Here’s a weekly update! Don’t you love weekly updates. I know I do!
Here’s what is going on in our lives. Well this weekend we had lots of things going on we went to Jackie and Marcus’ for Kris’ Birthday Bash. Lehna was really good the whole time. She got whinny when it was time to go but it was night night time and she hadn’t eaten yet so that played a big part in that. So on the way home I stopped and got McDonalds and she ate really well she had a plain cheese burger and I was AMAZED on how much she ate and this kid wolfed down the pizza earlier in the day so it was AMAZING! So I watched Lehna and Zach while everyone else played games and that was interesting. It was a little taste of what it’s going to be like in a couple of months! Scary that’s all I have to say! I told Tait that we won’t be going anywhere w/out one another! I can’t imagine what it would be like trying to go shopping or any other activity for the most part by my self with TWO! NO WAY! So we had a good time eating birthday cake and wolfing down pizza. We watched the Purdue game and well that was a disappointment but that’s pretty typical lately.
On Sunday boy did I have a good time Tait and I worked in Lehna’s “new” room and we got through sooooo much crap! We still have some to go through but we did make some MAJOR headway! We were able to get all the way through the closet and put all of Lehna’s clothes in space totes… they weren’t like fab but they did do a good job. I was pleased with them. I don’t think Tait was impressed but I thought they were cool. I got almost 4 totes with 2 large trash bags into two large totes with a “small” tote and 3 big space bags Tait just said I just moved the stuff around but I think it looks better. If we have girl boy this kid isn’t going to need a THING! So the next step is to remove all the extra furniture and then get Lehna’s new furniture moved in. She needs a dresser so if anyone knows of where I can get my hands on one CHEAP let me know. I was very proud of us… and I threw away soooo much crap so I was proud over that too! So the next step will take a bit more planning b/c I will have to be able to get into the shed… to move the extra furniture. I just need to be able to put the stuff in there.
Another exciting thing is I got my garage door fixed. That was exciting after he fixed it he goes. “you are definitely going to want to get this door replaced” He said that the door is deemed “dangerous” he said that he had to fix some of the steel bars between the slats and stuff and he said that if the garage door comes off the pollies then we will want to take the opener off and use the door manually and I said “well it get us through the winter” and he said “probably” and I said that’s all I need it to do as long as I can get through the winter without having to scrap my car, that’s the goal you know for the winter! So maybe this spring we can invest in a new door for the garage. It’s one of those things that we will have to wait and see what happens.
Another project… I have decided that I can fix my couch cushions. I have decided that I can take the fabric from dad’s old chair and replace the fabric that’s on the couch. It won’t look 100 pretty but at least we won’t see the horrible cushions which we can see now. It will take me some time to do this but since dads chair it to the point of not being able to fix it I can use the fabric for the other seating in my house. So that’s my next goal and since I want to move that chair out of Baby Bs room this is the perfect excuse to tear it up and use the pieces… now if I can just sew in a straight square we’ll be all set. Anyone that knows my sewing abilities it’s kind of scary… I make blankets for people but they are never the right “size” and they hardly ever turn out with 90 degree angels so it will be a challenge but I think I’m up to it!

Here's the update for the Week!
I just wanted everyone to know that I did go to Baby B’s appointment this week and everything is hunky dory! Baby was moving around on the doctor soooo he found the heartbeat and then the baby moved so I just got to hear it for a second. But it was enough that the doctor said that the baby was fine… I asked him if he thought it sounded like a boy heartbeat or girl and he said he wouldn’t touch that with a 10 foot pool. I have decided that the Dr’s annoying “you see what I’m saying” is a speech impediment… He was talking to me about skiing and he kept saying “you see what I’m saying” like literally after every sentence and I was just thinking that surly this doctor doesn’t think I’m this retarded that he thinks that I don’t know what skiing is… LOL Soooooo I have decided that it is infact a flaw in his speech not that he thinks I’m retarded… at least that’s what I’m saying! And another tid bit about Baby B is Tait and I have decided to do an ultrasound of Baby B before the ultrasound the doctor gives me at 32 weeks! We have decided we are going to go November 18th to a clinic in Indy and have them do a 3D ultrasound… I can’t take waiting until week 32 can’t do it can’t do it! Last time I thought I didn’t have a choice but Jackie was good enough to supply me with information that lead me to a clinic in Indy… so I’ll be attending that for the ultrasound! I’m very excited!
Another fun this is this weekend Tait, Lehna, and I are going to go to the Purdue football game! Yep that’s right! My wonderful boss gave me his tickets for the game this weekend so we are going to use those so we only have to get a ticket for Lehna. This will be Lehna’s first football game for college she did fine at the high school game she liked to climb on the seats and stuff so we’ll have fun there… we’ll have to go to the snack stand and stuff to kind of stretch her legs and stuff but it will be fun I think. We are also going to tailgate so that will be fun too! I haven’t tailgating in so long! I think that we are going to do simple stuff I’m just interested in getting smore stuff b/c that’s what I REALLY want right now! So we will have to get that stuff.
Tait has his fall office party this Friday. I am a little nervous b/c I have not meet this people before besides a couple of them when I worked at Ladoga and it wasn’t under a good circumstance soooooooo we’ll see. Tait said there will be a hayride and the whole thing soooooo we’ll have to see how it goes. I think Lehna will like the hayride… Tait claims he’s never been on a hayride… I believe that as much as I do him growing up in South Carolina with his southern accent… he’s cute isn’t he folks! Got to love him. So it should be fun I think. Hopefully we are talking campfire food I love it! I could grow fat on hotdogs and smores thank goodness that these are fall foods!
Work this week… Well work has been up and down this week I have had some stressful things and then some things I can’t control to things that I’m like darn it if I would have done this part differently. I know it’s a learning process and I want to get better at it and I know the longer I do it the better I will get at it I just get frustrated at things… I know it’s a REAL shocker to those that don’t know me! My bosses are out of the office next week they are going on a trip out of the county so it should be interesting next week. We get to wear jeans any day next week soooo I’m VERY VERY excited about that! Jeans seem to make me feel better. I like dressing up to work on occasion so jeans is a nice change.
For those of you watching Dancing with the Stars I am disappointed they didn’t kick Jerry off this week! I frankly think it’s his time and don’t like the fact he will be one there next week! He’s just not that good.. I know he’s cute and stuff and it’s kind of go that gimmicky thing going for it… but at the same time… I don’t know it’s just kind of boring. I also love the dancing part hate the results show why someone decided that it needed to be an hour long is BEYOND me…way too long if you ask me. Unfortunately they didn’t ask me sooooo I’m stuck with the producer’s decision.
Well that’s about my life right now and all I have for now… I will update you to let you know how the weekend went.

Weekly Update!
I figured I’d better update for this week so here it is and all its glory!
This weekend Tait and I traveled north to visit Helen & Tim in Peru. Tim was home from North Dakota this weekend so we wanted Lehna to be able to see her. We went up on Friday night and Lehna was excited as we pulled up it was very sweet she was kicking her feet and everything it was so cute. So after we got her out of the car we ate dinner Helen made egg rolls and they were fabulous!!! Tait, Trent, & Tim went to the Northwestern vs. Purdue game and they won for those of you that don’t know. But the upset of the weekend was Indiana beating Iowa which is just all kinds of wrong. When the boys went off to watch the game Stephanie got to do some MUCH needed shopping for the Bell Bell and let me tell you I may have gone a little nuts I mean I don’t know Lehna actually needed snow pants but they were only 10 bucks sooooooo I figured why not and I got her another winter coat since I think she outgrew her last one. So we will have to take her outside LOTS AND LOTS or visit Grandma Jeanette LOTS and lots since its northern and it’s colder there! But they had sooooo many sales everything I got her was on sale so that’s my positive but I did spend wayyyyyy tooooo much on a child that will probably only be in these clothes for about 2 months! But I Tait said that if we have a girl then its well worth it and I agree! Tanna and I went together as she searched for a maternity shirt. It’s funny I even got some stuff for Tait but I didn’t by ONE thing for myself… I guess I figured that in a couple of weeks I’ll have to get some more shirts and clothes anyways for me and the expanding body so I figured that I would just wait why spend the money if you can’t have instant gratification I say!
On Sunday we came back home really early which was really nice b/c it gave me a chance to get all of the laundry done and a chance to do the dishes which I left two sinks full before we left so I thought it was all good. Lehna was upset when Helen and Tanna left to go to Williamsport so we left shortly after they did. So after we got all the things done cleaning up after the dogs and that kind of stuff I went through Lehna’s closet. I pulled out three trash bags full of clothes for this child! So I replaced all of her clothes with the new ones and weeded out all the clothes that didn’t fit her I had like 12 month stuff in her closet that just needed to be put away, I also pulled all of her summer clothes out it was kind of fun and sad at that same time. I still don’t have my space totes I know I know I need to get to post office to get them and I know that too but I’m just not available when the freaking office is open. I wish they were b/c I have tons of crap to put in them! I was looking at the calendar today thinking man that room has a ton of stuff that needs to be changed and well… I haven’t done anything to it yet… such a slacker aren’t I!
Tomorrow I have an appointment with Baby B well of course with Baby B I mean he isn’t coming out tomorrow… So hopefully everything will be fine with that… Just think 5 more weeks and we will do an ultrasound! Can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait! Not that I’m excited or anything! Tanna offered Sam’s sister at the hospital but I would have to come during the week and that doesn’t really work with my schedule. So we will just have to pay since the doctor is a big meany! Well I know this is a short entry but that’s life right now kind of boring and nothing really exciting happened this weekend and I don’t have big plans this week just normal work stuff.

The Pumpkin Patch
What lucky readers you all are you get TWO repeat TWO updates in ONE weekend! Wow you are sooooo special! We were lucky enough to be able to take pictures and get them off the camera ALLLLLL in the same day. Boy oh Boy we maybe adding pictures more often… well back to the update. Again the pictures may not go with the text but HEY THERE’S PICTURES JUST ENJOY THEM OKAY! J/K
It wasn’t much of a maze but it was fun. Lehna walked a little through it but mostly wanted to be picked up and carried through it, it must be intimidating for her. I was leading the way and I got to be the “spider web catcher” I dubbed myself this name b/c every 2 feet I walked into a NEW spider web. They were usually just a one strander but it still was annoying. We walked to the “end” of the maze and was greeted but a very large Indian tee pee I don’t know why they had a tee pee but they did and we walked inside and walked outside. Lehna was VERY brave she walked straight up to and went inside without any second thoughts. So we followed her and then we walked out of the maze. It wasn’t really much of a maze I mean there were different paths cut but I think they all ended in the same place.
After that we went to the cabin. They recently built this cabin about two years ago when we first started going to the pumpkin patch the cabin didn’t exist but they felt they needed it and so they built it. It’s kind of neat it’s a nice cabin. I don’t know what they do with it during the rest of the year but for the fall it’s a nice place to display gourds and pumpkins.
Lehna liked to look at the flowers and play with the hay. There were these kids that were playing in the cabin and Lehna kept trying to go over to them and play. Which was cute but we wanted to pick out a pumpkin and she just wasn’t into it.
We walked around the different rows of the pumpkins and Lehna just kind of would touch them and then move on I don’t know if she was trying them out or what but we did decide on a nice size on of her and we got on for herself. We are going to have her write all over it with a magic marker for her decorating this year. We didn’t get this accomplished today but we probably will by next weekend, or should I say but Halloween and if not… well oh well.
I did take a number of pictures of her walking around looking at the different things but they are mostly of the back of her head b/c she refused to look my direction. But these are the shots I was able to capture that I thought were the cutest. Lehna was a VERY tired girl today she went to sleep at 7 right after she had half a hot dog. I guess the zoo and the pumpkin patch wore her out. So hopefully she’ll sleep well tonight. Well that’s all I got I hop you enjoyed our entry.
The Pumpkin Patch
As promised we did go to the pumpkin patch today so Lehna could pick out her pumpkin. We arrived before they opened the first attempt so we had to try again once the opened but we were NOT disappointed again this year. The owner who was incredibly nice greeted us who explained how the pricing worked on the pumpkins, where the “nature trail” was located, and how to enter the corn maze. We didn’t go on the nature trail but we did go through the corn maze.It wasn’t much of a maze but it was fun. Lehna walked a little through it but mostly wanted to be picked up and carried through it, it must be intimidating for her. October is Here
Well I am under strict instructions that I am to keep this updated once a week. I will do my best Mom, but I do slack on occasion. So far this weekend has been busy and it’s only Saturday. Today Jackie and I decided to take Baby Zach & Lehna to the Zoo. It was a good time. I have some pictures that I was able to finally GET OFF my camera so this makes me excited for all of those to see Lehna pictures. I’m going to place them sporadically through this update so they may not make sense with the text but bear with me anyway!
The zoo was great fun. I really wanted to see how Lehna would react to the different animals and things. And I must say I was a little disappointed. I thought she would react more to the different animals and she really didn’t. Would look at the bears and afterwards would repeat the word bear over and over and that was about the most reaction we got. I think she had more fun just pushing the stroller around when we took breaks to sit down.
The zoo wasn’t very busy which was nice but it was a nice 58-65 degrees outside and the sun was shinning bright so it was nice jacket weather. I LOVE jacket weather it is my absolute favorite type of weather. So it was enjoyable to get the kids out to enjoy the day. I don’t think Zach has as much fun as Lehna did. He was upset a lot and Jackie and I took turns trying to soothe him. I think he just wanted to watch the football games on TV today instead of visit the zoo, but we’ll have to try again in a few more months.
Jackie and I have decided that on the next “crappy” weekends for bad weather we are going to take the kids to the Children’s museum. They have this water part there for an exhibit were kids build boats and test them out, but you can also build dams in the water and reroute the water and stuff. This is Tait’s FAVORITE place to visit. Usually it takes us MUCH longer to get him away from this exhibit then it does anyone else. So I can only imagine what Lehna will be like since she LOVES playing in the water for bathes and even in the dog’s dish. Jackie said they have a glass exhibit right now that is supposed to be really cool so we will go to that before it changes.
Tait and I were going to take Lehna to Feast of the Hunter’s Moon in Lafayette but we both kind of decided that we didn’t know just what Lehna would enjoy there since she’s still just a little young. We think by next year she will REALLY enjoy the festival and we’ll take her there instead. So I think tomorrow the plan is to venture to the Pumpkin Patch which is actually just down the road from us. They always have LOTS of pumpkins to choose from so we wanted to let Lehna pick her own pumpkin this year. So if the weather stays as nice as it’s supposed to tomorrow that’s what we will be doing, oh and my mount of laundry that’s covering my carpet in the bedroom.
I didn’t get to check the mail today so I don’t know if my new space totes came in yet, which I’m kind of bumped about. I want to start working on Lehna’s “new” room but I need to get some place to put all of her clothes that don’t fit anymore so I was watching TV one day and they had the new Space Totes come on for a commercial. They are very similar to the Space bags but these fold down into an actually square once you take the air out of them and I thought they would be perfect for Lehna’s room so I can compile her stuff. So this will be another weekend I don’t work on her room if I’m not careful we will be doing her room the night before Baby B gets here!
Well Tait is transferring to a new county starting on Tuesday. This county is closer to home so he is excited. I’m also excited b/c that means about 40 minutes of sleeping EXTRA a day since he will be able to take Lehna to daycare with PLENTY of time every day. But unfortunately it won’t mean much for the next two weeks B/C next week is my early week at work AND the week after that Tait has training for four days so he will not be able to take Lehna to daycare everyday which stinks. He is excited about working so close to home and I’m glad he’s glad. His old county had a going away party for him on Friday and there were MANY in attendance and I think that really made Tait feel good. Lehna and I were at another event helping Tanna with her school project so we couldn’t go but Tait said it was a good time.
I think I will close my update for today I may update tomorrow if we do end up going to the pumpkin patch and I take pictures AND am able to load them on the computer… if I CAN’T accomplish all three of those things then… just know we had a good time. LOL okay that’s all I got. Thanks for reading about us.

I think I will close my update for today I may update tomorrow if we do end up going to the pumpkin patch and I take pictures AND am able to load them on the computer… if I CAN’T accomplish all three of those things then… just know we had a good time. LOL okay that’s all I got. Thanks for reading about us.
