Stephanie the Author...

Okay so I have decided on a whim that I should write a romance novel. I guess since I have read like 40 billion romance novels I figure that I could do it. So I have created a story in my mind and have started the novel. It’s coming along pretty smoothly so far no big road blocks yet but I do figure that I will run into some along the way. I have also discovered that I suck at grammar, so I feel sorry for all of my wonderful relatives that have volunteered to read my book to proof it… sorry guys I suck just a prewarning. So we’ll see how it goes I have a knack for starting things and only getting about half way through them before I abandoned them. It’s a HORRIBLE habit I have so hopefully the passion will continue and it will allow me to finish.

Another exciting event for this weekend is Tait, Lehna, and I are going to travel north to Wisconsin to visit my mom and Terry. I am VERY excited. Mom hasn’t seen Lehna in almost 6 weeks and she’s changed so very much so it will be fun for her to see her.

Lehna still has the dreaded cough and I called her specialist again this week to see if he would like to see her to hopefully prescribe another medication and he prescribed another medication first. It’s a nasal spray to help loosen her congestion in her upper respiratory region, he said that he wants to help treat this upper region and see if this helps her chest cough. Last night we tried her first dose and she didn’t cough but maybe a few times the whole night. I was happy for that but I don’t know if it was for the spray of if her cough just has gotten better. I don’t know who’s to say but it really doesn’t matter as long as her cough goes away… that’s the most important part. So I’ll keep you posted on her progress.

Football this weekend… wow the Boilers did it AGAIN they lost… it was a HEART breaking loss. They were getting the butts beat in the first two quarters THEN they came back to gain the lead in the 3rd quarter and in the first half of the 4th quarter but only to lose it was sad. I went back to the tailgating area hoarse it was horrible. Tait and I had brought our campfire grill and we did end up having hot dogs and smores AND we also had wonderful fajitas they were WONDERFUL. Helen once again out did herself. The fire was nice because as the evening wore on it got pretty cold outside so it was nice to snuggle up to the fire. I told Tait that the next home game I just want to go and tailgate I LOVE tailgating it just so much fun.

On Monday night the Colt’s won Tait and I watched the first few minutes of the game and though that they were going to lose so Tait went to bed not wanting to see both of his teams lose. I did stay up a little longer but I turned the channel. Well Tait was in the bedroom and he did stay up and watch the end of the game and the Colts did pull it off so that was WONDERFUL! Of course my picking for this week was HORRIBLE all of my teams did NOT help me… the double shocker for NFL, for both of us, was the Bears vs. Vikings and of course I picked the Vikings… and of course they lost… then the double shocker for both of us in College I had Michigan vs. Penn State… and I of course picked Penn state and of course THEY LOST so that didn’t help me! So now Tait won both… I’m very sad… of course I did win last week both. So now I have to become the expert masseuse… darn it!

I am kind of going out of order but on Sunday it was a nice relaxing day Tait and I played with Lehna all day and enjoyed not having to do anything. I did have to go to the grocery store but that’s pretty typically for a Sunday afternoon I mean the stuff for lunches does run out. Tait and I were looking at our lawn this weekend and we have been dreading the thought of having to cut it. It’s so incredibly long that I think if we tried to cut it now then it would kill our mower. I was hoping that it would get REALLLLLLY cold so the grass wouldn’t grow anymore but it still seems to be growing strong. So it maybe waist high before we do cut it, and then we’ll have to use the weed whacker!

So this week my goal is to keep up on the laundry and house cleaning so that when we get back on Sunday we won’t have anything to do. Won’t that be nice…? Well I think that’s all I have for this week’s update. I will have lots of pictures from this weekend so don’t worry about that.
Also…
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KRIS!
His birthday is on Saturday!

Pictures of Lehna

I tried not to disappoint so here are some fun pictures of Lehna. I hope you enjoy!

Lehna's "look"

BIG SMILES!
I have completed the Whiney Weekday but I wanted everyone to see Lehna's Pictures first so I have changed the order of the posts... so the Whiney Weekday is listed below for this week! Enjoy!
Have a good one!

Whiney Weekday

Whiney Weekday

Here’s another round of Whiney Weekday!

1. Short Week… This week was a short week since we had to take Lehna to the doctor this week and it seems like the week just won’t end! That’s the problem with short weeks once you get out of your normal “routine” the short weeks seem some how longer then the normal 5 day weeks!

2. Exhaustion… I have been so incredibly tired this week. I have no energy to do much of anything. My house is a mess and I have no energy to clean it up. I keep trying to convince myself to pick up after I put Lehna to bed but I just can’t seem to get any energy to do it. Last night both Tait and I were exhausted by 7:45 and we were barely keeping our eyes up to get Lehna put to bed.

3. Patience… Well I’m waiting patiently for another response from my latest “appointment” from this week. I can’t stand this part the waiting part is what kills me. When I talked to the lady she made it sound like all would have to do is talk to her boss and she is supposed to call me to schedule another “appointment” and the lady said within the next couple of days she should be contacting you… Today is day number 2! (((sigh))) Such torture!

4. Waiting on Hold... So I had to call the IPD today to make a request to file out a report… and let me tell you first I couldn’t get the phone to ring I just kept getting a busy signal then after I did get the phone to ring the phone went into this system that put me on hold for 15 mins! Of course there was all so wonderful hold music and a very annoying voice that came on that said “all of our dispatchers are currently busy please continue to hold and your call will be answered in the order it is received” and the worst part is I just had some questions regarding what information they would need in order to just file the report… I wasn’t even going to file the report I was going to have to CALL AGAIN just to do that! Mercy! I keep hearing the song from Adam Sandler version of Linda’s Song from the Wedding Singer and the phrase “somebody kill me please” keeps repeating in my head OVER AND OVER!

5. Purdue Boilermakers… I am so disappointed by the Boilermakers this year. Every year I try to keep faith and hope that they will do well but they always disappoint. I’m still a fan and I continue to torture myself by going to the games week after week, but they need to get their stuff together! I mean Tait has been a BEAR to live with since they are doing so bad, it’s so bad he’s actually thinking about not getting season tickets next year! So pull it together boys… and I have heard that if we do qualify for a bowl (keep your fingers crossed) then it will be either the Music City Bowl (Tennessee) or the Motor City Bowl (Detroit) which means we could go if they qualify!!!!

6. Wet Hair Look… I still haven’t gotten up any earlier so I still have the horrible “wet hair look” all day and I HATE IT, but I’m just to freaking lazy to get up early to give myself extra time.
7. Energy Prices… So I’m so tired of hearing how expensive our winter heating bills are going to be this winter I think I could vomit. We have propane heat which I HATE and we normally only have to have it filled 3 times a year and it is normally about $300 to fill it which you know that sucks but you know what can you do… well I’m so afraid that this winter will put us in the poor house because of the expense of filling the stupid gas tank! I have told Tait that we are going to have to dress warm to ensure that we don’t spend too much, I was just thinking about our pipes and finding the temperature that won’t allow the pipes to freeze but keeping it so we won’t end up in the poor house at the same time! Gosh I hate the government and those greedy gas whoring Opeck officials.

8. Post Office Natzi… well I didn’t think it was possible that government officials would be from the Natzi party but it is true and she works at the Darlington Post Office. She is the meanest lady ever! She returns things to the sender if we don’t have our Post Office box on the letters which I guess she’s just toooooo lazy to look at the address to put the mail in the right slot. The only time we can actually get packages and stuff from the horrible post office lady is on Saturday well the hours are like 8:35-10:35 every Saturday… they are like that I DON’T KNOW so usually we just miss getting our packages or large envelops on Saturday b/c they are closed and usually if we hear someone in the back we will knock and they will get us our mail, I mean I can’t help when they are open we are at WORK! Well the other workers are always SUPER nice and will get them… well this last time I asked to get my package the Natzi mail lady handed it to me and then goes… “The hours are from 8:35 am to 10:35 am… only” the freaking jerk I mean give me a break! But she has sent my checks back to me… checks… I HATE this lady… I mean why can’t we get home delivery I’m willing to pay the extra tax to do that!

9. The Golden Reimbursement Check… Well we are still waiting for the golden reimbursement check from the state office. I have come to the conclusion that we may never receive this check and maybe we need to start sending out search parties looking for it. Tait said that he gets emails from the mail accounting office stating that they are way behind and yada yada and that they should be processed soon. So we still go everyday for our daily dose of disappointment and check the post office.

10. Weather… Well just when I think that fall has FINALLY arrived the next day we get another day of 70 degree weather. I think the trees are confused on what to do whether to drop their leaves or hold on to them. Our big oak trees haven’t even started to change colors yet and if they don’t change soon, they will simply turn brown and fall off and THAT’S NO FUN! I just hate having to watch the weather report every morning before knowing how to dress Lehna for daycare!

Weekly Update

Well another it’s time for another episode of WEEKLY UPDATE! (Round of applause) Okay so maybe not but here’s the update.

On Friday of this weekend Tait and I were enjoying a nice peaceful evening at home with Lehna Bean and the puppies when all HELLLLLL broke loose! Everything was going well it was about 8:30 and we had just put Lehna to bed when Tait was in the bedroom with Molly and Daisy. Well all of a sudden I was just about to come into the bedroom and Tait started Yelling for me and I could hear Molly and Daisy having it out.

Molly was eating some of the dog food that was littered on the floor and Daisy was starting to have a treat as well. Well Molly attacked Daisy and Daisy was growling and barking and Molly had a hold of Daisy by the back of the neck and was not letting go. Tait was straddling Molly and had a hold of Molly and was frantically screaming and trying to get Molly to let go of Daisy… Well I come in and I tried to pry Molly off of Daisy by reaching around Daisy (the front of her) and pry Molly off, well in the mean time Daisy reached out and bit me! Well I then went to the back of Molly with Tait and I reached under Molly and started pinching and pulling Molly’s belly to get Molly to let go of Daisy. Well Molly let go of Daisy and in the mean time bit Tait on the knee, but he a hold of Molly’s head (it was kind of a mess) and we put Molly in her create and put Daisy in the other room. Well Tait and I were both kind of in shock that this had happened and we walked out into the living room Tait was limping and I was going into the kitchen for an ice pack for my bite. Well Tait put alcohol on his bite and I kept ice on mine and after about a half hour we went to bed. It was one crazy night. When I woke up the next morning my arm was still hurting and I looked down and it looked horrible. The bite had bruised my arm and I could still see the teeth marks (not to shabby for a dog with no teeth) and Tait was still limping! We were a sad sight to see. Well the dogs were totally fine with one another the food was cleaned up and everyone was okay.

On Saturday we went to Purdue for tailgating and to watch Purdue get their butts handed to them. It was a horrible game and it was sad to watch. This weekend is going to be Northwestern and I have a feeling it’s going to be another beating. YUCK! But the tailgating was a lot of fun. We of course had a ton of great food and that was a LOT of fun. Theresa watched Lehna for us so I was a little bit freer to overindulge if you will and I got a pretty good buzz which was nice. Jackie and I were both feeling really good by the time game time rolled around. Of course by the second quarter I was back to my normal self and as we were walking back to the car Tait kept telling me how annoying I was the first quarter and the walk there… but other than that I had a good time. I am hoping that next weekend is chilly b/c Tait and I would like to bring our fire pit grill thing and have hot dogs and smores for the next game, but I would like it to be a little chilly for us to bring that contraption. Which it doesn’t sound too promising, I love football games when it’s cold outside! OH and this weekend for football picks I kicked Tait’s butt. I won BOTH college and Pro picks! So that means that I’m ahead in overall points for both and Tait has to make dinner on one of my nights this week AND he had to spend one night this week with NO play station/computer and have total attention towards Lehna and I. Not that he normally doesn’t spend time with us… it’s just this will be total our time to play and stuff. I can’t wait! So hopefully next week will bring the same… VICTORY IS MINE attitude!

Sunday we headed out to the Roy’s for the weekly Colt’s game and the Colts won Yeah! So now they are 5 and 0 which is great b/c it gives us Purdue fans something to cheer for! But Lehna was great she played and played and didn’t whine the whole day. She’s become quite the mommy’s girl this weekend. She would constantly reach for me and watch me when I’m in the room making sure that I’m paying attention to her. It’s very difficult to get anything done when she does that though, b/c I feel bad for not paying attention to her!

On Monday we took Lehna for her 6 mth check up and she got three shots. Dr. Patel checked her out and said she was a very BIG girl and that she looks really healthy. She said she can still hear some wheezing due to her latest cold but she thought it would clear up in a couple of days. She’s still on the liquid steroid for a few more days and then she’ll continue her breathing treatments for twice day until November then she’ll go back to once a day. Lehna is a whooping 19 lbs 2 oz. and she is 26 ½ inches long. She said that due to her weight she’s in the 90th percentile and she’s in the 75th percentile for her length. She was impressed by Lehna’s constant on the go, busy demeanor when we where there. I told her that Lehna has been getting on all fours and rocking but we haven’t seen crawling yet and the Dr. said that normal development is 9 mths for crawling so she said she’s ahead of the game. Dr. Patel also said that by her next appointment at 9 mths she said that she is certain Lehna will be crawling if not more… so we need to get our house baby proofed as soon as possible, which it some needs work. Lehna was upset by the shots but after both Tait and I held her she stopped crying and managed to let us take her to Kroger’s and out to eat so I was happy about that. She even ate lunch really well.

Once we got home we played with Lehna some more and enjoyed the day with her. Well minus the shots of course but Lehna was a trooper and that was wonderful! She did get a little whiney as the afternoon let on and she wanted me to hold her, I would walk out of the room and Lehna would cry, or I would just walk by her and she would cry wanting me to pick her up! So at night we gave her a bottle and tried to put her to bed at 8 and she just wouldn’t give into it so as she was drifting off to sleep I decided to put her in her crib to “fall asleep on her own” and I placed her in her crib and before I had even shut the door she was crying. I let her cry for 5 mins before getting her. I know I should have let her cry more but I just couldn’t do it. So I went in and picked her up carried her to the front room and sat down in the chair and in that time she had fallen asleep she was THAT tired, she just was being stubborn. What did I expect though after having a day full of shots and being carted around everywhere… she was bound to be fussy some time! But for the most part that was our day.

I have also found out that the weekend of the 22nd in October we are going to go north and visit my mom in Wisconsin again! I’m sooooo excited! Tait said he can’t wait to see mom’s new house and check out where she lives. The original plan was that Trent and Tait were going to go to the Purdue vs. Wisconsin game while Lehna and I went to mom’s to hang out with her…. But since Purdue is just sucking all over… that may not happen and Tait and I will just visit mom. I can’t wait regardless! Okay so I should go since this post is like forever long but I will have pictures THIS week probably tomorrow b/c I need to post them for all of you Baby Hounding Monkeys!

Whiney Weekday

Whiney Weekday!

1. Dirty Dishes… Slowly the dirty dishes are starting to take over my kitchen sink, counters, and stove! The dish washer is currently clean and the dishes need put away and the dirty dishes reloaded. I have not done this for two days so now the dishes are slowly taking over my kitchen.

2. Animal hair… Yesterday I put Lehna on the floor for less then 15 mins after I picked her up I then had to spend another 10 mins just picking the animal hair from her death grip fist.

3. Empty Hangers… Why is it that I’m the ONLY adult in my house that can take the empty hangers back to the laundry room? I realize that I was the one elected to do the laundry until the end of time but why do I not only have to get the laundry clean, fold the laundry, put away the laundry… THEN take the empty hangers and dirty laundry back to the beginning of the cycle? I mean I don’t think Tait’s arms are broken… I will double check tonight, but if I don’t take them to the laundry room then they start to take over the guest room door!

4. Dirty Laundry… Why was I elected to do the laundry? I mean just because I’m a female doesn’t mean that I should automatically be elected to do the clothes… I mean after all Tait doesn’t wonder around naked? Shouldn’t he be responsible for having to do at least HALF of the clothes? And I HATE doing laundry!

5. Beginning of the Month… Yeah another month has begun and it’s another two weeks of feeling broke… Yeah! Gosh I hate bills! Actually I hate money all together!

6. Headache… I woke up with a headache this morning that I just can’t shake. Morning headaches are the worst they put me in such a GLORIOUS mood for the day!

7. Pissy People… I have run into a number of pissy people today that I would like to throw them out of the 10 story window in my building just to watch their bodies crumble on the pavement below… oh how glorious would that be!

8. Dumb Drivers… I think every dumb driver was out this morning on Washington St! I was boxed in by Dumb and Dumber and then after I finally got around them… every person and their brother wanted to SLAM on their breaks to turn right this morning! I was cursing and was not happy! Stupid People!

9. Frozen Coffee Heaven… Well normally my Mint Mocha Chip Frapachino is like the best treat ever… but apparently the ladies making my frozen heaven decided to half ass my drink and not let the ice get totally crushed… b/c I keep sipping HUGE pieces of ice down the straw! Making my frozen heaven taste kind of like it’s only half mixed… so sad 

10. I need a Pedicure… The other day I was looking at my feet and I have decided that I need a pedicure… the only problem is my feet look really horrible… so that would mean that I have to actually show my feet to a stranger… then have them work on them…. I DON’T THINK SO! Lord only knows what the lady would think if she saw me feet in the current condition they are in… so no pedicure for me… 

Happy October!

Well another weekend has left us and boy am I sad  I want the weekend to come back already and it just left! We did have a fun filled weekend and we were busy. So that in turn made the weekend FLY by!

On Saturday we headed to West Lafayette to go and tail gate for the Purdue vs. Notre Dame football game. We went to the field at 1:00, the game didn’t start until 6 but since we weren’t planning on going to the game we didn’t really care how long we were there. We were just going to for the food and some fun. Helen and Tim got on of those Bean Bag toss games (everyone has them in the tailgate areas) and we played with that. I have found that I have absolutely no talent in trying to play the bean bag game and I think I had a few people convinced that I was drunk b/c my bean bag skills were so poor. Of course I wasn’t drunk nor did I really drink much at the game others around me… not so true. I think you know who you are Heather! Let just say Heather was feeling pretty good. I wonder how she was feeling the day after?

So we all feasted on Helen’s wonderful cooking and talked and enjoyed being outside. Lehna had a good time I think. It was so nice outside and under the shade of the canopy it was so nice to have her outside. Lehna played in her pack n play, went for a few walks, she managed to catch a look at the Purdue Band, and took a nice nap. She’s pretty content where ever she is so it wasn’t a bad day. There was a group of guys that we pretty smashed a few tailgating spots down from us and they provided much of the entertainment for us. They were wrestling on the ground and walking along the bed of their trucks singing and chanting various things it was funny. We only got a little scared when they started tossing the football around and were not doing a very good job b/c the ball kept bouncing into other people’s camps. But all in all it was a good time. Of course this was all BEFORE the game started, once the game started then it wasn’t very much fun. Lehna crashed about 7 ish and so we started walking back to Tanna’s apartment b/c they left the minivan for the people that went to the game. So as we were walking back Tait and Tanna ranted and raved about how horrible the game was going, and the players. It was quite a pleasant walk. Once we got in the car and headed out of Lafayette Tait was angrily listening to the game and grumbling… finally he got fed up enough to turn the game off. So we listened to 80’s music the rest of the way home. IT WAS SOOOO MUCH FUN! LOL Actually it wasn’t too bad I’m glad Trent wasn’t with us… I can only imagine what kind of a mood he was displaying, Tait was bad enough. After we got home we put Lehna in bed and Tait kept flipping the game back on and would get mad and flip it off. It was kind of entertaining. I kept telling him to turn it off and not watch it… but he didn’t listen… I think he likes torture. So that was SATURDAY night!

On Sunday we polished up the house for the Colt’s game on Sunday. We had a house full of people and it was soooooo much fun! It was so worth cleaning the house and getting ready for everyone! Jackie entertained Lehna so that was a great break for us. Thank you Jackie! We had really good hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill with chips and a VERY yummy chocolate chip cake! (I didn’t make the hamburgers this week we bought them already in patties, not to have a repeat of LAST weekend!) It was a nice time. The Colt’s won if you didn’t know it was GREAT! It was actually a higher scoring game too so that made it even better! So it was nice that one of our teams pulled through for us! Oh and the Tally… I won the Big 10 teams this week and Tait won the NFL picks. So Tait has to give me a back massage for a half hour… and I have to give him one! Darn it! Just once I’d like to win BOTH but one is better than none I guess!

Lehna was having some minor digestive issues on Saturday and after a full day and a half with no BM I decided to take action and give the poor girl some prunes… let’s just say Lehna is back to working order. Lehna got a mid-afternoon bath during the Colt’s game!

As far as big plans for the week we really don’t have much going on this week. Just normal work and such YEAH my favorite! I do have to go to the grocery store once this week to pick up more baby food and lunch stuff… but that’s as exciting as I get. I know I’m BORING!

Next weekend it’s the Iowa game and Theresa is going to watch Lehna. I know she’s very excited about it. Well at least I hope she’s excited about it. So it should be a good time. It’s funny every time Purdue doesn’t do well the boys in my family always talk about how they aren’t going to get season tickets next year and blah blah blah… every year… the same old story. It’s kind of amusing and after this game the talk of not getting tickets was again tossed around, but I know for a fact that they would HATE not being able to go to the games! Boys they are so silly sometimes… but when you look forward to this EVERY year… Poor Tait… I think he’ll pull through. Okay well that’s all I got for right now. I know I don’t have pictures on this post… but hopefully through out the week I can get some up. Lehna’s not feeling 100% right now she has a little sniffle… too much fresh air I guess! Or it’s those WONDERFUL Sick Gods that are sprinkling us with their magic pixy dust once again.

Whiney Weekday

Who’s up for another round of whines for the week? I am I am… Okay so maybe you don’t share the same excitement that I do for my whines!

1. Manpower… The jerks are on my list. I finally heard back from them after 6 weeks of waiting and surprise surprise I didn’t get the job. I’m EXEREMY disappointed. Please don’t send me sympathy!

2. Weather… What’s up with the weather? Yesterday it was clearly nice tee shirt and Capri type weather and today its sweater with jeans and I heard this weekend it’s supposed to be back in the 70’s… We woke up to 40 degree weather this morning! YIKES can we say sniffle sniffle from all the colds that we will surely be blessed with!

3. Gas Prices… So I don’t understand b/c the threat of Rita hitting the shores of Texas… everyone went like crazy people to fill up their tanks… and the prices didn’t rise… well THIS week gas has already risen to $2.86 and at one gas station it was $3.05 what’s up with that? I mean the oil refineries said that they only received “minimal” damage… come on people get your stories straight… if it was minimal why the heck are gas prices rising?

4. Cleaning… Yeah I know I whine about this a lot but Tait and I are hosting the Colt’s game this Sunday and the cleaning that we did last weekend has been destroyed by us LIVING in our house… so on Saturday it will be another exciting day of cleaning! I told Tait we should have moved to a hotel for the week!

5. Sleeping… Now I don’t know what’s up with me lately but Daisy and the baby are sleeping through the night soundly I normally don’t hear a peep! But last night I woke up at 2 in the morning and was WIDE awake. I kept worrying about this bill we got last night… it was a normal monthly bill that’s what didn’t make any sense… So I got up and walked into the living room and read the bill over and over like an OCD person… I really don’t have OCD promise. Finally at 3 I fell back asleep and at 6 when the alarm when of I could definitely tell I missed out on that hour of sleep. What the heck is the matter with my brain?

6. Headaches… Why is it when you are sleeping and you wake up with a headache those headaches is the WORST type? You know they are the type that just sit on you temples and it feels like a little man is just jumping up and down and scream very loudly at a pitch you can barely stand. That has happened to me twice this week and I can’t seem to shake them!

7. Monthly Bills… Did you know that October starts on Saturday? That means the monthly bills start alllllll over again. Yeah another 2 weeks of feeling broke, that’s my favorite time!

8. Laundry… I want you all to know that I have been doing laundry every night this week. But I was looking at the hamper and it doesn’t even look like I’ve made a dent.

9. Baby Sizing… Well I ordered Lehna’s Halloween costume and the sizes said from 6-12 months… Well I thought okay she’s 6 month so I won’t get the 3-6 month size b/c that will be really too small… So it came in and I swear LANDYN could fit in it… It’s HUGE! Tait said we could roll the sleeves and stuff… but I don’t know the body of the outfit is huge… she be lost in it… so I am going to have to come up with an alternative solution. You’d think the sizing chart would say… for Giant 6 month old babies!

10. The Help Wizard… You know the little friendly guy that helps you on Microsoft Word. Well I selected the Wizard thinking he was cute. Well the other day I was trying to find out how to merge a document when I was typing for his wizardly advice when he kept saying “Please ask again, please ask again” I mean… he’s a wizard why doesn’t he understand… he’s magical and can create spells out of then air so why doesn’t he understand when I type “Mail Merge Document with Shipping labels” I mean there are lots of words there that he could have found SOMETHING with. Stupid Wizard!

Okay that's all I got... have a great weekend everyone!

I was tagged by Sarah Aka Mommy2Aubree

List five weird/strange/gross habits I have.

1. I like to put Arby's French Fries down the straw of my Milk Shake and drink it.

2. When I eat I only eat one thing at a time... example if I have mashed potatoes, corn, and steak on my plate... I will first eat the mashed potatoes.. then eat the corn... I don't mix my food bites when I eat. I know I'm strange.

Welcome back to another work week.

Well another weekend has pasted us by. I have to say WELCOME BACK KRIS AND CHRISTINA! I know they just returned from a weeks worth of vacation in Pennsylvania. The worst part about vacation is probably the third day back…Why? Well the first day you are getting caught up on all the things that have happened such as the latest gossip, who’s sleeping with who, who got drunk and said what, and all that jazz… then the second day is getting caught up on all the work that has been missed… then the third day… you finally unwind you’re almost caught up and you notice HEY IT’S ONLY WEDNESDAY! Yep that’s right still two more horrible days to go! It’s horrible… hate it! But if I didn’t work I’d probably hate that too… I know there’s just no pleasing me!

Well this weekend we were pretty quiet around our house. We cleaned up the house for some ol’ fashion football watching on Saturday. We watched Purdue get beat by Minnesota… they were the underdog and well they fought back in the last quarter… even managed to get to Over Time… but managed to lose it in Over time. Needless to say it was pretty gloomy around our house Saturday. But we did have some good food. We had hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill. I was making the hamburgers into patties and I have discovered that when doing this by hand you need to double or even triple what you think would be a “good” size hamburger b/c my hamburgers were very small and you needed two of them to fit one bun. DON’T YOU HATE THAT! I am definitely NOT an Iron Chef! So everyone ate them and that’s all that mattered. In fact I even brought them for lunch today! YUMMMMMMY! Can’t wait until lunch… of course it’s only 10 LOL I have awhile until lunch!

Lehna got LOTS of floor time this weekend. We put her on the floor to see if we could “teach” her how to crawl and she did get up on all fours once (by herself) and rocked once… then did the superman to her tummy. That was all the “crawling” we saw. She did however manage to roll all over.

On Sunday we went to Emily and Aaron’s to watch the COLT’S football game. We had a good time there overall… it was nice to see one of our teams win. Lehna got to see her best friends Madison and Tyler. Lehna played on the floor which Tait and I watched the game. She still didn’t crawl. She did however get VERY fussy towards the end. But I have discovered a little bump on her bottom gums… I think she’s getting a tooth! So I gave her Oral Gel and Tylenol and let me tell you that child was SOOOO much happier after that! So after the game I dropped Tait off so he could get his Scooby Doo hair style trimmed back to “normal” it was pretty long and I went shopping at Wal-mart for scrape booking supplies. I knew I was out of 10x10 pages so I picked up a pack of 100 sheets and some other fun stamps and then I headed over to get some picture frames for Lehna’s pictures THEN I went to the baby isles to get some learning toys of Lehna. I was VERY disappointed by the selection… then it dawned on me that the baby toys I was looking for were actually in the toy department. So I was off there. After getting LOTS of development toys and “bigger” toys for Lehna it was time to check out. I may have gone a little crazy… but what I can do I’m excited she wants to play with toys!

So after I picked Tait up we went back home and I got all of Lehna’s new toys out for her to play with. It was so fun watching her manipulate the blocks and rings I had a good time just watching her. She decided the container for the blocks was LOTS more fun playing with then the actual blocks but that happens. And of course I DIDN’T take pictures… b/c I suck! I was telling Tait that I probably should have held some of the toys back for Christmas… but heck who cares she’s only little once!

So after awhile I had an itching to do some scrape booking and I passed Lehna to Tait and I did some much needed scrap book time. I managed to get 4 pages completed and I have enough stuff to do another page. So I’m excited about that. I found some EXCELLENT pictures that I want to scan in so I have them forever on disk but I want to be able to put them in the scrap book… and since my printer sucks I have to take whatever pictures I can take! I am going to work on it off and on but I need to get a few more ideas of what to put on them, but I’m sure something will come along! I need to get my printer working again and print off pictures onto paper… I think I like it much better working with paper then photo paper, and the results are about the same, but that sounds like a lot more effort… and again I SUCK and I’m FREAKING lazy!

But after about 1 hour of scrape booking Lehna decided that she wanted me… she was crying and just reaching towards me and Tait kept saying “I think she wants you” so I couldn’t say no to a crying baby… the poor girl her mouth hurts. So I played with her for about 45 mins and then I started the bedtime routine. I have to say that Lehna is now falling asleep in her bed by herself at night. I’m so excited of course we just started this routine and with her teething the success maybe short lived… but you know it was nice THIS week!

Lehna’s cough is also much better now the liquid steroid really helped tremendously we have one more treatment of it tonight and then she’ll be done, but if she gets the cough again the doctor said to call him and he’ll prescribe something for her! YEAH! So I’m happy about that!

Well that’s about it as far as my weekend update. Tait and I are going on a Mini Date tonight so I’m very excited. Tanna has agreed to baby sit Lehna while we go out to eat. I’m excited! I was talking to Chris about finding a “local” babysitter and she suggested another one of our friend’s daughters and she’s conveniently placed in our city!!! Soooo I think that the next movie I want to see I will be calling her! YEAH! Alright well I think that’s all I have for now… Oh Marcus talked to Daniel this weekend he’s doing really well and he’s having a great time! So I’m glad to hear that! Okay well that’s all I got!

News from my friends from CHICAGO

I have a dear friend that I made about 3-4 years ago when I first started going to Purdue University. Most of you know that my I hated my first semester at Purdue because I thought everyone was rude and incredibly stuck up and I was longing for the closeness of USI from which I came. Well as the first few weeks rolled by I started talking to Jennifer in my Black and White photography class at Purdue and we started talking and quickly became fast friends. Well Jen and I had many things in common she was a Communications Major and Photography Minor and I was a double Major in Communications and Photography. And we had this VERY obnoxious girl in our Photography class who I dubbed "gorilla woman" (she was incredibly hairy) and we both didn't like her b/c she was freaking annoying. (There were other things in common as well) Well Jen and I kept having classes together and it was great because Jen and I would study for tests together and do projects with one another and it was really just wonderful being able to become friends with her. So even though I graduated and so has Jen, Jen and I have still kept in contact with one another. Emailing, calling, and visiting when we can just to keep in touch. Well just recently (very recently) her boyfriend, who I meet when we were at Purdue, proposed to Jen and Jen very HAPPILY accepted. I asked her to tell me the story and quite simply I don't think that anyone could tell her quite as well as she can... so I'm going to copy it out of the email she sent me...

We went to a White Sox game last night with a bunch of my friends and their significant others. We were sitting, watching the game and he kept bugging me to go get ice cream or cotton candy with him. Finally I went and I bought him cotton candy. As we were walking back to our seats he said "Reach in my pocket and pull out some change for the cotton candy". I pulled out a black cloth and thought "you keep your change in this? Here you go". He wanted me to open it, but figured he would just open it. This whole time he was asking me "how much do you love me?" It's a game we play and I usually answer something like 1 million swedish fish, but for some reason I answered forever. Then he asked "even when I'm old and fat?" and I of course said yes. Then he asked "are you sure forever?" as he was getting down on his knees opening the black cloth to reveal the ring. I was just SOOOO shocked!!! I was not expecting it at all. Just earlier that day I was talking to my friend Sarah saying I don't know when it's going to happen, I would just like to have some kind of idea. How funny, huh? Just when I least expect it. He asked me at the Sox game because a lot of my friends were there and he thought I would have liked them to be there. So after we had our moment, we went back to our seats and everyone started freaking out when I showed them my hand. It was really great.

So both Tait and I are incredibly excited for her and we both wish Nick and Jen the best. So now I can finally stop asking "are you engaged yet?" I know Jen is thrilled about that! Well here are some pictures of them and the ring. Take care, you too crazy love birds! I can't wait to see you in OCTOBER!

Congratulations Nick and Jen!

LEHNA'S 6 MONTH PHOTO SHOOT

Well as promised I managed to get Lehna's 6 month pictures scanned and reformated so I could put them up on the web. I hope you enjoy. It's amazing just how FAST she is changing... Enjoy!

This is the face Lehna normally makes when the camera comes out!

This was the RARE occasion that we actually "captured" a smile!

This is the picture that Jackie scammed the lady out of at Wal-mart. Originally the picture had the lady's hair in the picture but Jackie convinced the lady that she would have only gotten that picture but since it had her hair in the picture she didn't want it... Then the lady offered it to her for FREE and Jackie said "okay"... Little did the lady know that's the picture Jackie LOVED and she was almost willing to pay the $20 buck for it! Sneaking Aunt Jackie!

Whinney Weekday

Okay it’s time for another round of whines for the week. I hope you enjoy!

1. Daisy… Last night the retardo dog woke me up AGAIN! This time she woke up and I put her outside and she literally was out there for like 30 seconds then started to whine to come in… mind you it was Early O’clock in the morning so I let her in… well not two hours later she was whining to go out AGAIN! So I get up put her outside… this time it was POURING DOWN RAIN… I still pushed her outside and said “enjoy dumb dumb” So after I put her back in her crate, soaking wet (hehehe), she still never laid down and went back too sleep… GRRRRR Free Dog! Anyone want a beagle?

2. Sounding like an Idiot…Why is it when you think your kid is going to act one way they completely surprise you and you end up sounding like a FREAK? Lehna is taking a Liquid Steroid to get rid of her cough well when we gave her the medicine she vomited ALLLLLL OVER Tait. Well I tried to tell them at daycare that she will probably throw up and don’t be surprised and be prepared. And so they gave her a dose and I asked Penny how it went… Penny said it went GREAT! She took it no problem no spit up no nothing… ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So in the end I just sounded like an idiot… again!

3. Lack of Planning… Well this week there was some investors coming in and well they didn’t tell me until an hour before the investors were due in that they wanted the pop upstairs refilled… so I had to go huffing it 3 blocks, in platform shoes, to get the precious pop machine filled in an hour! Why didn’t they tell me YESTERDAY that there were investors I could have PLANNNNNNNNED and NOT wore platform shoes!!

4. Stupid People… Our office building elevator was having some major issues. Well I pushed the button to go up and was patiently waiting for the elevator to return to my floor. While I was standing their two other people, at different times, came in and PUSHED THE BUTTON, I guess they thought that I was just standing there for my health… I guess they thought if everyone pushed the button then the elevator would come faster!

5. Platform shoes… Okay Tanna this one is for you. Now I LOVE being tall and platform shoes make me feel that way (that’s what happens when you’re short!) but man they are KILLER on my feet. I wore platforms today and I think that I may have to amputate my feet when I get home to end the suffering. But I don’t think the walking to get pop helped too much!

6. Sleepiness… So this morning I was driving Tait and Lehna, to daycare and work when the radio was blaring and I was at a stop sign. I was thinking that I wanted the radio to be turned down; well I turned on my turn signal to do this… Tait then asked me “Where are you going, are you taking a new route today?” LOL I told him that I wanted the radio to be quite and I thought turning on the turn signal would accomplish this… he just kind of looked at me like I was nuts… I said that I was tried… he said “Maybe I should drive.” Oppps. I tell you my brain malfunctions ONE time and he thinks that I was incapable of driving.

7. Litter Boxes… It’s that wonderful time of the week again to change the kitty boxes! I’ve given up trying to get Tait to do it this week. All weekend I was trying to get him to do it and it was always, “I’ll do it later” response well it’s time to do it… The Tiger Monster is started to eye my shoes and personally I don’t want my shoes to smell like Kitty Pee!

8. Baby Food… Lehna tried Creamed Spinach for the first time yesterday and from what I hear she really enjoyed it. But not only was it all over the front of her shirt but she had managed to get it all over the back of her shirt, in her hair, in her ear, up her nose, and on her feet! When I asked Penny about it she said that she thought she had cleaned it all off she said that when she was feeding Lehna she seemed not to be too messy… I’m thinking that Lehna was trying to put the spinach in her napkin, or feed the dog and she forgot that she didn’t have those options so she did alternate places. I can’t decide whether to send more spinach or not.

9. Dinner Plan… Why is it on Tait’s night to cook dinner I can think of like 50 million different things that I could make for dinner? Then on my nights I draw a total blank. Tonight is my night and I don’t have the faintest idea what I’m going to make. Boy I wish I had a maid… just like the one on the Brady Bunch someone to clean my house and cook for my family… wouldn’t that be heaven!

10. The Golden Reimbursement check… This is seriously like the golden ticket in the Willy Wanka Chocolate bars. I keep hearing that we are supposed to be getting a travel reimbursement from the state of Indiana for Tait and his weekly travels back and forth from home to IUPUI but he has been in training for 8 weeks and we still haven’t received ONE check yet. So it’s become like the big joke in our house about getting the golden check. It’s quite a large sum of money and every time Tait and I talk about it we have a different plan on what we are going to do with it… it sounds like we are going to be responsible and pay bills, that is of course if we ever see it, but it’s usually the conversation of our normal drive time home chatter is betting whether or not the check will be at the post office we have dubbed it “the disappointment of the day,” to help lighten the mood.

Well that's all I got this week. I hope you all have a great weekend!

A trip around the world and we returned unharmed…

Okay so maybe it wasn’t around the world but we were around Central Indiana again this weekend! On Saturday Lehna and I headed to Indianapolis for a last minute plan to visit the Indianapolis Zoo with Aunt Jackie. We first went out to eat and that was yummy and then we headed to Once Upon a Child for some Baby Jeans… and let me tell you I found 5 CUTE pairs… all under $4 wow can’t beat that! And I also found some matching tee shirts to go with them… Man I LOVE that store! We also found a VERY cute white dress for our family pictures coming up in November I’m VERY excited about it!!!! I now have two dresses for the two sessions I’m going to be doing… again scamming Wal-mart but oh well. So I can’t wait! So we headed to the zoo about 1 ish… The zoo was packed on top of it being a nice 78 degree day it was BEAUTIFUL outside!! The zoo had lots of people but Jackie and I stayed away from all the buildings exhibits and that DEFINTELY helped the crowded factor of the journey.

We went to see the Walruses and I have to tell you I was about to TROTTLE the little teeny bobber volunteer. The baby walrus was right next to the glass kissing the glass and play “around” Well she was tapping on the glass getting the walrus to come over and kiss the glass and blow bubbles, well she was basically just standing in front of the glass section just standing their asking repeatedly if anyone had any questions which of course no one did they wanted to SEE the walrus but couldn’t b/c she was in the way… Well I started tapping on the glass and the walrus started to come towards our direction and did for about 30 seconds before the “volunteer” started tapping on the glass and pulled its attention away from our section… I mean there were TONS of freaking people that were trying to see the walrus but couldn’t b/c of her… The other adult volunteer stood up on the stands over everyone but at least she was OUT OF THE WAY!!! So Jackie and I left after that I was not impressed by the teeny bobber volunteer!

We decided to get tickets for the train so Lehna could see all the animals. Well our wait wasn’t too bad it was nice to have Lehna outside. So we got on the train and I have to tell you the train was HILARIOUS! First of all there is this commentary between Jean the Giraffe and Elly the Elephant that was cheesy but hey kids love it. But the train “ride” was well VERY funny. You go by the giraffes and zebras which was fun and they make this announcement, this is basically a summary of the announcement, “Our train ride used to go down to many different exhibits of the zoo but it doesn’t anymore but it now goes to the “restricted area” of the zoo” LOL Well the train wound through to were you could see the “zoo fueling station,” literally a gas pump, the “Transportation dock for new animals,” a big fenced in area that you couldn’t see into, “the recycling area” BIG dumpsters, and the “veterinary center” this was the crazy part they had these BIG pictures of animals that were like mid surgery but they had like the breathing tubes in the mouths to assist them to breath… kind of interesting but not appropriate for a little kid ride… It also had LOTS of buildings that you could only see behind them. But apparently LOTS of children love this ride which I understand but it’s a little cheesy for $2 a person… But the ride cracked me up. I’m sure we will take Lehna on it again once she gets bigger it was just funny. We also have extra tickets for the caracole for next visit. But it was funny and we did enjoy ourselves. Here are some pictures of the trip around the zoo.

This is an elephant I know he has a name but I don’t remember nor do I remember if this was male of female… I forgot… I suck

These baboons were HILAROUS we watched them for quite a long time. The baby was so cute.

And what would a trip to the zoo be without a picture of the giraffes.

Lehna and her favorite “toy” Aunt Jackie

Lehna and her mommy

On Sunday we headed to Williamsport to visit The Wagner’s. We arrived pretty early because he had plans for the Colt’s game. Tonya, Anthony, Jake, and Tylee (I know that’s not spelled right), came down to visit with us and see Lehna. Jake was sooo cute. He kept coming over to Lehna and giving her big kisses and hugs the whole time we were there and kept asking Tonya if he could hold her. Tonya finally gave in and let Jake hold Lehna and Lehna just grabbed his cheeks and lips and Jake just laughed it was VERY cute. At one point Tait asked Jake (pointing to Lehna) what her name was and Jake said “this is My Lehna” it was so funny. But Anthony was putting Lehna’s bottle on the table and Jake went over to him and said “No daddy you can’t have that that’s My Lehna’s bottle not yours” it was very sweet. Tylee is getting so big she is the same age as Landyn (actual born on the same day and everything) but she was too funny. She kept walking over to the baby and would just smile then walk over to me and smile, it was pretty sweet. She was VERY friendly she didn’t care who picked her up or anything she was just a very social child. Below are some pictures of Grandma and Grandpa both holding Lehna.

Grandma Wagner holding Lehna

Grandpa Wagner holding Lehna
(Grandpa didn’t want to hold her b/c of his arm but Grandma insisted, which he of course did fine)
Jake, Tonya, and Lehna

After our short visit we went to watch the Colt’s win against Jacksonville, Sorry Sarah. It was a rough game for the Colt’s though I wasn’t sure they were going to pull it off. Oh and Tait and I have started a little game in which we try and guess who’s going to win the games… well after the first week Tait won both sections of the Pro team and Big 10. I did pretty well choosing but my double shocks KILLLLLLED me! Darn it! Stupid Norte Dame and Stupid Raiders! If one of them would have pulled through I would have WON ONE of the serious!! Oh well… well hopefully I’ll do better next week.

I’m hoping to put Lehna’s pictures up for her photo shoot VERY soon. I hope to have them up by tomorrow. Okay well that’s all I have for now…

Just for the Record!

Okay so I did my weekly whine yesterday but when I tried to post it... the Blogger site was down... so it was done on Wedensday! Also Tanna got Lehna the CUTEST outfit and I wanted to show everyone. Isn't it cute?

Sitting Pretty!

Also Lehna is now becoming more vocal she made a new sound last night she can now make the trumpet sound like an elephant. She learned how to do it last night after smacking her lips together like an old man. It was pretty cute and VERY loud. Also she is starting to learn how to crawl very slowly of course. She can scoot backwards and turn all the way around but she still can't figure out how to do it forwards. Penny said she thinks by the end of September she will be crawling forward. Tait said by the end of next week he thinks she'll be crawling, me I'm not sure I really don't want her mobile yet so she can take her time. But anyways enjoy the Whiney Weekday!

Whiney Weekday!

Welcome to another week of Whiney Weekday the time I take to publicly whine all my private trials away!

1. Kitty Pee… Yep it’s on here again. This time we have eliminated the kitty pee in the dirty clothes but he’s now peeing on our shoes? How does one correct this when you aren’t home during the day? Of course he is on a one more time basis and if he does it again he’s going to be a permanent outside kitty cat!

2. Change of Seasons Cold Bug… Yes the wonderful cold bug has spread its magical pixy dust in our direction. So we all our suffering for the cough, congested sinus, headache, and body aches. Oh the change in seasons is a MIRACLE OF LIFE!

3. The Sock Monster… I don’t know about you but lately the sock monster has been eating up soooooo many of our socks. I swear I have about 50 new single socks and no matches to be found anywhere. I guess it’s time to spray again!

4. The Age of Patience… For those of you that know me my patience level is really VERY low and I am patiently trying to wait for a call from Manpower and I haven’t heard anything back yet! They said one to two weeks and this is the beginning of the second week… please call me back people!!!! I can’t take this type of waiting!

5. More Patience…. I finally talked to someone from Manpower today and well they told me that the position that we talked about in the interview, the supervisor position, is just now going to be to the public and I’m still a leading candidate for the position, which means MORE WAITING… such anxiety! She said she probably wouldn’t have the position fully filled for another 2-3 weeks… (((Sigh))) But I did mention to her that I hope that after the open resume collection that I am still in the lead for the position and she said “I hope so too” so I hope that’s something… I really don’t want to read too much into it! I think it’s a BIT late for that! (sigh) So once again I am thinking positive again!

6. Baby Diapers… Lehna’s room is starting to smell like old gym socks and it’s coming from her diaper pail. We empty the pail all the time but I am thinking that we may have to start washing it out… not that we get the crap (LOL) all over the trash can I just think the pail just smells of dirty baby diapers, YUCK!

7. Fleas… The animals have FLEAS AGAIN! Again we are on the endless battle of fighting the dumb fleas. Friends of ours had to finally call the Oren man to come out and spray… I really don’t want to do that… but it’s starting to look like a viable option to get rid of them forever! I hate fleas!

8. Baby Monitors… Why is it that baby monitors take batteries? I understand that you move them from room to room and sure having batteries would be nice on occasion when you do that… but why isn’t there like an adaptor hole for the monitor that you carry from room to room so when you put it in your bedroom at night you don’t have to worry if the batteries go out in the middle of the night… like last night!

9. Mowing the lawn… Well it’s that time again. We had a break last week b/c it was so freaking hot but it looks like this weekend we are going to have to mow the yard. At least it won’t be so hot here.

10. Laundry… Well I can now check up on all my laundry but I actually have no motivation whatsoever so now I have a continuously growing mound of clothes with no desire to start washing them!

Big Smile!

Hail! Hail! To Old Purdue all hail to the old gold and black….

IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN SPORTS FANS!

Boy it was all a bustle at my house this weekend! Purdue football on Saturday complete with Tailgating then on Sunday Colt’s football! And surprisingly enough both of my teams won YEAH! Although I have to admit I didn’t stay awake for the conclusion of the Colt’s game I briefly remember waking up and getting the score from Tait but I didn’t even know what he said…

Let’s Go BOILERS!

So on Saturday we headed to West Lafayette for some good old fashion tailgating and football watching. It was GREAT we had breakfast with eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage! Then after the game we had burgers and chicken! It was a GREAT day for me!!!!!! I love to eat… can you tell? So I have to tell you I had about 2 beers and a bottle of Boone’s well I finished off the Boone’s in like 30 mins… and I was a little dizzy but that was about it… I really didn’t want to get to drunk since the baby was with us. But here are some pictures of the Tailgating party!

I love my aunt Jackie, and my fingers!

So on Sunday we did some MUCH needed cleaning. I was doing really well most of the morning with cleaning I was organizing book shelves and everything else and had just starting getting the kitchen clean and then Kris and Christina called and said they were on their way to bring the washer! YEAH A NEW WASHER! But my house was only HALF DONE! So at that point I pushed into to HIGH gear and quickly finished the rest of the house… of course Tait helped. We put the baby in the hallway so she could see us both and I cleaned the bathroom and Tait swept… it worked pretty well for the most part. Soooo we put in the WONDERFUL washer and it runs and doesn’t leak water all over my floor… THANK YOU CHRISTINA AND KRIS! It’s great having a washer again! It’s even better when I don’t have to pay anything. So we put our piece of crap in the garage, maybe one day we’ll get it fixed who knows… it’s just a piece of crap… I think I’m going to write the company b/c it’s so ridiculous! But I’ll save my rants for the letter.

Sunday evening we went to Chris and Rob’s house to watch the football game. I made some white chocolate macadamia nut cookies it was the kind that you just scoop our and bake… of course I didn’t “hand” make it… right! They were a big hit we left at the half time since Lehna had fallen asleep and I was really tired from all that cleaning in the morning! It was nice seeing the Roy’s family, they actually had some other friends there and it was nice being able to meet some other people that had kids so we could talk. Carrie and Neal have a 2 year old daughter named Ryan and she is SUCH a cutie pie! She was playing with Tyler (Rob and Chris’ 4 year old), and at one point they were in Tyler’s room with the door shut, and a blanket over them and they were asking to have the light shut off. LOL you should have seen Neal’s face… too funnnnny! After that they were told to go to the front room. Purely innocent but it was funny. But Neal and Carrie are going to be having a baby boy on today they are having a scheduled C-Section. Both of them are REALLY nice so it was fun, so I’m sure we’ll see them again. I told Tait it’s like we are living off of other people’s friends… but what else can when we do when we really don't have the opportunity to meet new friends. After all this isn’t college anymore where new people are around all the time. I know we are sad  Madison (Chris and Rob’s new baby) is doing GREAT by the way. Her scar is pretty non existent and she is now a whooping 8 lbs! ALMOST half the size of Lehna. She’s a whooping 18 lbs!

Lehna Behna is doing great by the way. We are starting to give her, her medication on a more “regular” basis (reflux medicine) I always forget. She has been spitting up a bit but she also has the cough that’s been going around so it’s not too much of a concern right now.

Penny who watches Lehna at daycare told me about another baby’s mommy in Lehna’s class named Madyson that she’s worried about her daughter because Lehna seems to be so far ahead of Madyson. Penny told her that Lehna started picking up on things because of Luke and it won’t be long before Madyson will be doing the same things Lehna is, Penny told me she was very concerned but she kept trying to tell her that she was really fine and that Madyson was developing on a fine schedule. But she told Penny that she wanted Lehna and Madyson paired up all the time so Madyson can watch Lehna and learn from her. It’s kind of nice to know that Lehna is such a leader, but I’m sure it’s b/c she’s just imitating Luke. Lehna and Luke are best buddies. Lehna is always watching Luke no matter where he is… especially at lunch and breakfast time and Lehna is always trying to do everything Luke does.

The other day Penny was telling me that Lehna was in the exosauser and Luke crawled over to it and was pulling himself up and just as Luke was standing up, Lehna would jump in the exosauser and it would then knock Luke over. Penny said Luke would give Lehna a really mad face and then Lehna would sit still and Luke would try again and Lehna would wait again until he was almost standing then knock him down again. Penny said Lehna would just laugh and smile at him. She’s such a rat. It's funny that she’s a bully in one situation then a leader in another silly girl!
