Look Out World... Here I Come!!

She is FINALLY here! Little Lehna Marie Wanger came into the world on March 29th, 2005, at 10:05 a.m. She is 7 pounds 10 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. She was such a surprise after such a long and seemingly unproductive first 11 hours, that her doctor didn't even make it on time! The on-call doctor almost didn't make it either!!

I guess we can say that she is definitely a determined little girl. She was definitely the baby with the biggest fan club that day too! Grandma Helen, Grandma Jeanette, Grandma Teresa, Aunt Tanna and Aunt Jackie spent Monday night with Mommy and Daddy. Tuesday, right after she was born, Grandpa Tim, Uncle Trent, Cousin Landyn, Great-Grandma & Grandpa Wagner, Uncle Kris, Aunt Christina & Uncle Marcus arrived. Uncle Marcus even skipped his last two classes to see his first niece!

Below are just some of the pictures Uncle Kris took with a really swanky, EXPENSIVE Purdue camera. She's going high-end already! Aunt Jackie (who's been quite the shutter-bug lately) spent most of the day with the camcorder, so if you want to see really good pictures on the web, you HAVE to visit Uncle Kris & Aunt Christina's Website. They have a link to quite a large photo album of nothing but Lehna!! Aunt Jackie will keep working to make an album for this site, but for now... if you wanna satisfy that craving for baby, their site is definitely the place to go!! Thanks, Uncle Kris & Aunt Christina, for all the great pictures!

that will sound an alarm if she leaves the floor!!)

Hi Daddy!

Eh, Maybe the Outside isn't SO Bad!

Side Note: This has obviously been Jackie writing the entry for Stephanie this time. She is doing really well at the hospital, and will be going home tomorrow. I know she will appreciate the notes everyone left. I'll make sure to print them out and bring them to her tonight when I visit!

Still Expecting

Well I needed to update my blog and let everyone know that there still is no baby yet. On Monday I FINALLY lost my plug and was VERY VERY excited about it. I called my mom and put her on Yellow Alert and she said that she figured by Wednesday we would have a baby. Well I had had contractions ALLLLLLL day on Monday and I was all excited about it b/c to be honest I didn't know what they were so when I did find out what they were I was VERY excited. Well I started to time them and they were about 16 mins apart well about 8:00 Tait and I decided to put the car seat in the car so we would have that ready. Well we had LOTS of problems getting the stupid then in. Well about 8:30 the contractions stopped! I was pretty disappointed. So I went on Tuesday I had a doctor's appointment and the doctor basically talked me out of getting checked, he said it was up to me but he said that he could tell that I wasn't 4 cm but I was probably between 2 1/2-3 cm which he said that still isn't going to tell me when baby would come. So I kept looking at Tait and he just was like "it's up to you" and I passed. I didn't want to be disappointed. So after talking about induction and how he doesn't want to do that b/c I am making progress and by inducing it doubles your c-section rates he just would prefer we wait it out. I was pretty down by the time we left the doctor's office. Tait kept putting his arm around me saying "it will happen soon enough" and I have to say if I hear that again I think I may shoot someone! But after talking with my mom later night she really made me feel better. She told me that even though the doctor sounded like it was going to be a bit longer she said no one can predict when your water will break. So she said that it is possible that my water could break tomorrow. So that helped keep my spirits up. This waiting stuff is like the worst thing ever. Tait and I think that it will be best if we don't go to the family Easter's on Sunday and we just take it easy. So that will be sad that we are going to miss seeing the family, but I don't want to go into labor on the way to Peru or Williamsport... NO THANK YOU! So it will be for the best. I think Tait is starting to experience some of that nesting phase last night he cleaned the entire living room and our bedroom, which if anyone that knows Tait knows this is TOTALLY unlike him to just want to clean up. He will help me if I ask him to but he normally doesn't take the initiative. And I mean he did actully "clean" not like just shuffling stacks around his normal cleaning style. He vacuumed, washed the walls, went through the pile of junk mail, adjusted the blankets on the chairs and couch, fixed the books on the book shelf, he vacuumed the cobwebs in the corners. It was very odd and not like him. So he's having some nesting periods. He said that since we are going to have people over for the first couple of days he wanted to make the house look really nice. Then all evening he kept saying "I love it when our house is clean" that's when I know that he is satisfied with his work. Last weekend when I had the nesting urge Tait and I washed the cars. Which they look fab now! So I think between Tait and I our house is going to be spotless before the baby gets here! Well that's my update for this week. I hope I have better news next week. I REALLY want baby (like you couldn't tell) but we'll see what happens maybe with the full moon being on Friday and The Easter Bunny coming on Sunday maybe we something exciting will happen this weekend! Oh and Marcus if you talk to the stork again tell him that I'm not below bribing and I'm willing to pay Big Bucks for some information... Oh and also Tait was a little tiffed at me when I started the whole alert color system without telling anyone what they mean... So here's the "code" Yellow Alert: MP Gone, and contractions (very light) Orange Alert: Stronger Contractions and the doctor has been called (may or may not mean water has broken) Red Alert: On the way to the hospital. I didn't think it was brain surgery but he wanted me to tell everyone what they meant. So there's no confusion. Thanks for reading!

Weekly Update

Okay so this week I was a little lacking in getting my update up by Tuesday! But A TON has been happening around here at work and well... I have actually had to work so things kind of got pushed back a bit. There have been a few changes in the baby department that I wanted to update. Well I had some contractions on Thursday and I just thought they were Braxton Hicks so I really didn't really worry about it too much. Well on Friday I was having some tightness in my tummy and it was really sore. Well I called the nurse to ask her what she thought and she asked me a few other questions and she said that I needed to come in to see if I was in Early Early Labor since the contractions I was experiencing were REAL contractions not Braxton Hicks. So I called Tait and he was so cute, he got all excited and told me he'd meet me at home. I left work and drove home and by the time I got home he had loaded the car and was ready to go to the doctor. Well we got to the doctor and the whole drive there I was calling family to let them know where I was going and what I was expecting. Well we go in and she said that I had dilated more to 2 cm and that I wasn't in active labor... boy was a bummed! So she sent us on our merry way. Well this whole weekend Tait and I walked, and walked, and walked... trying to make this baby COME OUT! And I took REALLY warm baths... I tried everything to make things start happening.. Well no luck! Well on Monday I had another appointment and they did another check and I was still dilated and I had progressed to +2 station and was now 90% effaced... so I was pretty excited about that news! But it's now Thursday and still NO BABY! I was hoping that things would really start happening this week and by this weekend we would have baby! So every evening Tait and I have walked around the block a couple of times to help get things a moving. I really wanted baby to be here on the 18th and I THOUGHT I had feelings that that is when she would be here... but apparently I don't have those types of maternal thoughts... darn it! So according to my ticker I have 14 days left! Boy oh Boy I wish it was 0! I just want baby sooooo badly this is like the worst test of patience b/c there is NOTHING I can do help speed the process... Darn Mother Nature! So my next appointment is Tuesday and I know it will be with my regular doctor and he won't check me... b/c he's really odd like that. So I guess we have to leave it up to the darn stork. If the moon cycle has anything to do with it then by the full moon the baby should be here... the next full moon is March 25!!! Which isn't tooooo far away... but still feels like forever. So if you can hear me baby Lehna HURRY UP! Tait my definition of patience is now starting to become impatient we were talking about it last night and he is just as anxious... so you know it's a test when Tait gets impatient! After all he is married to me... the prime of having to have patience! Well that's all I have for this update. Hopefully by the next update baby will be here ((((SIGH))))) Thanks for reading about us!

Baby Shower in Peru

The Shower in Peru was this past Saturday and from the pictures I'm sure you can tell that Lehna made out AGAIN like a bandit! Well one thing is for sure this baby is going to be SET! I must say Thank you to all those that helped out with the shower and planned all of it! I know Tait and I are VERY grateful for all the help you guys provided us with and all the gifts for the baby. I am just grateful for a family that loves new additions to the family! The shower was great. I had a wonderful time and I know Lehna is set for awhile. So Thank you Again it was wonderful! I haven't started the Thank you cards yet but I am planning on getting them out this week! I figured I should get them done before baby is born! On Sunday Tait and I managed to get all of the wonderful gifts put away and organized into the nursery. It was A LOT of fun unpacking and showing Tait what all Lehna got. Tait also picked out the outfit for the baby's picture in the hospital. The girl outfit is very sweet and the boy outfit is adorable. We decided to do two outfits just incase rather then just going unisex. The going home outfit is also chosen and washed the baby will be going home in GREEN! I think that will be the easiest! We still have to practice putting the carseat in the car so I think that will be the plan for this weekend. So I can officially say that I think Tait and I are ready for baby to make its appearance. We had a doctor's appointment yesterday and it went fine. Baby is doing fine and developing normally. We are now going to start going every week so I'm WAY excited about that! I know that will make the time just FLY BY! So baby is doing fine, daddy is doing fine, he's starting to get nervous, and mommy is also doing fine, I'm starting to get anxious! I just have to keep reminding myself that the end is near! I think I'm going to have to retrack my day of March 18th... I'm now thinking baby will be here March 25th instead... that's the full moon you know. So I don't know hopefully she won't be too stubborn!
