Hear Ye Hear Ye!

Tis time for another update. I know you are all excited.

I have to tell you it has been busy around our home right now. Last week flew by with such speed it was amazing.

I do have to take a moment to brag about my husband. Last week when I went to Young Women for Personal Progress Night Lehna came up to me and told me that they were going to cut out hearts. So then Tait quickly said “Lehna you aren’t supposed to tell her” It was VERY sweet, so I figured that they were going to do some kind of “project” when I was at Young Women’s well when I came home. Tait had hung hearts from the ceiling with different sayings on them that went from the front door clear back to our bedroom door. The message basically said “Sometimes I forget to tell you all the reasons why I love you, so tonight I wanted to remind you” Then when I opened the door there was 61 different hearts hanging from the ceiling with different reasons as to why Tait loves me. It was so very nice. One of the most rewarding parts was Lehna and Maya just watching my reaction. Lehna was jumping up and down and laughing going “does this make you happy mommy?” It was VERY sweet. Maya was just waving her arms probably b/c Lehna was so excited, but it was very nice. It was a nice gesture that Tait did for me. Lehna of course helped Tait cut out the hearts and colored on some for me it was so nice. I saved all the hearts so I could put them in my special scrapbook. I took a pictures of it too.

We also managed to work outside getting our bushes and side “garden” back into some shape. I had weeds so tall in that flower bed they were past the window! I don’t go on that side of the house very often so that’s why it looked so horrible.

Well another week had come to a close and I didn’t get this up before it became stale so it’s an update w/in an update! Yeah!

So this past week really didn’t go by very quickly. Tait had the day off on Monday so he asked me if I would take the day off so we could spend some time together. So I did. We went to play golf at the Turkey Run Golf course and it was really a challenging course. I’m glad we had a cart, we talked about walking but BOY my feet would have been hurting if we would have done that there were a TON of hills. I don’t think that my feet would have been able to play all 18 holes! We had a really nice time though. We had lunch downtown Crawfordsville and then picked up the girls early from daycare (long enough for them to have a nap of course) then we had an early dinner. It was really a nice day. But that made the week crawl by I think it’s b/c I only had to work 4 days.

So this weekend we went to the covered bridge festival. It’s a HUGE festival in Parke County. Well we went to Rockville and let me tell you I was a bit disappointed. I just kept thinking “this is what people get so excited about every year?” there was lots of booths and stuff for you to by like crafts and painted wooden lawn ornaments but we didn’t need anything like that. So we walked up and down the streets for awhile and we saw this booth for hamburgers for 2.75 a piece… so I thought that sounded like a deal since everything else was more expensive. Well let me tell you it WASN’T A DEAL! It was horrible… So after that we were even more disappointed. Well Tait said that there was a police officer who recommended us going down to Bridgetown b/c it was a lot of fun. So Tait and I thought what the heck we mine as well try that town out. So we drove down a little farther south and wow let me tell you it was MUCH BETTER. It was really PACKED with people and you walked across this really big covered bridge and you walked into like this village full of little booths and such. It was really quite a cool thing. there were TONS of food booths I mean you could get anything from Homemade Ice cream to Chinese food. It was really amazing. There wasn’t any like games or anything like that just tons of food booths. It was really cool. We got Lehna some chocolate Ice cream and we got some Kettle corn and then we shared some butterfly potatoes but Maya knocked over half of them on the ground so we didn’t have too many of them… and then we shared a Funnel cake it was really good. It was really packed and they had pebble gravel making it hard to push a stroller through but we had a good time. We probably walked for about 3 hours and Tait and I agree we stayed about a ½ too long by the time we got to the car Lehna was done listening and Maya was ready for her nap. It was really a great time though. I told Tait next year let’s by pass Rockville and go straight there! So I definitely recommend the Covered Bridge Festival. I had never been there and we have lived in this area for 5 ½ years!

Some really cool news! I lost another 5 lbs this week! (this was on Friday before the festival) so I am only 3 lbs away from hitting on of my MAJOR landmarks… I have lost a total 21 lbs! I have decided to add my weight loss ticker on the screen as you can see on the right. I have decided that maybe making it public knowledge that will help me stay motivated. I wasn’t too good on the exercise bus on Sunday we walked and I tried to remember all the palaties exercises but I couldn’t remember half of them… so that kind of sucked. So this is the start of the new week I’m getting back on the fitness bus and hopefully hitting my first landmark! Keep me in your thoughts b/c I’m going to need some happy thoughts!!!!

Let me see what else is going one right now. That is really all right now. We don’t have any big plans yet for this weekend but it’s Monday so who knows what will happen between now and Friday.
