it’s mainly just “learning time” I think Lehna will really enjoy it. I can’t wait until Maya is old enough to learn as well b/c I think Maya will enjoy it too b/c big sis is involved. But they also have gymnastics around here to… so if Maya wants she can do that if she doesn’t want to do dance. We want to involve both girls into golf when they get a little older so that will be our “family” time as far as activities. I know Tait is ITCHING for them to get older so he can teach them his favorite sport. We have enough golf clubs for them we will have to cut a set down but that will be okay. It should be cool but that is in the future.

Then that weekend we went to Peru for the Annual FOP golf Tournament. It was A TON OF FUN. I love this golf tournament we always have so much fun. We played with Trent, Tanna, Tait, and I. That would are team of champions. We did okay I mean we were 5 under by the end of the round by 11 under won. So that SUCKED but we did have a good time. We managed to be Sam’s team, Tanna’s boyfriend, so that was fun. We stayed at their house over night and then went home on Sunday. Sam has a pool so the girls had some pool time. Tait’s Aunt and Uncle came up and watched all five kids at Sam’s house and so I am very appreciative for them b/c it allowed me to have fun.

So that is us up to date. Tim is doing much better they are actually going to try coming down this weekend and staying a couple of days so that’s a good sign of improvement. Helen is really excited. This weekend is going to be BUSY. We have our 5 year anniversary on Saturday and we have gotten a sitter for Saturday to Sunday to Tait and I can celebrate our anniversary in style. Then on Sunday we have two family things going on. We have Tait’s family reunion on Sunday at noon then we are going to jump to Lafayette to have my grandma’s annual birthday celebration dinner at 5 on Sunday… so it will be a busy day. But it should be an AWSOME weekend, I just can’t wait.

This week we have some excitement going on. We have the annual Lafayette Transitional Housing Bingo thing on Thursday. It can’t wait… I like playing bingo too. I like the pull tabs they are so much fun. Tait jokingly said that if his parents are still here next week they will be able to visit him in the hospital. I mean Tait has Appendicitis once at this bingo and now he carries a grudge… LOL… just rub some dirt on it honey.

So it’s been busy busy busy recently but we all seem to strive when it’s busy. The girls are growing up so fast it is really changing. Maya has moved to a new room at day care she is now with the toddlers so with the new move she is starting to babble more. Her comprehension is excellent you can ask her if she wants a drink and she will shake her head yes or no… but talking… that’s still a struggle. She calls everyone dada… which drives me totally batty, I just want her to call me mama… she will say it if you say… who am I… sometimes… but not often enough for me… usually she wonder through the house going “dada dada” and I don’t know if she means me dada or Tait dada. She’s such a cute doll baby. We got her first hair cute two weekends ago and her bangs are SOOOO straight... .she looks adorable still but her bangs… man they are straight… She is slowly getting hair in but it has a reddish tint to it… its more red then my hair is… but it’s like blond red like strawberry blond or something. It’s really cute.

And now a tribute to my best friend and husband
5 years already… it has been challenging but it has been really amazing at the same time. We have managed to bring two beautiful children into the world. And so far we haven’t had any major issues which is good. We have a home and we both have careers that are rewarding and challenging. I love being married to Tait he puts up with all my crazy mantic moments and loves me full in return.
The last couple of months have been so very hard but we are really doing well with all the stresses of life and we are growing closer together. I am definitely learning to appreciate Tait much more and I know he has learned similar things. I’m proud to have Tait as my husband he has such a giving heart and is a caring person. He loves me and that is a challenge in itself. He is a wonderful father and provider to our family and he is my partner in every aspect. I love you honey and the past 12 years have really been amazing. I can’t believe we have been married for 5 years already. You truly make me happy; I can’t wait for the next 80 years. Like our Wedding Invitations stated “Today I will marry my friend the one I will learn to live with, laugh with, and love” That is still all true I would marry you all over again. You are my best friend and I am still reminded every day how lucky I am to have you in my life. Happy Anniversary sleepy bear.

Finally.... an UPDATE!

It’s time FINALLY for an update. I know that I have been very lax in my updates but things have been happening around here that have made it very difficult.

The first thing that I want to say is I want to give notice to Tait’s grandfather passing two weeks ago. Richard Dale Wagner he was known as Shad in the Williamsport community. Dick was a great man. Tait really had a bond with his grandfather and spent many summers being with his grandfather. It was his grandfather that taught Tait how to golf. Dick had a stoke about 6 years ago and since then he wasn’t able to get around as easily any more so a lot of the activities that he enjoyed doing he was restricted on. Dick was a great woodworker and built several pieces for his grandchildren and his home. He was also a Veteran and he was a Chaplin for his local VFW and the American Legion. He was also a freemason. He was well known in his community and was very involved with his Chaplin responsibilities and performed many funeral services for fallen soldiers of 5 different wars. He was an honoree cuss if you ask Alta his wife and he was always making jokes and loved his grandchildren and smiled when you came to visit. He is missed.

Life for us has been really busy we have had some changes and have been focusing on our children and all of that kind of thing! Maya is walking… she’s been walking for awhile actually… I started an update with that information but it has been soooo long that I can’t use it anymore. She has been walking for about 2 months. She is so cute when she walks b/c she kind of walks with her legs spread apart and I don’t know it’s just really cute. I have been calling her my little monkey b/c when you hold her hand she kind of reminds you of an orangutan She has gotten her walking down enough to were she is now starting to develop her speech. She knows Mama and Dadda but she does call everyone Mamma which is REALLY cute. Tait always goes “no I’m dada” She talks a lot in the morning so we always converse back with her. Most of the time you can tell you she’s telling you something but you really don’t know what she’s telling you about.

One major change that has happened with our children is we decided to change daycares. The girls were both going to Dover Daycare and it was WONDERFUL I loved it. I loved the people there I totally trusted them with my children I really enjoyed them I was really happy with them. Then right before the new year they had a director change. The director had been the director for about 9 years and decided that since her children were out of school she wanted to change careers. So she found something else and they hired a new director. At first I was WAY excited b/c there were something things that I thought needed improvement such as the communication between parent and child. I thought that we needed some converstation as to what the kids were studying and how my children were doing with the information etc. Well she started a newsletter and it was WONDERFUL b/c I found out what was going on with the kids… well I was a little unsure about how to take the new director b/c when I would go in to the daycare she would NEVER say hi or talk to us or ANYTHING… I mean the old daycare director would tell us silly things all the time… just little stories that really made me feel like she knew my child. Well the director never talked to me EVER even after I told her that that’s one thing that I wanted to see improved was the communication between parent and child. Well so in February they announced they were going to raise the rates which is I was totally willing to pay. I mean I understand why they are raising them… but was still really disappointed in the service so I started looking for a new daycare. I really didn’t want to go anywhere. I wanted ot keep my children at daycare I really felt like Lehna would have a HARD time adjusting to the new daycare b/c she was a favorite. I knew that Maya would be okay b/c she’s a baby and she doesn’t care. So after a couple of weeks we found one that had openings. So we decided that we were going to switch them. Let me tell you this was a switch that was SOOOO easy for my kids. Maya has found a favorite teacher that she loves. It’s an older lady that Maya looks for everyday and gets upset when she’s not available to hold her right away. Tait says she’s climbs right up into her lap everyday and holds a grudge if she’s not available when Maya gets there and she’s holding another baby. Lehna has really grown too since she’s been there. She has learned number recognition already. She never could tell you numbers before. She is learning basic Spanish and is just really excelling. She doesn’t really talk about her old friends at all I mean every once awhile maybe but for the most part they are a long forgotten memory which just makes me sad. I was probably taking the move a lot harder then what she was which is kind of amusing. I told the director why we were leaving and she said that if the new daycare doesn’t work out we can go back. Which was a relief to me b/c I was worried that if I didn’t like the new daycare I wouldn’t have a place to take them. But I’m glad that we made the move they are REALLY close to Tait he has taken Lehna out to lunch since it’s literally right down the road from his office and is able to get them really quickly if anything happens so it’s a good thing. So it was a good move for us.

Tait moved new offices for his job. They moved to the inside of an old Mall which is kind of interesting but his office is WAY better then what it was. They were in an old HOUSE that was falling apart and was really kind of a depressing place to be. The new office is filled with cubical and everyone is in ONE BIG ROOM which is very similar to what I have, except I don’t have a cube I’m open air with everyone.

Work for me is going well… we have challenge right now that we have to hit a certain amount of clients for this quarter that we have been working to try to accomplish we are SOOOOO close to the mark… but we haven’t it yet. We still need to finish June strong and so far… it’s doable just not there yet. So I hope we get it b/c it entitles us to a VERY nice bonus and I will always take that.

Some exciting news after 5 YEARS of waiting I FINALLY gets my swing for my yard. I have wanted a swing for so long it’s kind of strange that it’s FINALLY going to happen. Tait and I are going to pick it out on Wednesday… I just can’t wait. We have had a TON of storms lately so I don’t know if I’m going to put it up right away or not but I just can’t wait for it, at least when I have it I will know it’s at my house and I CAN set it up whenever I want… you know so it’s just the idea that it’s soooo close. I am SOOOOOO VERY EXCITED. I have wanted a swing for every birthday and anniversary that we have had since we moved into our home 5 years ago!

This year I don’t think Tait and I are going to take a vacation so that’s not very exciting. I will have vacation in July so there will be a little bit of time for vacation but usually I use my vacation within the first couple of weeks… which really SUCKS but oh well… since July 4th is on a FRIDAY this year I’ll get a 3 day weekend so that’s cool! Yeah for me!

The girls just got their pictures taken by Stephen and Jennifer they came down and took them to the Purdue Horticulture Park and they did a great job. At first the girls were AWFUL and felt horrible that they had driven so far for my kids to scream and cry LOL but eventually Lehna warmed up and she was ready to get her picture taken she was QUITE THE HAM so as soon as I pick out what I want I’ll put them up on the web… well maybe if I get Stephen’s permission of course. But I have to go over them and decide what pictures I want big and little they turned out REALLY well… They did a GREAT job. I’m glad that my kids decided to relax.

Speaking of pictures next weekend I get to be a model LOL for Annette and her wedding website. I’m kind of nervous and hope that everything turns out okay with them, but she needs help with the pictures and she wants to show “all sizes” so I’m volunteered for it. So that should be fun… well it will be fun I hope. I like to get dressed up and do my hair and stuff like that so hopefully! LOL I roped Tanna into it too so that will be fun for all of us.

Okay well that’s all I got for now…

Thanks for reading about us.
